A veteran of the last Ice War with the Azgeda, Wren had lived in Coesbur his entire life, with something that bordered on a large family, being the only son of four children. It's also pretty well known that Pontus kom Trikru and Rain kom Trikru were both adopted into the family by Wren's mother, Peake kom Trikru.
Wren has made no bones about being a Skaikru sympathizer, never mind that his Second was formerly of the Skaikru and his Niron is one as well. He believes in the idea of peace between the two cultures and that any more fighting is, and will be fruitless in the end.
His family has been quietly moderate through the years, the types that would rather seeks understanding in all things before jumping off the handle with cries for retribution or revenge. This doesn't mean they won't eventually follow orders if given, but it's clear they don't adhere to the addage of Blood must have blood nearly as much as others. There's an idea that Wren simply believes there's a better and fears if they keep going by this rule, they will eventually destroy themselves through hate.
The matter of Lark is a touchy subject for him, and most people know not to bring up his dead younger sister. Usually it means risking getting punched in the face over it. No, it's better to not bring it up unless he mentions it personally.
He was one of the two captured by the Skaikru initially. And he wasn't the most hospitable of guests. Yet it seems like it made enough of an impact that he returned some weeks later to offer weapon training.
Oh, he may be looked at as the guy that convinced, or stole, depending on how looks at it, two Skaikru away from the Ark.
Other than that, he's usually the really big guy who may or may not be only mildly terrifying.
Wren's parents were a warrior and a weaponsmith(such as they are). Spent time either with his mother on the hunt, or searching for decent metal with his father to make into weapons or armor. Eventually, he would start training his little sister Lark when she was the same age as he.
Eventually began training as a young warrior when it was decided, mostly by his parents, that he would be best fit for those who defend and protect the village, along with taking part in the raiding parties when the tribe came into conflict with another. And Mountain Men.
Became something of an expert with the sword, or at least found himself to have a keen warrior spirit. Or he just was a natural at learning the art of war from those he trained with and followed. HIs sister Lark, followed suit, becoming more of a scout like their mother. This did allow them to bond as fast friends, siblings, and compatriots, always looking out for one another.
Wren had an interest in history, such as it was. History of the tribes, and the history of the time before the tribes. Old Earth relics. The very, very few books he's managed to find and salvage are prized treasures to him, even if he can't read them. Though he pours over them delicately, trying to learn the langauge. To understand more. He also has a very good singing voice, a gift from his father, which in turn did make him a little popular with some women of the tribe who liked that kind of thing.
Eventually, Wren sustained an injury to his ankle on a raid, and for a time it seemed like it would never heal right. This in turn led him think that possibly his time with tribe was over, and that he should join the Boat People, turning his life to introspection and philosophy, as the two were pastimes of his.
However, when he learned that an old friend of his Gideon had been taked with returning Skaikru prisoners to the chieftan, he joined. Not only to keep an eye out on his friend, but that Lark was amoung the group. So of course he would make sure she would be alright.
In the end, Wren could not save Lark, Gideon, or himself. Captured with the former, and watched the latter die. He could not save anyone in the end, ending in a conflict of confidence. However, it didn't stop him giving as little as possible to the Skaikru, already picking out the one that killed his sister.
There was a bit of surprise when he realized that group of Skaikru helped them escape, taking them back to speak with Oxfor. Wren only did what was needed, at least these children had some worth to them. However, Wren soon departed, to look for the body of his sister, to say goodbye.
Wren could be possibly be considered attractive, were one to give him a well-needed bath. Six foot four and likely all muscle, this Grounder warrior appear to of seen his fair share of combat, given by thin rise of scar tissue on his right cheek. Long shaggy and dirty blonde hair either cover his face or his back, allowing a pair of blue eyes peek out from said hair. Also, like many other Grounders, he's on the scruffy side, though perhaps lacks an offical beard of any sort.
His armor is of the classic Grounder make: hardened boiled leather, sewn with intermittent pieces of metal over vital areas. The majority of his armor consists of a leather longcoat, hide pants, a baggy, but rough wool hewn shirt, and a pair of boots likely taken off of a dead Mountain Man. His axe, larger than most, lays flat to his back it's holster. A series of small, long bones, carved with various signs and symbols sits around his neck, which likely only have meaning to him.
- Even-Keeled - Everything in moderation. While Wren may have his particular buttons that can be pushed, most times he tends to stay very steady, only raising his voice when it needs to be done. Steady mind on the mental rudder.
- Warrior-Sage - The thinking man's warrior. He's a philosopher. Likes to consider why things are they way they currently are, and if there ways to make them better or improve them. Things about life are worth considering, from any and all sides. Having one mindset is a weakness and a warrior must have a strong mind and heart, as well as body.
- Historian - While he has an interest in keeping the lore of his village, and more in particular, his family, Wren has a unnatural desire to know more about the world before the Dark Times. This makes him curious about old relics such as books, Rubik's Cubes, cheese graters, and any other such things that might gleam knowledge of what came before the clans.
- Likes Jokes - Oh yeah, the guy loves a good joke, good humor and more than willing to share some of his own. If it's something worth laughing at, he'll probably appreciate it.
- Secret Singer - Really good singer. As in, better than he has a right to be. Not something he shares very openly, and a few select people know about this ability of his, but yeah, he can really belt it out.
