54 Days After Landing

Stepping out of the elevator, Cass moves over towards the coffee that's just lying around and picks up the one that isn't knocked over. After a quick sniff to assess the contents, she downs it, gives the others a nod, and follows on after Gideon kom Skaikru.

<FS3> Gideon rolls Stealth-1: Success. (3 6 7 2 2 3 6)
<FS3> Silas rolls Stealth-1: Success. (5 6 7)
<FS3> Cassandra rolls Stealth: Good Success. (8 8 3 6 2)

The lack of security detail personnel surprises Gideon as the lift doors open. She had been ready for it, arrow nocked despite the slightly awkward stance in her wounded leg. She peers out from the lift doors, and eases out with a careful step. She glances toward Cass, holding up a hand to help indicate that she go slow and cautious. She doesn't want her head opened up the way Lieutenant Sambas's did, does she? She then looks over at the sign, and her brow furrows. Thanks to Lip's map though, she knows to go right despite the little tingle of curiosity.

Wren is not the stealthiest man who ever stealthed. Why should that be something he should be good at? He's no scout. Far too big of frame to be anything but a front-line warrior. Thankfully for Silver, he's gotten better at reading, though he can't make out all the signs he's trying to read once they get on the fifth floor. But he can read some of them, even if he makes no comment on it. Will leave the leading to the people who may have a better idea of where to go.

Silas is carefully stepping out with his pistol drawn and aiming generally down the sights as he looks over their surroundings. Silas is looking around cautiously before he looks over his shoulder to eye the direction Gideon and Cassandra are heading before he's lowering his aim and heading back towards that same direction with light and careful steps to minimize the noise he makes. Cam's suggestions for practice have actually managed to pay off!

<FS3> Grey rolls Wit+wit: Failure. (4 4 5 5)

Grey changes magazines on his rifle during the elevator ride, despite the cramped quarters, and when the doors open, the rifle barrel comes up, trained on… an empty hallway. He's clearly surprised by this fact. He strangles his impulse to dart out of the killbox at Gideon's gesture, waiting until she's given the all-clear, then starting out and to his right. That hesitation lets Cassandra get ahead of him, but when she stops for the coffee, he continues past her, softly clattering right past the door to the Visitors' Residence… which is the one opposite the coffee cups.

The coffee inside those cups is still warm, although not hot.

Morgan isn't even going to try to be stealthy. It's not his thing. And it's not like they don't already know they're here and what their likely target is. Once he's done taking care of Rinnan, he unslings his rifle again, not wanting to get familiar with the mountain's weapon in the middle of a fight. Hurry!

Ah, sweet caffeine. Just the pick-me-up a girl needs after shooting people, being shot at, and bandaging up her bloody friends. The fact that the coffee is still warm does make Cassie narrow her eyes down at the cup and glance back towards the door where it's been set down. She goes quiet and cautious just as Gideon instructed her, skulking her way along the corridor just as Gideon instructed her to stop doing around Camp Jaha. Cass knows how to use her assets to her advantage.

"We got company," she hisses to the group, once she's close enough to whisper to them again. Indicating her reason for thinking so, she raises up the empty cup in her hand, then sets it aside to wrap her fingers around the hilt of her shiny new sheathed short-sword.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Wit+wit: Success. (6 3 2 6 4 7 3 2)
<FS3> Asher rolls Wit+wit: Success. (8 3 6 5)
<FS3> Silas rolls Wit+Wit: Success. (4 1 8 1 5 5 1 6)

When the doors open and they aren't riddled with bullets, there's a vague look of relief. Asher pulls the half full mag out of his rifle, and slides the full mag into place. He stashes the half full one into the ammo pouch he's been carrying. Out into the hallway and, ignoring the coffee, he moves out of the elevator and follows Grey. His rifle is trained towards to a forward field of fire, but angled towards the ground.

Asher clears his throat. "Grey." He says as he slows in front of the door to the Visitors Residence, "I think this is the door you wanted.." He jerks his head towards the door, smirking at the guard.

"Shit… uh… I was…" Grey hesitates, then doesn't even try to play off his gaffe. He shakes his head, wincing as he does, "Right." And he reverses course, walking backwards so that he can still cover the hallway. When he reaches the doorway, he lowers his rifle, reaching out with his left hand to the door-handle… and gets a nice solid shock. In fact, there's a clear blue spark that jumps from the handle to his hand, and he flinches back, working his fingers and cursing aloud, "Fuck!"

Inside the Visitor's Residence, things have been relatively quiet, and then… there is a zap sort of sound from the door, a few blue sparks from the wires running from the card-reader inside to the door itself, and a muffled, "Fuck!" from outside.

Wren hangs in the background, watching Grey struggle with the door. A sniff before he starts to move forward. "You want some help with that?" he offers, seeming to suggest to break the door down.

Inside, Cameron and company have built a barricade and Tink has gone to town with the boobytraps. They've also, with great effort, dismantled a bed, and that means Cameron has himself a metal rod which will double as a knife for the purposes of stabbing vampires through the heart. Metal works on these vampires, he's sure of it. So he crouches, hearing sounds, and he looks left and right to his compatriots, "We fight, don't let them take you." He crouches, moving to hide at the side of the room as best he can, the better to jump out and kill him some vampires. Cameron the Vampire Slayer is on duty, waiting.

"Shit…they're coming for more," Tink shouts out to the others, rolling off her bunk and gripping her pipe in hand, "The door is only going to slow them guys…then they have to get through the barricade. Stay out of sight of the door cause if they have guns, they can shoot at us once they get those doors open." She gives a look to her friends, "And remember…if you get close enough, grab a key card, it's our ticket for getting out of here."

At the sparks and the swearing, Madelyn lets out a startled yelp, jumping from her bed to grab the repurposed chair leg she apparently thought was a great idea to wield against the well-trained soldiers with assault rifles.

<FS3> Cole rolls Wit+Wit: Success. (5 4 4 4 8 1)

Gideon has followed, taking care. Her bow is out, arrow nocked, and eyes continuing to scan the hallway. When Grey touches the door and gets zapped, her brows arch up in alarm. Her gaze cuts to Cassandra and Asher, and she gives both a slight nod. Then she steps forward closer, and calls through the door. "Yu hon yu in osir sisplei!" Because, for some reason, she thinks shouting in Trigedasleng is better than Gonasleng at this point.

Silas quietly stands aside as he holds his pistol down and at his side, quietly watching Grey as he goes to work with the handle of the door before he's shocked- wincing somewhat. "Electrical door handle?" he says as he stares at it for a moment or two before he sighs and looks away and continues to aim down the hall with furrowed brows. "Fuckin' Mountain Fucks." And here come the nicknames.

Cole was, or has been building whatever was needed to barricade the door. So when he hears someone at said door, he jumps a little. "Fuck, here we go." he grunts. But he stops, looking at the door. "Wait wait guys." he holds up the door. "I feel like I've heard that 'fuck' said at me before." Because who else would recognize the voice of someone swearing, other than the man who does it the most? Besides, not like he's going to forget the times he and Grey argued.

<FS3> Asher rolls Brawn+brawn: Good Success. (3 5 2 8 4 7 3 7)

Max's got a piece of metal bed leg in one hand and stands near the doorway off to one side, hoping to take a crack at whoever might come through it. He's tense, coiled and ready to take another crack at bringing down one of the guards, this time not with his bare hands.

<FS3> Wren rolls Brawn+Brawn-2: Success. (3 8 4 3 2 3)

Reno had been trying to rig an electric trap out of the tv and bed framed waiting to turn it on and ruin a guard's day. "If we can get out we have to find the others and the control access room. they aren't playing anymore. and neither are we. "

Much like the others in the room, Quinn has found the nearest reasonable weapon like object, and is lurking near the door, back against the wall. Her weapon of choice appears to be another piece of the broken down beds, and she's got it held in one hand like a club, waiting.

Mimi has been sitting in the corner, working in her notebook. Like she has for most of the trip. The trip from hell. Oh sure it was all 5-star accommodations at first. But the service is going to have to receive a 1-star. She hides behind Cameron and Tink's bunk with a pipe in hand, rubbing it on the ground a little "Grasp firmly..strike in head. Operation seems simple enough.." She looks to her two compatriots "Would it not be a nice thought if they were just bringing us some more of that cake?"

"They're in there?" Morgan asks, watching Grey get zapped. Not that he really needs an answer since everyone saw Lip's map. "They charged the door so we couldn't get in?" Add one more reason to kill the bastards. Moving closer, he shouts "CAM! ARE YOU IN THERE?"

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Alertness: Good Success. (7 3 4 7 7 5 2)

Given that Cassandra is about as mighty as a leaf on the wind, she most definitely isn't going to be lending her strengths to any attempts to break the door down. At the sight of Grey being shocked, she raises her brows, before her gaze cuts over to Wren. This seems to her like a very bad idea. A very, very bad idea. So she steps way back next to Gideon, bow at the ready, and relegates herself to the role of hall-monitor, scanning for signs of more guards come to resume their coffee break.

"Together." Wren grunts at Asher, suggesting they throw their combined weight and strength into the door. And then the Trikru throws his good shoulder into the barrier, which, when combined with Asher makes the door give way partially. And what do they see? A big man wearing a black painted Jason Vorhees type mask staring at them. "They are here! Skaikru, your people have come for you!" It really one of those 'heeeeeeere's Johnny!' sorta things, isn't it?

Cameron glances at Tink, "Don't worry about them shooting us, the one thing we don't have to worry about today is them shooting us. They want our blood, Tink. Can't afford to waste it on the floor." But then there's shouting, "Morgan?!" And he's standing up straight, staring at the door, "MORGAN!" He's wide eyed and staring at shock, "They got our message! Morgan came for us!" Also other people he supposes.

Asher was standing in front of the door since he told Grey about it. After the shock, he seems to have the same idea as Wren. He looks over to Wren, nodding to him. When they don't take down the door Asher grunts and ooofs quietly. He wasn't expecting a barricade. "Fuck…" But then there people are back there, "Fuck guys, unblock the door so we can finish fucking rescuing you!" Fuck!

"Goddamn it, Cole!" At least, Grey assumes it was Cole who wired the door. The words are shouted at the door, carefully a few inches back from the electrified door. Gideon's choice of Trigedasleng causes him to frown, then shrug. Can't hurt, well, unless they react like Lip did. Wren's query causes Grey to shrug, and then Asher's kicking the door and Wren putting a shoulder into it, and Grey waves a hand for him to hold off, stepping forward and calling at the door again, "Get that damn door open, we're getting the shit outta here!"

Madelyn's eyes go wide and she dashes over to Cameron in disbelief. "I think that's seriously Morgan. He's… he's alive! You were right!" She still grips her chair leg, but the slight girl's face lights up and a smile nearly cracks her face. "Reno! Tink! How… how do we un-trap this?"

There's a moment where Max looks like he's going to swing anyway when the door partially open, until the voices on the other side begin to come to him. Grey's voice is familiar, as is Morgan's. The Trigadesleng is perplexing until the face with the mask can be seen in the door. Either way, it's all enough to cause him to hesitate and not swing first, ask questions later. "Oh shit." He blinks, and then tosses the bed part on the floor and goes about trying to drag stuff out of the way of the doors.

Reno dropped the tv and looked to Cole, "We did it! We got the message out!" He ran over to the bed frames and grunted trying to move them zapping his hands on the electrical discharge. He yelped in pain but worked again to reground the contraption to budge it.

"Be careful! We set traps!" Cameron shouts, "Uhh don't touch the door Tink wired it so those floating bastards can't get in. Uhh give us a second to un-trap things!" And then he's waving the techs forward, urgently. He's practically bouncing. There's some KISSING and HUGGING and other things that needs doing RIGHT NOW and these traps and barricades are in the way. Oh. Barricades. He goes and grabs a bed and starts dragging it away from the door.

"What the fuck else did you expect us to do? Let'em come in here so they suck us dry?" Cole shouts back at the door, more than happy to take the credit for it, even if it was more of a group project. Turning the current off is easy enough to do; unplug the tv. Or the parts from the tv. "C'mon, get this shit taken off the door." Then he's moving to help pull shit away from the door.

Mimi peers up over the barrier at the voices and names. The door is broken down partially, and there's some psycho with a murder-mask. She shrieks and points with her hand holding her notebook, throwing her pipe at the masked man. "Wait..we're being..rescued? Uh. Sorry." She moves with the others to unblock the door.

"Fuck." Quinn straightens from where she's been waiting to bash someone's skull in, shoving the metal piece into a belt hole before she moves to help drag things back away from the door.

"Hurry up, guys, I don't wanna get shot!" calls Silas out and at the door, to those inside and those nearby. Silas looks back out and to the hall after that- hall-monitoring with Cass, except he has a gun instead of a bow. Then he's hearing things clanging as something's thrown and he's looking back with curiously furrowed brows. "..What are they doing in there?" he murmurs under his breath with a slow blink.

"Flames!" Wren jumps back when he feels the shock from the door, rubbing his shoulder, and grunting. He'll certainly back off since the others are disarming whatever the hell they had set up. "Smart move." he does admit though. "At least they would not make it easy."

"They trapped the door. Don't touch it." Morgan tells Grey with a huge grin as he claps the man on the shoulder. That was Cam's voice. "Get your fucking ass out here, Cam!" he shouts. "I promised your dad I'd come get you."

<FS3> Cole rolls Electronics: Failure. (5 5 3 5 4 2 3 3)
<FS3> Tink rolls Electronics: Success. (6 3 5 4 3 7 4 5)
<FS3> Reno rolls Electronics: Good Success. (4 5 4 8 1 5 5 5 1 8 4)
<FS3> Mimi rolls Electronics: Good Success. (2 5 8 1 5 6 5 4 7)

Tink starts joining in and working quickly now that it's clear that the cavalry is on the other side. She helps Reno remove the electrified parts while the others start moving the bulky pieces, "Damn it! Sorry…man, sorry. We were trying to stop them from taking us."

Madelyn stuffs a bunch of books from her bed, as well as Tink and Reno's, into a pillowcase, along with her sewing and knitting kit. "I got the books, Reno!" she calls out, securing the pillowcase with a knot and heading over to help haul the furniture.

When Cole goes to try and power off the electric trap, he gets himself a shock. "Fuck! Fuck fuck fuck!" he waggles his hand. "Fuck, who wired this part? Who the hell made this fuckin mess of wiring? Tink, was this you? Could've made it a little fuckin easier to disarm." He backs off, that wasn't the part of the trap that he had set up. "Someone else handle that shit."

Grey steps back from the door after his shout, nodding to Morgan, "Yeah. I got that." He can definitely deadpan nicely. And then a big grin splashes across his face, "Told you we'd make it in time." He even returns the clap to Morgan's shoulder. Turning out to the hallway, he warily watches down the right-hand hallway, back toward the elevator, and gestures to the others, "Keep watch. I dunno how long this is gonna take, but they ain't gonna drive us off now. A couple of rifles each direction, bows in the middle to fire past. Blades ready to push out if they get close."

"I wasn't planning on removing it!" Tink apologizes to Cole as he swears like a beast after her trap zaps him, "I was trying to fry the security guards." She keeps on working on getting this removed. It's going to take them a few minutes because Tink, Reno and Cole did wire the hell out of this door and the barricade.

<FS3> Cameron rolls Electronics: Failure. (5 6 5 3)

Mimi takes over for Cole along with the other technically inclined. She takes a moment to carefully poke her notebook out of the door's opening to offer it to those outside "Detailed maps of every place we were offered access in complete detail built to accurate scale. Camera locations and angles are also notated." She waits for someone to take it (or if they don't she will retract it) before going back to work removing the electrification

Reno cast a baleful look to Cole and said"we were trying to kill the fucking people turning our fucking people into fucking food, Cole." he worked on his tech to Cole explanation calmly.

For now, Asher will be on rifle patrol, since they need to clear away from the door for the time being. Asher takes up a position about ten feet back from the door, in the middle of the hallway, rifle pointed down to the left of the door they are waiting on if facing it. Whatever cardinal direction that is, somewhere NorEaSouWesterlyish. "Let's hurry this up so we can get out of here without getting shot at gain." Likely story, that.

"We kind of made a barricade! We're working on it, Morgan. Wait. My dad's alive?!" Cameron shouts through the mess, pulling the first bed back just enough then grabbing the next one, trying to unwire it himself. Now he gets a shock and grunts, "Fuck! Ow. Morgan, they lied to us, they told us you were all dead and that they searched out the ark wreckage and everyone died. I didn't believe them for one minute!" He totally did. Its not Denial if some part of you doesn't believe it.

"Less talking, more clawing our way out of here." Quinn suggests, tossing things out of the way when she can, or just generally shoving things enough to get the door open enough for people to squeeze out of.

"What did we say about talking?" Cassandra mutters under her breath. She's no longer actually trying to convince anyone to be stealthy, but the more people shout, the more she frowns. Her eye and bow stay trained on the hallway.

Tink continues to work, removing the wires that she's tied together and every once in a while yelping as she shorts and wringing her hand, "Fuck…I should have taken more time putting this together." But she was mad, freaking mad when the Mountain Men took their people by gun point and she wasn't worried about an elegant solution right then.

"Not fuckin caring right now, Reno. Plans change." Cole grumbles, going to back helping take everything down. "Can bitch about that shit later." Really, it's just messy to think that maybe a way could've been found. Or he just doesn't like difficult set up and tear down. Everything should be neat and cleanly.

Silas keeps his stance on the sidelines as he looks out and around at he surroundings off the hallway. When Cassandra mutters, Silas looks over with a quirked right brow and a shrug. "We're delinquents for a reason, y'know." he says before he's back to looking around- tracking his sight with the aim of his pistol as he waits for the doors to open.

Grey shrugs helplessly at Cassandra's grumbling, even if some part of him agrees with her. Still, a little smile keeps trying to gather back at the corners of his mouth. Now they just have to get out. "Lip made it out to us. Told us just how to get to ya." He did promise the Mouthy One to talk him up for the possibility of rescued-sex. "Everyone in here still okay? All twenty-three?" Someone else can take the notebook from Mimi through the partially-opened door, he'll keep his eyes down the hallway.

Reno looked to Tabitha and ran back from the door when a reasonable enough gap was achieved. he grabbed the two pillowcases (pillow too) loaded with… whatever he chose to salvage apparently. One was handed to Tink and the other one and a half were tucked in arms. he looked around and was suddenly a bit torn. He froze.

Wren will take note of the notebook sticking out, a big hand grabbing at it, taking it to look over. "Maps of this place." he utters, looking at them. "But only of this floor, I think." There's a bit more looking at things, trying discern where they should go next.

Gently, Madelyn rests her hand on Reno's arm. "I'm sorry," she says softly, looking up at him. "I'm sorry this place let you down. We can talk about it… outside. Yeah."

"No…not all of us." Quinn responds to the question, "Three of us were taken recently for mad scientist experiments or some shit." She doesn't pause in getting things out of the way until she feels satisfied, glancing towards the others still locked inside the visitor's quarters.

"Yeah, he made it down fine, Cam. I went to see him a couple times." Morgan answers, leaning back against the wall to one side of the door so he can keep an eye down one corridor. "We'd have been here sooner but we had to make peace with the Coalition and then convince the Trikru to come help us destroy the mountain. I got you a rifle." Cause he cares.

"Hanne and Cookie disappeared a couple days ago… I think… I think they're dead. I think they were the first taken to be harvested. Then three were taken last night. Ruth, Rawlins and Adam. They're… They were taken to Medical. By force. We don't know if any of those five are still alive or not." Cameron calls through the door, not quite shouting exactly. Still, its just a door. He hears news of peace with the grounders, blinks, and that he has a rifle waiting for him? And he grins hugely. Morgan is not dead, and Morgan came for him, AND brought him a rifle. He's clearly the best boyfriend ever. And pulls more stuff away from the door, draaaag.

"We haven't seen Cookie or Hanne for days," Tink adds to the list of the missing, "We thought they grabbed Lip too." She continues to work on her wiring, it's slow going and Tink mentally promises herself that next time she does something like this, it's going to be much cleaner, "Did Cookie and Hanne get out too?" Cause maybe they got out like Lip, "And it was Dennis, Ruth and Adam that got taken the other night by the vampire scientists."

"We're going," Max tells Reno when he freezes. There's a don't-argue-just-do look given to his brother then, and then a little more gently, "For now. Just for now, we need to move and save ourselves." There can be more discussion later. He helps to finish off pulling things loose and then goes over to grab a couple of things from his bunk. These too he shoves in the pillowcase and asks Madelyn, "Can you take these, too? Stay nearby." He goes back to pick up a couple of sharp bed pieces for weapons. They'll make larger knives than the ones he had later. Then he moves forward once they're ready to go, moving up next to Quinn. "Did you see any of them?" he asks those outside.

"I didn't talk until they made me," Cassie retorts to Silas, where her delinquency is concerned. But now, of course, she's talking to. She hears a familiar voice, and gets momentarily distracted from her hall-monitoring duty.

"Quinn?" The grumbling Cass perks up, looking towards the door with raised brows. She turns to give Asher a blank, meaningful look, and although she was hoping the ex-C would be among those they found alive, suddenly she looks strangely dismayed by the revelation. Be careful what you wish for.

<FS3> Silas rolls Resolve: Failure. (3 2 1 1 6 2)

The words from Quinn cause Grey to stiffen up, his face going gray beneath his dark skin. And then Cameron adds in, and Grey staggers a little, a stricken look on his face. "Just… just Lip made it out to us." He licks his lips, pitching his voice for the ones outside, "Guys… I… I wanna go look for the missing ones." He knows he can't, and it shows in his expression and tone.

Inside, the wires finally are wrangled by the Techies, and the doors can be pried open safely (although they certainly don't open as well as they did before getting Wren'n'Asher'ed.

Reno swallowed and stared at Wren, terrified. When Madelyn grabbed his arm he looked to her, Tink, and Max. tears welled up and he just nodded obediently. he wasn't going to argue with Max once Max made up his mind.

Silas looks over his shoulder at the mention of Hanne having disappeared days ago. Brows furrowing and lips pushing down into a thin line, he's turning from watching the hallway as he steps over to the door- "What the fuck do you mean Hanne's missing? What the fuck is harvesting? Where is she?!" he asks, firmly and with rising desperation in his voice as he bares his teeth.

Max has a good idea, and Cole goes follow suit, taking a pillow case and filling it with the few things that he cares about. A small statue made by Scarlett she gave to him, his sketchbook, pencils, and that second sketchbook that he got but never actually got around to using. Just more paper, that's what that is. That's tied around his belt. It'll have to do since he's lacking for a backpack. "Alright, how the fuck are we getting out of here? And will someone give me a goddamn weapon?" Pause. "Please?"

Madelyn takes the pillowcase from Max. "Sure, no problem," she says, heading out to the hallway. She grins when she sees Silas. "You still got a partner, guy," she says. When Grey talks of finding the missing ones, she says, "I can take you to medical. They're… they're probably there."

There's a look at Reno when Wren sees him. He pulls the mask up, revealing his face. "Greetings, Skaikru. I mean you no harm. We are here to rescue you. It would be most wise if you came with us." Then he steps to side to show, he indeed is here with other Skaikru. "Your friends, I assume."

Mimi blinks "There is a coalition? And..the Trikru are not here to kill us then?" She finishes her part of the work and rushes to her bunk, taking the sheets, pillows, wrapping all her things together quickly but efficiently. She'll wait for everyone else to rush out the door. There isn't anyone really waiting to see her. She waits oddly calmly and patiently waiting her turn to step out of the room. A soft sigh. "I'm not so sure I deserve to be leaving here."

"Never again." Quinn murmurs quietly to Max when he approaches her, missing some of the things said outside before she curls her fingers into a fist, moving when it's time to move. "Seriously…anyone have a spare weapon, I really would love to shoot someone right about now. Or stab them. Anything…especially that one shitbag." Yeah, that one.

Grey unslings his Mountain-made assault rifle and hands it straight over to Quinn.

<FS3> Reno rolls Resolve: Good Success. (6 4 4 7 4 8)
<FS3> Cameron rolls Resolve: Success. (6 3 5 2 5 8)

A quick glance is given by Asher to Grey, "Every new place we go in here increases the chance that we get caught and killed…" Mostly likely by being harvested. "We came for them, we have them. Do we really have time to go looking around?" He didn't even have time to grab some decent armor. Asher still has the second rifle he pulled off the Mountain man, but since Grey already got her, he doesn't give her another gun.

Kai is probably hard to recognize from the back, covered in blood and ash and wearing Grounder gear. Different armour from what she used to wear, and a lot more stitches and scars. Still she casts a brief look at the room as the door opens but can't take her attention too far off guard duty.

"We can't just leave them," Madelyn argues. "They… they sacrificed for us and… and we… we can't just…" She shakes her head and buries her face in one of the pillowcases.

Silas is reaching back and over his shoulder as he unslings one of the rifles he got and holds it out offeringly to Max as he's looking over to Madelyn. The corners of his lip rise as though he might offer her a smirk- but instead there's just a small, "Hey." and he's looking back to the others. "Where do the people who get harvested go?" he asks- his voice growing rather deadpan, before he's looking over to Asher when he mentions whether or not to stay behind. "Hey, asshole-" growls Silas as he steps over with furrowed brows and a wide sneer, "Hanne's still fucking out here- we're not going without her." he says, a motion of his pistol downwards pointedly as if it drives his point home. Silas looks to Grey shortly after that, "Where do we go next?" he says, dropping a magazine out to check it after a bit of confused fumbling with the gun before pushing it back in as he's content with the ammo inside.

The door is open? Cameron is going to climb right over everyone if he has to, to fling himself through and ignore everything and everyone in the entire world until he sees Morgan, and then he's going to fling himself at Morgan, arms going around. Here, have some Cameron. Clinging. "You're not dead." he whispers, trembling. Roughly he says to the others, "We think they're in the secure lab in Medical. That's where they harvest Trikru. That's.. Fuck me, I can't remember what floor."

Quinn accepts the gun that Grey hands her, doing a quick check of it before she glances up at those that have arrived for a rescue, slanting a look at Silas and Madelyn, "I don't want to leave anyone here…but we should maybe also consider the risk we'd be taking, and if we're sure we can get directly to them, and then back out. I'll help get them out, if we can have a sixty percent chance at least of getting them out as well."

"Third floor…there's secured medical labs that they wouldn't show us through the infirmary," Tink tells the group as she looks to Reno and tries to give him a reassuring glance, "But that level has the most guards…" She bites her bottom lip and then notes, "How many are there?" She looks around and then sees Kia. Kai, her best bud, her roomie of awesomeness. She rushes her like crazy, going to hug her even if she's dressed like a Grounder.

"We're going to medical anyway, right?" Morgan asks Grey. "So if they're really there, we'll find them. And if they're not there, we'll be back and kill every single person in this damn mountain." And then the door opens enough and he looks over to see Cam and he steps forward and wraps his arms around him tightly. "Shut up." he says and kisses him hard.

Grey's shoulders slump further at Asher's words, but he nods, "Yeah. I know." His voice trembles as he admits it. Madelyn's offer perks him up just a touch, "Our exit's through medical. Through the Creepy Chamber of Horror." Lip's term, not his. "We'll check on the way." He's still trying desperately to pull himself together though. Beyond the rifle given to Quinn, he's got a pair of pistols to hand out, Tink gets one, and then, after a moment of hesitation, Cole gets the other, "Ash, give that rifle to Wood," that would be Lark. And then he's looking back to Silas, "We'll check on our way out. But the first thing we gotta do is get them the hell outta here. Stairwell." That would be further to the left. "Cass, Dee, take point with the keycard. It's time to move, people."

The words may be prophetic, as the entire hallway suddenly shakes violently, dust trickling down from the ceiling. A heartbeat later, there is an echoing boom. Something very, very large just exploded several floors up.

Max reaches out, tucking one knife-like weapon in his belt and takes Quinn's free hand, sliding his fingers through hers and giving it a firm squeeze before taking up his weapons again. "Never again," he murmurs quietly to her in return, exchanging a further quiet look. Then he looks back toward Madelyn and says "Stay behind Quinn and I if you can while we move." She's unarmed, and they are. He then reaches over and gives Reno's shoulder a quick squeeze. "I'm sorry," he says, and then it's off to wherever they are headed.

Hugs. Tink hugs! There's a groan from Kai, for all that her non-sword toting arm goes about the blond girl,"Gently." she protests,"Hi there. We made it."

Cole catches that look of hesitation on Grey. "Thanks." he says, apparently indeed knowing how to handle a weapon, sliding the clip out to check the amount of ammunition, slapping it back in, then sliding the action to chamber a round. "FYI Grey, I was never a threat to anyone else, believe it or not." says the guy who killed a bunch of Trikru. No, he hasn't forgotten that, but he's clearly in the process of getting past that. He's all business. "Infirmary is on this floor. Where they took Hanne, Cookie, and the others…" he kinda shrugs. "Places we couldn't go. That's why we got the message out."

Mimi holds up a hand when she gets out "You cannot kill everyone. Not everyone is involved in what is going on - there are innocent people. But those people are most likely locked away right now and will be nowhere near the lab." Finally out of the room - as the last one out she tries to close the door behind her, but it's damaged and doesn't close right. She frowns a little and takes her pencil, drawing on the outside of the door 'You Suck!' and puts a big frowny face. Then it's tucked away with the explosion "What was that?" She looks around at the guns being handed off holding up her hand "Does anyone have a bow and arrows I could have?"

Tink gets more gentle with her hug and looks down at her little lacy dress that makes her look like a baby doll rather than a tech, "At least your outfit stops bullets." She has the pistol in hand and then shows Kai her locket that she's still wearing, "And they took a lot of our shit but they didn't take this so when we get out of here…you're getting this back."

Oh, yes, there is kissing back. There is a full on makeout session, and Cameron is handsey. But it lasts only a little while before he breaks it and pulls away, but the look Cam gives Morgan is all: you're-getting-VERY-lucky-tonight. "Where's my gun?" He asks, reaching out for Morgan, "And yeah, there's some innocent people in here. No one from Medical, though. Or their Security forces. Those people can all die. But there's kids and innocent people in here— some helped us at cost of their own lives."

A glance is spared for Silas, Asher just stares at him when he calls Asher an asshole. Normally he'd have decked the guy already. That's probably gonna be saved for later. "We'll check for them on our way out. We can't go out of our way unless one of you has any reason to think they are actually still alive. Otherwise, we're all gonna fuckin' die down here." Off handedly, Asher holds out the rifle he was already using to Lark, apparently intending to use the Maunon made rifle himself. "I expect that back when we get out of here." A beat pause, "Let's move already."

Reno looked and just stared at Wren, vaguely recognizing him, but he was… well… he managed to get a nod from Reno who clutched the pillow cases. Max and Tink got the rest of his attention and he saw her ecstatically happy for the first time in days. Kai was okay. One down and three more to go. He gave Max an apologetic look and said, "They're coming. They're going to come. Madelyn, I can take them to Medical to get Adam and them back." He looked to Grey and Wren and looked to see if that was even registering.

"Yes yes, this is all very touching and whatnot." Wren grunts, looking all this reunion before moving back out of the room and into the hallway. Reminder, his people are still trapped here. "But we have task. I suggest to keep to it."

<FS3> Silas rolls Resolve: Good Success. (8 3 6 8 5 7)

Cass, for one, doesn't like the sound of killing everyone in this mountain. She may be a sociopath, according to Cameron, but she's had enough killing for one day — for one lifetime, really — and her face shows it whens she sends Morgan a glance like he might be a bit cuckoo for that suggestion. Still, she makes no interruption to his romantic reunion, following her own advice to keep quiet, even if no one else will. A nod is sent to Grey when he makes that order, and she steps forward to claim that keycard.

A glance is spared from Cassandra to a certain blonde. Quinn gets a little wave, her fellow delinquent's expression carefully blank, before she turns to lead the way to safety with Gideon 'Dee' kom Skaikru at the helm.

Max accepts the rifle that Silas passes him and leaves one of the bedframe bits hanging from his belt, nodding his thanks.

The sound of the boom causes her to look up, then look forward, "How about we argue on the move?" Quinn's a bit hopeful that things will move, since going back into the room is very low on her list of things to do. When Cass gives her a wave she tilts her chin upwards in greeting, a quick flash of a grin offered before she's falling into step with the exit train.

Morgan breaks the kiss at the sound of the explosion. "That must be the Trikru destroying the missiles or the acid fog. Or both." He just looks at Cam a moment before giving him another kiss, much shorter, but then they step apart and he unslings one of the rifles from his shoulder to give to Cam. "They better keep their heads down then. And you better point them out quickly if we run into them. No one is in the mood to take prisoners." Not even to cut small pieces off them one at a time. Well, maybe that.

Kai's armor? Not bulletproof. Though there is only a soft laugh from the former ex-C, declining to point out the holes in the bloody leather,"I'm glad to have you guys back, more." she offers quietly with a nod for Wren. No rest for the wicked, yet.

Silas is opening his mouth as though he's about to continue going on about saving folks before he feels the violent shaking from above- wincing as he feels the dust fall from the ceiling and onto his head as he looks up, clutching his pistol tightly- but managing to remember not to accidentally pull the trigger. Silas purses his lips for a moment or two as he's staring at the ceiling before he looks to Grey and Asher, "We are getting Hanne." he says, matter of factly and with that he's standing by and furrowing his brows. "Lets go already." he says with a deep, lopsided frown, before he's looking over to Madelyn. "How you been, partner?" he asks, his right brow riding up somewhat as he's better engaging in conversation with his business partner.

Gideon tightens her jaw slightly, but her words are cut short by the sudden explosion above. The woman looks up, green eyes glaring at the ceiling where the lights shudder in the aftershock. Then she looks over at Morgan, and her expression looke uncertain. She did not expect that level of explosion. She then glances to Grey, nods swiftly, and gives Cassandra's shoulder a squeeze. "Let's go, Cass." She then nods to the stairwell as directed, drawing out another arrow as she starts to move. "Cass, get the door, I'll take point." She starts to nock back the arrow, draw arm taut to match the tautness of the bowstring.

Grey starts at the explosion, looking upward, and then his lips skin back from his teeth in a fierce grin, "That's either the missiles or the fog. Shit-hot, Trikru." He nods to Wren, "We're goin' to get your people out too, Wren." And then he starts moving, "Silas, Q, Max, rearguard? Come hard if you hear shootin' up front." Slipping through the crowds, he works his way toward the front of the little group as it heads toward the stairs. "Yeah, Reno. We're already planning to go out through medical. We'll search for them there." They still have two floors to go up before they get back to medical.

Madelyn grips the pillowcases tightly and follows behind Max and Quinn. She squeezes her eyes shut at the explosion, trying to pretend not to hear it. When Silas sidles up to her she gives a weak smile and shrugs. "Oh, you know… used as a human blood filter, trapped underground by people fattening us up like livestock. The food was pretty good, though," she replies softly.

"Got it," Max says to Grey, giving him a bit of a relieved grin. While he seems to be focused on all business, it's clear that he's relieved to see everyone again, even the Trikru at this point. He moves toward the rear to cover their butts as they begin to move out.

Kai is totally ready to cede rearguard, sword sheathed so she can give Tink a proper hug with all the strength she can manage and then turns to limp with the rest, mostly not noticing the boom from above.

"I suggest we take the stairs— they were restricted from us for a reason, that reason being control, I think. I snuck all around this place scouting it out, though. I can point at which doors to take." Cameron lifts up his rifle, checking it over briefly as he was taught, then holding it at the ready, nose down just enough so he's not really pointing it at anyone. He's Cool Cameron again, because Morgan, really, is not dead. He knows because he can still feel his lips. He points doorward.

Once they decide to move Asher moves past Silas and off towards the front of the line. Gideon and Cass may be scouting the way, but he'll be there right after them, apparently to be a meat shield and ensure Morgan and Cameron get their sexy times later. Having ones privates shot off before getting ones rocks off is truly the epitome of poor form.

Without a word Quinn falls to the back of the line, moving into position to watch the rear as the rest sort themselves out to where they need to go. She settles the rifle into a relaxed, but ready hold, making certain to not tire her arms out too fast pointing it at nothing.

"Good, then let's do that." Wren says, then moving to the front of the group, pulling his mask back down over his face. Wherever they're going, that's where he's heading, not quite caring who's really leading the group, so long as he's near the front. Because he has the urge to hurt something right now.
Reno has partially disconnected.

Cassandra, being a selfish bitch, only really cares about one person they've rescued. There are a couple others she cares about, but those were already out, and her wary eye checks on them constantly. With a flick of her wrist, she scans the keycard and opens the way to the stairwell, leaving it for someone else to hold open before she's moving on down with her first. When Asher catches up to join the front lines, she turns to give him a shady glance.

"Guess you're getting that threesome after all," Cass tells Ash aside. She must have lost a bet or something, because she sounds quietly bitter.

Cole finds himself near the middle rear section of the group, making sure his pillow case-turned backpack is secured to his belt, tied around. The pistol is kept out, pointed at the ground and at the ready. "We gotta find Scarlett. Fuck. How are we even going to get her out of here without her dying?" he mutters, clearly he's worried about that particular friend of his. "Don't even know where the fuck she is."

Silas doesn't object, and lets himself lag back alongside Max and Quinn as he holds his pistol at his side and at the ready. Staring ahead, Silas moves with pursed lips. He does take the moment to look back to Madelyn, however, offering her a pat on the back with his open hand. "If we had time, I'd say we could raid the fridges and make off with it.. But doesn't seem like we do." he says before he shrugs, offering a small lopsided smirk. "I got a workshop you can bunk at- it's pretty roomy, considering the stuff I'm working on."

Mimi follows along with everyone else. "It looks like you found an outlet for your aggression. Thank you everyone for coming to rescue us." She falls quiet letting the combaty people do their thing. For she certainly doesn't know much. She has her bedding/items in one hand slung over a shoulder, her smacky-pipe in the other and her pink dress. This is about as equipped for war as she's going to get.

"Would if we could," Madelyn replies to Silas with a tinge of regret. "At least I'm leaving this place with some cute dresses and a ton of underwear and socks," she says, trying to distract herself from the probable imminent danger.

Morgan moves toward the front but makes sure Cam is with him. They're not getting separated again. Ever. "Stay behind me." he tells Cam. "You're not wearing armor." he adds, making it purely logical reasoning and not him being protective. "By the way, the Ark is down. And I mean that literally. Alpha is on the ground. Did they hurt you?" he continues without any pause between subjects.

The procession full of hugs and thanks and revenge-thoughts (and a few softer ones as well) makes its way down the hallway and into the stairwell thanks to the stolen keycard, and begin to ascend from Floor 5 to Floor 3 (Medical). Gideon and Cassandra are in the lead, with Asher, Wren, and Grey following next. Then most everyone else, and then Quinn, Silas, and Max on rearguard.

Holding up a hand towards those behind her in a universal 'stop' sign, Cass looks aside to Gideon to check she's making the right call, then looks over her shoulder to the others. She pinches thumb and forefinger, drawing them across her lips in a zipping motion. Quiet, everyone, it clearly says. That done, she twists her wrist to point her index finger upwards, curling her other four fingers back towards her hand. She mimes a 'talking' motion, then points to her ear and raises her bow at the top of the stair, narrowing her eyes.

Reno was filed into the middle of the pack with Tink. He was working on breathing without hyperventilating and giving thought to a few things. He looked to Cole and Tink and said quietly, "We need to find Scarlett and Georgia." At the ''stop'' he about bumped right into Cole but managed to come up short.

"I want to save Scarlett too, Cole, but they can't survive outside the mountain. If we try to take her with us, she'll die as soon as her suit runs out of air— even if we can find her a suit, and find her. If we take her with us, we kill her." Cameron sounds genuinely pained about that. He nods to Morgan, keeping behind him as he asks, murmuring in response, "I figured that out, yeah. That the Ark was down. I paid attention to the explosion on the night of the attack and it was more like a controlled burn then a zone-kill event like what happened when the Exodus ship came down. The President looked me in the eye and said his people scouted out the landing sites and there were no survivors. The floating bastard." He hesitates, and on the question of him being hurt? He says only: "They told me you were dead." His tone is grave. Did they hurt him? Yes. In the absolute worst possible way. "But they didn't hurt me." Physically.

"Drugs…they put me and Cameron on drugs so we're both going through withdrawals," Tink tells Morgan so he understands that Cameron and here might have some side effects going on, "I should be okay…Cam's just been having trouble sleeping since he went cold turkey." She has her gun out as she walks, her ballerina slippers moving silently over the stone floors. She's about to say more but then someone says stop.

Max keeps his eyes on the hall behind him, the rifle carried ready but not lifted, mostly following Quinn's lead. He's had enough practice to know which end to point and how to handle the weapon, but he's still not used to carrying one around. When the group stops, he holds as well, looking toward Quinn and Silas for a moment, and then over his shoulder at the stopped group in time to see Cassandra's miming. He stays silent, and looks back behind them.

Seeing Cassandra's motion for everyone to stop and be quiet, Asher stops and then looks over his shoulder to the others, still talking. He holds a fingers to his lips in the international and galactic 'Shut the fuck up' signal. And then he turns back to face forward, rifle raised and at the ready. Just needs someone to shoot.

When told to stop, Wren stops, looking just a tad bit impatient at whatever Gideon and Cassandra are doing at the moment. All he can do is wait, spinning his axe in his hand, causing the blade spin like a top. He doesn't say anything either. But the man behind the hockey mask feels the urge to hurry up. Don't like being here, wants to get his people and get out as soon as possible.

Before they get into the stairs, Gideon pauses, reaches into her belt, and draws out two nicely balanced throwing knives. She hands them to someone to hand to Reno. There's an unspoke I better get these back, and then she is moving back into place so that she can focus on the stairs.

She feels her shoulders relax, her mind focusing on the task. Her hand immediately flashes up in a STOP motion, and she flashes her teeth. She glances behind her, and she tugs at her ear to indicate that she's heard something, nodding with Cass's own assessment. She drops her stance, moving into a low and slow motion. The scout is getting lower and lower until she is almost in a squat. Her arrow has relaxed, but she hasn't put it back. She does slowly edge around the stairwell corner, head tilting up so she can spot her first target… she flashes a full hand of five fingers back at the others, and taps the air with each finger to indicate a number. Then she starts to nock her arrow, rising slightly, deciding to go for a sniper strike.

Quinn comes to a stop along with the rest, but her attention remains firmly focused behind the group. Whatever is happening up front is those in the leads problem….until it's not. Nope. Focused on the ass.

Silas falls silent as he looks over as he spots Cassandras motion and it's echoed by Asher and a few others with their own motions up and to the back. Silas carefully holds his pistol, his open hand coming to reinforce his grip and aim as he collects himself and readies up- though doesn't take much else motion aside from that. Much like Quinn, he's only caring about the rear.

Grey holds up his left fist at Cass's initial gesture, wincing as the gesture pulls at his wounded neck, then turns back toward the group and makes a horizontal cutting gesture to once more emphasize the point's signals. He looks forward again, catching Gideon's count, then holds up his rifle, pointing to it and then beckoning. Weapons up front. He points to Gideon, makes a finger gun, and then points to the rifle again, and then points up and around the corner. Hopefully that makes sense. Then he just nods to Gideon. On her call.

"So he lied. Like we expected anything different." Cole utters. "But yeah…I can't…I don't want to leave Scarlett to die, damnit. If the Ark is down, maybe we could get her back to it, I dunno, maybe they got a sealed room or something. They could figure out what the fuck we could do so she doesn't have to die in this hellhole. It's just…fuck." He has no idea what he can do on that end, and yeah, it visibly bothers him. But then when everyone goes quiet, so does he. He'll just stew in silence.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Stealth: Good Success. (1 5 1 8 7)

"Drugs?" Morgan asks, looking from Cam to TInk. "They were going to make you into Reapers?" Cam maybe but Tink? Looking back forward, he spots Cass' signals and falls silent, taking the safety off the rifle just in case.

Reno makes a SHHHHH noise to the conversations still going on. He whispered to Cole, "They have the evac suits. we can hide her. We can engineer that but she'll need a suit. I'll try to grab one from Medical while we're there." He bit his lip and took a deep breath watching. His eyes behind his framed floated around the hallway trying to find useful things to them. Not… a whole lot.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Resolve: Good Success. (6 6 8 7 7 4 2 1)

Cassandra knows her strengths and weaknesses well, stealth not generally being among the former; at least not compared to the abilities of a Grounder like Gideon kom Trikru. She holds back, following her mentor's lead in creeping up the stair and drawing her arrow taut in its bowstring. Seeing Gideon make her sniper strike, Cassandra follows in quick succession, firing first one shot, then drawing another. Well, that certainly gets the security guards' attention. Her first arrow goes wide before the alarmed Maunon snap to combat, drawing their rifles. Not wanting to get shot, Cass twists to the side, attempting liberal use of Asher as a meat-shield before she lifts her bow again to fire her second shot. This too misses, and before she knows it, a bullet goes straight through the side of her neck and she lets out a loud yell. Just a week ago she took a shock-baton to the back and stomach, and thought to herself that this was more pain than she had ever been in, but that was before she had ever been shot; this is worse. A spray of blood flies from her wound, and she lifts a hand to cover it, eyes wide with alarm as she slumps down to the side. Her bow trembles in her hands, but she cannot fire it while trying to prevent further loss of blood. She lays it to one side, instead drawing her shiny new short-sword from its oiled leather sheath, holding it across her torso defensively.

Gideon rests her back into the cement, and her eyes flick up to Cassandra. She offers a small nod, and then she does something so incredibly ritualistic that her motions are precise, but slow. She reaches up to whip the twin white cords behind her shoulders in a smooth looping motion, and she sets the earbuds into her ears. She reaches down into the pocket of the jacket, and touches the play button. Abruptly, a pretty solid guitar riff and drum line line starts filling her ears.

Her fingers tighten around the fletching, flicking her finger across it. Then she moves suddenly, moving fluidly into view and sending an arrow flying. It slams into the light above the Mountain Men, the arrow embedding into the light fixture right above them. Her second strike does manage to hit, but it only thunks off the personnel's helmet.

As the mass of gun-armed teens and sword-, axe- and club- armed people goes charging around the corner and up the flight of stairs from Level 4 to Level 3, they see five men and women in Security Detail uniforms and armor, all carrying assault rifles. They are just out of the door, and looking around in confusion as arrows sail through their midst. They react with commendable speed, however, dropping to one knee atop the landing and pouring fire down the stairs.

If the earlier firefight in the hallways was loud, this is ear-shattering. There are no flashbangs, to be sure, but there are a dozen assault rifles and several pistols all firing, many of them on fullauto.

Tink sees the security guards coming and joins Morgan in shooting at the first security guard they see. Her shot is solid to the chest but Morgan just opens up on the guy. She gives him a look of total respect, "Man…remind me to never corner you in a back alley." She then glances to make sure that Cole and Reno are fine and then finds her next target.

Morgan has Cam and the others, they're on the way out of this fucking mountain, and no one - not one single fucking mountain security guard - is gone to stop that. Once they move in, he just steps out into the middle of the landing, switches to fully automatic, and sprays a hail of bullets up at them. Damn, does this thing kick on full auto. Nailing one of them twice, the second right through the heart, the rifle travels and misses the other two. But all in all, his first use of the automatic capabilities of the rifle are counted a success. "Eat hot lead, asshole." He saw that in a video.

Officially has not missed being shot, stabbed, knocked around, or anything else. Seriously. Quinn shifts when the bullet hits her arm, but she doesn't drop the gun, just shifts it back up and takes aim once more, taking a slow breath in, then she lets it out in one even exhale.

It's difficult to tell just who is hitting who in the middle of the whirlwind of bullets, but a single Security woman drops up above, but nearly all of them are hit by at least one round, and they definitely don't give as well as they got… but they do give the pain back.

Madelyn ducks down when combat starts, trying to stay out of the way of the flying bullets. When Silas goes down, she drops to her knees and pulls out her scissors, quickly cutting strips from the pillowcases to try and bind his wounds. "Hang in there," she says softly. "I can't run that leather shop alone."

Wren was more than happy to run at the security guard, axe held held at his side and ready to go. He may of been to make at a break for a run. But then he sees Cassandra go down, noting the spurt of blood. He was right next to Asher after all. Without a word he moves forward, not to run at the guards, but to go to the downed apprentice. There's a look at her sword held defensively. He doesn't even ask for permission, he reaches with a big arm, picking her up and pulling her back to the rest of the group. Maybe they can do something for her. Because don't ask him to play healer. He's bad at it.

For his part, considering they're in a disadvantaged position, Cameron puts down some suppression fire, trying to distract the vampire goons. He's not very successful, but he really can't tell what's successful suppression and what's not. So. When he sees Morgan just obliterate one of them, he blinks, and grins, "That was hot." And then he moves to take aim more carefully this time.

Reno ducked. Holy. Shit. they were firing at them?! It was starting to be like outside all over again when the grounders were- wait the grounders were fighting with them against the people that built this wonderful safe place… that was now trying to kill him. He swore something about being Irony's bitch and pulled from pillowcase #2.. a hunk of the bed framp and broken bits of the television. Yup. That'll do. he found one of the guards nearest him after a glance. Yup Tink, Maddie, Cole, Max, aaaaaaand Cameron were okay and Quinn was angry. He was pretty certain that meant she was healthy. That settles he aimed and threw. He was no cadet, but he wasn't going to try nothing.

Max doesn't hesitate to take aim at the guard pointing a rifle at him and fires. There's not a second thought, there's not a moment of consideration beyond whether or not he thinks he can hit the guard, and then he squeezes the trigger. It's the first time he's actually pointed a gun at a person, however, and so when the shot doesn't quite make it's mark, he takes another deep breath and prepares to fire again.

A round wings Asher, but it just grazes his chest. Unfortunately for him, that happens just as he sees a bullet slam through Cassandra's neck. Calm, well reasoned, controlled…These are not words that describe Asher Kholmin at best of times. At this moment? Rage. Rage, rage, and more rage. Asher doesn't even bother with cover, he immediately moves out into the field of fire and just starts laying out full auto on the guards. A hail of gunfire is what he lets loose. The bullets find their marks well, with sprays of blood and wounded guards. Still they stand. Asher, for his part seems to have no real sense of control and as such, is just move towards them while he continues to shoot.

Cole wasn't lying when he said he knew how to use a gun. Practice from the few times in camp he was allowed to use one, before he was barred from doing so and then before on the Ark. No, a hydraulic nail gun isn't a pistol, but it's more or less the same idea. He squeezes the trigger, pegging one clearly in the chest. "That's for Scarlett, you sons of fuckin bitches."

Despite his position at the back of the pack, when he makes his way over to a position where he can fire down from the rear when the ambush goes pretty wrong pretty damn quickly, Silas is only able to fire off one shot before he's struck with a round in the chest that lodges into his chest, before earning another shot to his right leg- both spots he was earlier kicked in as he's falling back and tumbling to the ground- his handgun falling from his grasp and down besides him as he's down for the count for this fight. Silas lets out a sharp yell of pain as the writhes somewhat with the bullet wounds bleeding rather heavily. One hand comes over to grab onto his chest and apply pressure as he clenches his teeth and shuts his eyes tight, growling in pain, "F-fuck! I'm hit!" he calls out- but rather quickly he's being helped by Madelyn who's using the pillow case as bandages. He looks over, staring at her with a nod, "Thanks.." he says through pained grunts and groans as she begins wrapping him up.

Grey doesn't fire full-auto when he comes around the corner. He keeps to a tight burst, hitting concrete, torso, and concrete respectively with the three bullets. He's not racing up the middle of the stairwell either, but rather crossing once while everyone is lining up their shots and then advancing up the far side. A bullet comes whipping past him with the flat whp that he's come to know as a close miss, but it's hard to tell in the cacophony.

"I've been looking forward to killing them since I woke up to find you gone." Morgan tells Cam, matter of factly. He's dreamt about it.

This time she doesn't get hit! Hooray. If Quinn was more inclined to the celebration she might bounce up and down, but instead she just keeps up the effort. She shifts targets as the one that she was aiming at falls, eyes narrowing just a fraction.

That's bullet wound number three, and this one nicks across that thick muscle between Gideon's neck and shoulder, and she is feeling the deep ache as she pulls her next arrow back, refusing to let the pain get to her. She looses the arrow up at the angle, trying to avoid the mass of people charging forward. This means her arrow does a bare minimum nick across the exposed throat of one of the security personnel. She starts to move forward now, drawing another arrow — another motion that sends a scream of pain through her body. Another scream she ignores.

"Someone look after her! She is injured!" Wren says, once he gets back to main group with a half-dead Cassandra(pending she doesn't fight him on the issue). Either way, once that's finished, he makes off for a run at those guards, axe held tightly. Not much more he can do, but he won't be put out of this fight, and he won't be held back from his people. So he charges.

Tink gasps as the security guard shoots her in the head, righting the right side with a bullet. There's blood flowing down her face from the flesh wound but it looks worse than what it probably is because all head wounds bleed like crazy. She aims and fires back, shooting a bullet to his left arm before Cameron manages to down him, "You assholes ruined this fucking dress…" She takes aim again, trying her best to ignore the wound to her head.

When she's suddenly scooped up by a strange man, Cass sends a wide-eyed stare up at Wren kom Trikru, then cuts her gaze over to Asher with a silent plea. He knows how she feels about this sort of thing. She looks distinctly uncomfortable being carried by the Grounder, even if he's only trying to help, and tries to squirm away. She has enough sense to keep her hand pressed to her neck to stop herself from bleeding out, then slumps back down on the ground when at last she's set back down. She squints back up the stair, trying to assess what she can of the battle up ahead.

The constant rapport of Asher's assault rifle sends bullets flying all over the stairs at the guards. Asher continues walking at a diligent pace towards the guards. He just needs to shoot long enough to get into range of his axe. Then he'll finish his work. He calls back over his shoulder, "Keep Cass back!" and then "And alive, or so help me…" he trails off and with a continued murderous look, he looses another third of his clip off at the guards. Finally he flicks the gun to burst fire and keys in on the last of the two guards he was focusing on mowing down.

With admirable discipline, the Security Detail switch off which of them is firing full-auto and which is taking aimed shots, keeping them all from burning through ammo quite as fast and still putting out masses of fire. Another one falls, and the fire slackens. The front-most man rises from his knee and starts to back away, although he keeps up his fire.

"Morgan kom Skaikru! We need you with Cassandra," Gideon shouts back to Morgan as she continues to advance, nodding slightly toward Wren at his words, and then focusing on her next target.

Max continues to take aimed shots, one after the other, switching targets as he goes, trying to do some damage. He's aware of the commotion going on around him, but for the moment he is focused entirely on firing and making sure that they get past the guards.

Morgan checks the indicator on the clip and sees he's running low so switches to burst instead. Taking aim on one of the guards, he doesn't notice a different one taking aim on him. He jerks back as a round takes him in the chest, deflecting off his armor but the second is deflected off his skull. Reflexively, his finger tightens on the trigger and he still manages to shoot the one he was aiming at. "Holy fucking damn!" he cries out, reaching up to clap a hand over his head wound. So that's what being shot feels like. NOT FUN. Letting the rifle swing free, he backs up, reaching for his medkit. "Be right there." Soon as he manages to keep his own blood from flowing into his eyes.

Madelyn tries to get Silas' arm around her shoulders to help him get somewhat up and out of the way — not too easy, as he's got more than a foot on her in height and is nearly double her weight. "Come on, big guy," she cajoles him. "Like that, you got it."

Another bullet finds it's mark at the Guard he's shooting. "Tink!" he looks over at his friend, which only makes his jaws set. "You mother-fuckin cock-suckin back-bitin peice of fuckin assclown-humpin guttertrash!" Oh no, nobody hurts his Pixie. Not a good fuckin day. He will put that guy down. Well, that guy might be down. So He'll just take his frustration out on someone else.

Cameron takes careful aim, and although he was told: conserve bullets, he doesn't conserve them. These people lied to him, so he lets a burst of bullets out— and amazingly, every single one hits the mother floater. Two to the neck and one to the chest. He practically decapitated the guy with bullets. Couldn't have happened to nicer people. And then… and then… Morgan is hit. "NO!!! YOU FLOATING BASTARDS!!!" And despite the rage, he keeps control and takes aim, his expression now murderous. He might be forgetting he wants to save some of them.

There's not much leading Grey can do at this point, except by example. Too much noise for orders, too much rage for control. He glances back for a moment, ducks as a bullet cracks into the cement alongside his head, and then pours all three bullets of a burst into one of the Security detail. Sadly, one is half-absorbed by the helmet, and the others merely clip their target. The call for healers causes him to grimace, but at least Gideon is still shouting. That means she's still fighting, and Grey continues his quick advance, slinging his assault rifle and whipping out his shock baton with a snick of extending steel and a crackle of energy.

Silas grunts as he lets Madelyn help pull his arm over and around her shoulders. His left hand comes over to retrieve his pistol he dropped to hold it loosely with his left hand as he grunts, beginning to try and push himself up and to his feet with the assistance of Madelyn- despite how much smaller she is in comparison to himself.

Reno tried to throw a hunk of the bed. It hit the security light and bounced off. Well… that was wholly unimpressive. He was contemplating trajectory and the adjustments he'd have to make when Tink got shot in the head next to them. The engineer's eyes went wide as the red dripped onto her white lace dress. But she was yelling and pissed. He didn't even aim so much as starting to chuck bits of bedframe at them. "You don't get to scramble her brain you wasted bag of proto-plasm!" He didn't even look to where it landed but had to ask, "Tabitha, you're bleeding. Eden, are you okay?"

Audible even over the chaos of the firefight in the stairwell, there is another tremendous explosion, and again the Mountain shakes.

"Fuck!" Quinn would, possibly, be screaming if she didn't just get hit in the chest, because…seriously. FUCK. Instead it's more of a wheezing example of exploding pain. With the security falling left and right she tries to take aim at the next one, her grip a little less tight this time.

Tink gets distracted when she hears Reno call out if she's okay. Her shot goes wide and she bites her bottom lip, trying to wipe the blood from her head wound with her sleeve so it doesn't mess with her aiming, "Fuck…yeah, Reno I'm okay…this just fucking bleeds when it's a head wound." She gives a little shout out to Cole, "Fucking amazing shot!" She flashes him a smile and looks back at Reno, "Shit…" Yep feeling a little off from the head wound and then takes a moment to let folks treat it.

Morgan fumbles a bit as he pulls bandages out of his medkit. It's difficult to do with one hand while trying not to get blood all over everything. He does manage to bandage his head to stop the bleeding and then moves over to Cass. "You and Asher. Gotta stop leading with your head and necks."

<FS3> Cameron rolls Resolve: Success. (4 3 4 5 7 1)

Max isn't having much luck with the shots fired but the guards are going down. He looks to Quinn and says "Finish them .. then I've got you." She's better at the shooting part. He turns to Tink then to quickly bandage up her head wound so it won't affect her sight. "Hold still just a sec," he tells her.

This time, Cameron's not so lucky. Not only does he miss, but a bullet takes him in the side. Fortunately, its just a flesh wound, but he does grunt and manage not to cry out. What happens then, though, is he gets angry. Well, more angry. He is going to murder himself a vampire, so ignoring his bleeding wound, he aims…

With Madelyn's help, Silas manages to find his way onto his feet with a slight sway and a limp- he takes a moment there with her assistance in keeping him up before he's on his own two feet before he's bringing his aim around to take careful aim as to not hit any friendlies after swapping the gun out into his right hand before he's firing a round from his pistol off at the last security officer.

Wren just runs. There isn't much he can do much right now, but rage up those steps at the last standing security guard. Something tells him that the man will likely be dead by the time he arrives, but oh well. There will always be more of them left to take care of.

Grey really is better with a shock baton than an assault rifle. The arrow comes winging just over his left shoulder, burying itself in the guard's neck, and he shifts his aim upward, catching the poor bastard full in the face and sending arcs of electricity over his entire head. Even as the Maunon is convulsing, a bullet catches him in the chest. There's no getting up from that. Grey calls out, "You hit me, Asher, or Kai, I baton you!" Because there'd been an awful lot of bullets streaming up the stairwell as he was closing in, and he's already just a step away from the next poor bastard.

Reno furrowed his brow and fell into science mode. It was the only part of his brain that was ready to handle threatening variables and family needed him now. A hand went to her pulling her to a crouch and he dug through the bag, "Don't… don't ruin the dress more, Tab. Here." Seeing Max come over he started handing things to his brother to help. "Max, I think… I think Quinn got hit too."

It must be Guerrilla Radio that clicks Gideon in. Lights out, Guerrilla Radio. Turn that shit up. The Grounder is still advancing up the stairs, but then she turns her body sideways as she finds a window in the mess that is melee to spot her target. She ignores the pain — the burning through her body from the cut through her side to the burn in her leg to the searing in her shoulder. She focuses, and looses, and the arrow is literally sticking out of the guy's neck soon after Grey's hit and shortly before Cole's blasting bullet wound. "Aw, hell… can't stop us now," she sings under her breath.

Three more rounds erupt from Asher's rifle as he starts to pick up the pace. Bullets continue to whiz past him. One of those rounds rip through the guards neck and in addition to Quinn shooting him in the gut, the guard goes down. Asher drops his rifle on the ground and whips out his axe. At that moment a bullet slams into his right flank from the last remaining guard. Asher staggers and falters. He eyes the man for a moment, pointing his axe at him, "Guess you're next…" Apparently Asher isn't offering the enemy quarter or safe surrender anymore. He charges at the Guard, axe raised.

Cassandra's fingers are drenched in blood by the time Morgan gets there with his med-kit, but at least she's doing something to stop the bleeding. Her eyes trail to the Med-Tech's head, and she murmurs, "…Hypocrite." Her breath comes slow and patient, and unlike with Wren, she seems to trust her fellow delinquent a bit more, likely because she's known him longer. She lets him do his work. "Found your boy-toy, though… now you can't lobotomise me." She cracks him an ear-splitting, woozy grin.

"All for you, Pix." Cole wink at Tink before switching targets to the last man standing. He's been counting rounds soon. Either he's going to need another clip or start using the pistol as a melee weapon. Which well, isn't all that uncommon. Pistol-whipping is still a thing.

Two more Security Detail personnel go down, and then there is just one man left, and he's being surrounded by angry teens. He starts to back up, desperately trying to fend off his attackers with the butt of his assault rifle long enough to get back to the door… which has closed and locked behind him. Fat chance he can use his keycard while under attack. Poor bastard.

Gripping the pillowcases tightly in her left hand, Madelyn moves quickly, trying to bash at the kneecaps of one of the security guards.

Well, Cameron was aiming for the guy's eyes, but with all the people around it took a little bit of effort to shoot past people: after all Grey has an okay ass and shooting him in he ass would probably be bad. Gideon might take issue with it. So, he ends up getting the guy solidly in the abdomen. Cam finds that satisfactory, except he doesn't DIE yet. Narrowing his furious eyes he takes aim again…

Madelyn apparently can't even hit a dude in the knees… and kind of feels sorry for him. She scurries away, clutching the pillowcases tightly.

Once Tink's head is taken care of, Max gives her shoulder a squeeze so that she might get back into the fighting. He then turns to Quinn and says, "Fall back a sec as close to her ear as he can so that she can hear him." He then works as quickly as he can to tend to her wounds. He nods to Reno and seems to indicate that he's got Quinn covered. He looks over to check on Silas, and seeing that he's up, he turns his attention back to getting Quinn back into the action as quick as he can.

Finally, after what seemed to take forever, Wren climbs that stairs to the next landing. And yeah, he more or less leaps forward at that guard, the axe in the air, trying let the momentum form his jump carry his swing forward. Maybe he'll take his head off in passing. Like some kind of badass action hero. Not likely, it would mean he'd have to hold a pose and the guard would explode a moment later. Not really all that likely, but there's a hope. The axe is coming down no matter what.

Silas grunts as he recoils back something with his bad leg after shooting at the guard- watching as the guards plate carrier absorbs the handgun round entirely with furrowed brows and a wide sneer. Even as the man is filled with lead, he's still standing- which only causes Silas to growl even more. "Come the fuck on!" he shouts at him, "You stubborn asshole, just fall down already!" he says before he's twisting his gun to the side a bit and firing again. He saw it in a movie once, so it has to work, right?

Center mass is totally a great place to aim, Quinn seems to be in favor of these things right now. She takes another shot at the last security person, but then she lowers the weapon as the wound in her chest causes her a little more problems. Of the mind numbing pain and slick blood in the way sort of thing. Thankfully, there's a Max.

What happens to this guard is pretty fucked up. Asher doesn't care, but it is fucked up. His left arm dangles at his side from the gunshot wound he took to it. His left arm was already messed up before this. Still, he only really needs his right arm to make this work, even if his every muscle aches. The guard is shot and stabbed and shot some more. Asher's axe connects with the guards neck, in what should have been a killing blow, yet still he stands. He stands through several killing blows. Asher aspires to this level of badassery. "Damn…" he mutters.

Grey takes a rifle-butt to the side, but it strikes on one of his armor's plates, and although he grunts, he keeps coming. Ducking out of the way of Asher's axe, he comes in low and to Asher's right side, letting Kai take the left. He loops the shock baton under and up, taking the Maunon neatly in the hollow of the throat and sending another wash of electrical current through him. Under normal circumstances, that would suuuuuuuuuuck, but it's not so bad compared to the axe to the neck, and bullets to the stomach and chest.

Cole pegs another good hit on the guard, but somehow, after all the abuse he's suddenly taken, he still standing. No reason not to get more target practice in, so the mechanic squeezes off another round. Yeah, definitely need to go clip hunting after this. But he likes this pistol. He might ask to keep it.

Kai's got no qualms about piling on the poor bastard left standing, she was going for his leg, but in the milieu of people trying to pound him into the floor. She finds only his arm, and that in an unsatisfyingly light fashion. She snarls in aggravation, looking for an opening to jab her blade into the soon to be swiss-cheese Maunon.

Tink sees everyone swarm around the lone security guy and takes a moment to get a breather. She leans against the wall and nods to Max that she's okay as the others take are of business. She looks at Reno and tells him, "We should grab what ammo and keycards they have…whatever we can salvage. I've only got a few shots left and if we hit another group, I may not have enough."

"Unlike some, I don't make a habit of it." Morgan retorts then smiles as he looks over at Cam. "This is close enough. No need to twist the knife too." Considering it's just a field dressing, it manages to stop the bleeding but like his own wounds, they'll need to be taken care of once they get out of here.

Reno dug up the- oh hey a couple actual knives as a Gideon gift? Trikru bearing gifts… to note for later. Reno looked to the war pixie and said, "Just take a moment there. The idea was to stay alive, not help them kill us." He offered her a shadow of a warm smile. He chucked the knife at the remaining guard. He was… he was terrible at this and nodded to Tink. "I was thinking that to get us quicker access into the medical restriction areas. Between you, Cole and I we shouldn't have much an issue with the doors if we can get a couple cards. Unless Montgomery changed his password again."

Gideon is almost at the landing now, as she has been advancing each shot. She steps to where the ground levels. She pulls another arrow from her quiver, and her gaze narrows as she spots the Maunon.

Battered, blasted, chopped, and shocked, the Mountain Man throws down his rifle on its sling and painfully raises his hands, "I surrender! Don't kill me!"

The archer narrows her eyes at the words from the Mountain Man. She immediately draws back her arrow, her jaw set, and her eyes burning with cold rage. "No," Gideon says flatly. "Jus drein jus daun."

"Asher go crazy?" Cass quietly asks Morgan, trying to turn her gaze past the Med-Tech, towards the top of the stair. Unfortunately, there are too many people around to suss out the situation with her friend the axe-murderer. When it's clear no more can be done for her neck, she gives him a pointed glance, then looks onwards. "Go make sure he's not dead. And make sure you give Cam a big smooch from me."

"SHA!" agree's Kai emphatically with Gideon, no quarter in her, either. Trying to murder her friends definitely doesn't leave any room for mercy in her.

Once the Mountain Man is down, Cameron calls out, "Wait! Don't kill him. Ask him if Hanne and Cookie are alive. And Ruth and Rawlins and Adam." He stalks up the stairs towards the group, his gun aimed, but not firing. He's not really even aware that he's bleeding at the moment, not really.

<FS3> Silas rolls Resolve: Good Success. (5 1 7 4 8 8)

"Don't kill him!" Madelyn calls out. "He… he was just doing his job…"

Silas actually manages to stop himself from just wildly shooting- mostly due to Camerons words as he jerks his aim upwards and barely stops himself from pulling the trigger, Silas pauses with a heavy breaths before his eyes look back down to stare with furrowed brows as he pushes the safety on his pistol to the on position for the time being.

Reno watched Tinkmore concerned with her eyes staying in focus than much else right now. Still though he gave her a nod and said, "I'll look for keycards." And off he went to look for the key cards in the usual placed he'd watched folks stash them. Hey scouting out that security door in the infirmary had its advantages. "His job was killing us, Madelyn. He's not civilian. He ain't like Scarlett."

It's probably too bad that Asher his hearing is still partially impaired from the flashbang, or that's at least what he'll tell people. the fact is, one of these fucks shot Cassandra in the throat, and as far as Asher knows, she's dead now. There is no quarter anymore. He isn't aiming to wound now. So when the guard gives up, Asher hefts his axe and swings it down at the Guard's skull. This coincides nicely with Kai's sword going for the Guard's throat. Apparently not killing this guard isn't in the cards.

"I'll go see. Don't turn your head much or the bandages will loosen." Morgan tells Cass, climbing to his feet. Neck wound are a bitch. Then he gives her a strange look and walks over to see what's going on.

Maybe if Cameron's words were a few seconds earlier. Kai at least, doesn't hear him, she's too driven at that moment with blind fury. It couldn't have been perfectly coordinated if they'd planned it. The ex-Skaikru Second's machete finds the soft spot just under the jaw as Asher's axe connects with his skull, the broad blade sawed across his windpipe before the blade is pulled free and she finally stops to breathe, shaking hard from pain, adrenaline and bloodloss. Sorry ninja bro.

Grey is pretty certain that Kai and Asher aren't going to let up, no matter what he or the others want, so he just steps back a little, and when the man falls dead at his feet, he spits on the corpse, retracts and tucks away his shock baton, and readies his assault rifle as he turns to the door to Level 3, "Let's go, people. Weapons only with the lootin'." Which is to say, make it snappy. "We still got Trikru to rescue, no matter how hard or fast the Juice Train is runnin'."

Cole is still pulling the trigger no matter what. "Fuck that. Spare a nurse, they might know. Not some random Joe Blow guard." he utters.

Wren is still going to bury that axe in the guard's chest. Blood must have blood. So he's gonna have plenty of weapons sticking out of him, surrendering or not.

Tink pats down a guard, grabbing his keycard and then also grabbing his assault rifle while the others debate about the guard. She looks at Reno to see if he got anything off the other guy. She frowns when she notices that the group isn't accepting surrender from the guard but she doesn't argue. This is war and they don't really have a choice. It's not like they can leave him here to bring more guards.

"Let's just keep moving…the longer we stand around the more likely more will show up." Quinn suggests, letting Max do his thing before she wipes her hands off, readjusting her hold on the rifle. "I'm ready to get the fuck off this floor, please."

When Asher finishes him, Gideon exhales. Her gaze cuts to Madelyn. "He would not have shown you mercy if you had asked for it," the Grounder says, voice cold. "You do not show someone mercy when they would see you dead." Though that does continue a vicious cycle, but you try telling a Trikru that — though Gideon has vowed herself to the Skaikru now. She glances to Cassandra. "Cass, you ready?"

Madelyn turns to Gideon, tears in her eyes. "It's not about who they are, it's about who we are," she retorts, too timid to say it loudly, but loud enough for her to hear.

"For Eden's sake, its not about mercy, its about gathering intelligence. Being smart, not bloodthirsty." Cameron says with a grunt, shaking his head, his hand on his side as he marches up the steps with a bit of w glower on his features. "The guards are the ones who took our people, they know where our people were taken. We don't need to massacre someone surrendering when they can tell us something to make it more likely we can get our people back."

Silas lets out a slow breath, his open hand coming over to rub above his brow before his hand comes over to hold his check wound through its bandage. He isn't about to take the time to worry about the morality of it all- and he's hurting too much to think too hard about anything right now anyways. So instead he's beginning to continue limping along a bit, holding his pistol down at his side with a slow breath. "Let's just go."

Cass, unfortunately, isn't going anywhere. When she tries to stand, that ends up moving her neck, which Morgan specifically told her not to do just now. She's lost a lot of blood, and she's visibly dizzy, managing to get herself upright against the walls but stopping to lean against it. She doesn't make the same mistake a second time, so without turning her head back to Gideon, she just says, "You head up. I'll catch up." No she won't.

Reno picked through the guard's pockets like an expert thief. In reality he knew exactly where to look so making it look snazzier than it was? Not so hard. He grabbed one and then… another. He called out, "Cole" And flashed a red card over to him, grabbed his two pillowcases of contraband and looks to Tink and said, "Tabs, I think theirs are empty too… well that was just poor planning on their part." He thought about it and looked to the guard and then Madelyn and then Morgan, "Hey, Madelyn's not wrong." He looked back to Cassandra and said, "Cass, you're not gonna be okay without the group. You're pretty banged up. You don't… want to know what they're doing to people like us up in here. You don't want that. Gotta keep going."

Gideon looks at Madelyn, and then at Cameron. She says nothing as she turns, moving to take point once more. Her steps slow just enough to consider Cassandra, lips thin. She nods slightly. "Be wise, don't risk yourself. You did well." She nods to Reno. "Do not let her be left behind. Keep her to the back, but do not let her lag." Gideon might be taking a page out of Grey's book: don't leave anyone behind.

The axe is withdrawn from the guards skull with a sickening, wet and meaty *THUNK*. Gross. Asher's covered in blood. Again. The militia murderer turns and moves down a few steps, picking up his assault rifle, and then he pulls out his last full clip and slams it into the rifle. He doesn't respond to Cameron. It's not that he can't be rational, this just wasn't the moment for it. "Who has Cassandra?" The look on Asher's face implies (with little extrapolation needed) that he will be staying in the back with her unless someone else is. "And that someone better be a good fuckin shot." Just to be more explicit.

"Good find." Cole says, moving to the bodies, searching through them. He knows what he wants. He unclips one of the guard's ammo belts, with this clasp closed sections of hardened pouches. This is what he wants. He check them for pistol clips, which he finds. "Good." he utters, strapping around his waist, making it is own. At least two clips. Should be enough to get him out of this place. And he likes this pistol. He needs to name it for something. "Alright. Let's fuckin move."

"What?" it takes Kai a moment to ask belatedly, mostly of Cameron, she glances towards Asher, but from the painfully stiff shrug she's got no regrets about the dead guard, instead turning to check on Wren and then look towards Tink. Touching the hole in her armor comes away with fresh blood and it's definitely getting less pleasant for her.. but still she reaches for her First's arm to give it a certain squeeze. She'll hang in there, she knows he will too.

"Go to your niron." Wren grunts at Asher. "We'll be fine up here. But she needs you now. Go." That's all that the big man really needs to say. As for himself, he's staying at the head of the group, moving to the door, and then waiting next to it and whoever plans on opening the thing. Then Kai is reaching for him. The mask is lifted up to reveal his face. There's a nod, and a ruffling of her non-existent hair, visibly proud of her.

Grey looks around the group as they gather on the landing, and then shakes his head, "No time for arguing. Time for movin'. And yeah, we don't leave anyone behind if we can help it." Grey gestures for someone to get the door who has a keycard, and then he'll be the first one through this time.

Level 3 is… not much changed since the earlier firefight there, although there are several doors open that weren't open before. Ahead, the door for the infirmary lies open as well.

Max pauses long enough to check on those around him, to make sure that those around him are bandaged up and that Quinn and Silas are back with him to cover the rear. He checks on Reno and Madelyn briefly and then they're moving again, and he's falling into line, taking up the rifle once more.

Reno gave Max a return nod with a worried look. He clipped the acess card to his slacks and looked to Tink, "Tabitha, cover me, I'm gonna grab Cass. She don't look so hot." He ran over to Cassandra saying defensively, "That wasn't a judgement!"

Cassandra is reminded of just who Asher is when she looks up, sees his axe pulling out of some guard's skull, and blood all over the walls. And there she has her answer to the question she asked Morgan. The modern art he's painted with brain matter this time seems to fit better in Mount Weather than it did in Mecha Station, based on what she's heard. These freakish vampires sure love their culture. Realising that staying behind really isn't an option, she turns back towards the stair, intent to soldier on despite the glazed look in her eye. This does not go well, and she doesn't even manage to surmount a single step before she's falling to her knee.

Madelyn offers her shoulders to Silas for support. "How are you holding up?" she asks him softly, giving Max a thumbs-up when he swings by to check in on her.

Reno looked like he should have notes and post-its floating off of him in his wake running at a tear towards the peaked Cass. She was falling to her knee, but he grabbed her arm at least to keep her from falling down every stair. Wait… no… she was taking the lanky engineer with her form the momentum and lack of footing he had. "Maaaaaaaaaax!"

<FS3> Tink rolls Brawn+brawn: Good Success. (8 8 4 1)

Cameron looks around, sees Cassandra needs help, and sighs. "This is going to physically hurt." And so he goes over to her, and looks to Asher, and nods, and crouches down to loop one of her arms over his shoulder, wincing as he does so. It does physically hurt. Because he has a wound in his side, not because helping Cassandra is physically painful.

Honest.

Asher eyes Reno up and down and then shakes his head, "Nope." Not Reno. So Asher moves over to one side of Cassandra. It's his left side, even though that arm is mostly useless. He needs his right arm to hold his rifle and point it so he can shoot things still. Cameron's help gets a nod, "Thanks, Cam." And now they are ready to move. See, no big deal!

Getting his ammo belt around his waist, Cole goes to see pretty much everyone unable to lift Cass up. Or at least help. Shoving his pistol in the back of his pocket he goes doesn to Cass. "I'll help her." he states evenly. "Move move, outta the goddamn way." he mutters, getting in there to help Cass to her feet. "Cam, you're hurt, I'll take care of it."

Tink then leans down and helps Reno to his feet. She's a strong little pixie and doesn't have a problem doing that. She looks to the others and waves her security keycard, "Let's go into the infirmary." She looks to see if anyone else has a card.

Quinn's just as quiet as she has been, ready to head up the rear with whoever happens to be left in the rear.

Reno accepted the help from Tink. He wasn't proud, he just didn't want Cass to smack her head into concrete. That'd be no bueno. He was happy to defer to teh more athletic Cam to help her on this one and gave Tink a small smile of thanks. In truth he was a bit on auto pilot; leaving wasn't yet a reality, only the next goal was. "This way guys." The infirmary they could get folks to. "Quinn?" He looked to her, then Max, then to her and said, "Please be ok." That was all, but it was something.

<FS3> Kai rolls Alertness: Success. (7 4 5 6 5 6 1 6 5)

"Fuck off," says Cass.

Were they back at Camp Jaha, just about anyone could tell the kind folk trying to help the ungracious Cassandra what sort of patient she is. Most especially, Rhys MacDonnel, the Med-Tech who first saw to her after the battle at the Dropship, could offer them all a firm 'nope' and advise them not to bother. She is completely uncooperative towards the various people trying to help her up, including both Cameron, Reno and Cole. Asher's about the only person she doesn't glare at. Apparently she'd rather stay down, and while she won't fight them if they insist, she doesn't thank them, either.

Well fine. Cole will carry Cassandra. Asher can't really argue with that. Cole isn't hurt. He and Cameron are both hurt. So Asher nods once to Cole and moves back towards the front where he can get shot some more. He looks over his shoulder at Cass, "Let him help you Cass. We need to move out. So either I'm going to sit there with you and we'll both get killed when the next wave of guards show up, or you let Cole help you."

"If you stay, they'll hang you upside down and bleed you dry, Cass. That's what they do to Trikru. I saw it with my own eyes." Cameron offers with encouragement, nodding to Cass, "So Cole has you." And that's that, so he moves over towards Morgan. Just to be near, because gravity, looking at him with clear worry, "You'll be okay." he says, the tone more an order then anything else.

"Really not in the mood right now, Cass." Cole mutters, apparently seeming to not care about her protestations and picking her up anyways despite the fact that she's not going to make it easy. "Thanks." is uttered to Asher about the vote of confidence. But yeah, whether she bitches or not, she's getting picked up and carried the rest of the way. She doesn't have to like it, she just has to take it.

Grant is in the process of encrypting the medical files of the latest harvesting. He wants to make sure that Cage gets the latest results from Dr. Montgomery's work. He does frown at the interruptions. The sounds of guards running through the hallways. The explosions up overhead. Normally, he would do this work elsewhere but he's expecting a few guards in the infirmary to get patched up from the fighting that's been going around. He was asked to drop what he was doing to go to the infirmary. This can't wait, especially if they're potentially dealing with a break-in to steal their donors away. He hasn't been in the infirmary long. Just long enough to get the first file entered in the computer.

With a hand still on her now bandaged neck, Cassandra lets Asher talk sense into her without a further word, and doesn't put up a fight against Cole when he carries her. She even closes her eyes, deciding his arms are a good place to take a little nap.

Kai can't help but twist her head under the ruffling of her non-hair, though her grimace is probably lost under the cloth covering the lower half of her face. Mostly because of the stitches still holding part of her head together from her previous run at the mountain. For all there's a silent nudge of Wren in acknowledgment before her attention goes over the Delinquents. There's no rest for the wicked, and it seems that the grey-eyed girl is quite fine with joining Wren in the front lines with a breathy sigh. It's never good when stuff doesn't look the same as you left it, which is why she elects to go towards the left wall, watching the doors as she creeps up for a look rather than just head straight for infirmary. Color her paranoid. And not real eager to just wander into another ambush.

Max remains at the rear, keeping their asses covered as best he can as they make their way toward the infirmary. He smiles a little at Madelyn when she gives him the thumbs up that she is okay, and then Reno is shouting and he glances over just in time just in time to see that others have the situation in hand. Once he's sure folks aren't going to tumble back down the stairs onto them, he just continues along with the rest.

<FS3> Grant rolls Alertness: Good Success. (2 5 1 5 4 7 6 6 8 4)

"Of course I'll be okay." Morgan agrees and pats his rifle. Still, he's staying back a bit knowing that the head would is going to slow him down and make him less effective.

Infirmary. Gideon is back with the front group. Her bow is drawn full, arrow held neatly in her fingers. She is suspicious of the open door, so she slowly started to edge toward it. She is about to cross the threshold, but stops just short of Wren and Grey. She nods to the two, and she begins to step inside. Her gaze falls on Grant, and she is drawing back the arrow sharply. "Do not move," she hisses in warning.

Quinn keeps to the rear as well, following after everyone else as they start to move. However, she keeps a steady eye out towards the path behind them, trusting to those up front to call warning if needed.

Asher is not the first into the infirmary, but he does come in shortly after Wren, Grey, Gideon and Kai. He's got his rifle at the ready, and like Gideon, he trains his rifle on Grant when he arrives in sight of him. "What she said." he grunts. Yeah. Take that! Cool Line #2 should be inserted after a two second pause.

Having their little moment, he nods once more to Kai, slides his mask over his face and move forward through the door and wherever they're headed Infirmary, most likely. Wren is the next one inside, after Gideon. A very large axe is held in his hands, ready to swing. Like the former Trikru, he holds just for a moment. "If you wish to keep breathing." he adds to Gid's first statement.

Grant looks up from his computer as the Outsider walks in and draws a bow on him. He locks the computer and then raises his arms and then puts them behind his head. He is calm, almost charming as he gives a half smile, "Can I help you?"

Grey follows close behind the new scouts, swapping out his assault rifle magazine once more. He's a few steps behind Gideon coming into the room, but he sweeps past those aiming weapons at Grant, "Hanne. Cookie. Ruth. Rawlins. Itawa. Where are they?" His own weapon is casually held in that direction, but he seems more intent on moving down the long room to the door at the other end.

"Don't kill him!" Madelyn cries out. "His name is Grant and he plays the violin and… and…" She sputters, gripping her pillowcases tightly. "Just… I don't… Where's Ruth and Adam and…" the other guy. "I know you don't want to hurt anyone. I… I know you're a good person…" She presses her mouth shut, wanting to believe this with all her heart.

"Where are the Skaikru?" The question is posed coldly in the wake of Grey's name list, her arrow still centered right at the man's chest. "The ones you gathered for… harvest." The word is said coldly as Gideon stares down the arrow shaft at the man. "You have until the count of three…" She tilts her head, drawing back the arrow tighter. "One…" And then Madelyn is protesting, and her jaw sets. Her grip does not lessen.

"Someone get her the fuck out of here." Asher growls after Madelyn's rant. "He absofuckinlutely wants to hurt us. And if he doesn't give us information, I will start hurting him." Fuck death, torture. A glance to Gideon, "Don't kill him outright. Start with the knees. We need information."

Reno strolled in behind Madelyn and eyed Grant. He smiled back. "Madelyn, he's the biggest enabler that ever enabled… and he's wearing my coat." There were times Reno was just ruthless in spirit. This progenitor of sloppy science was one of those times. He was breathing. He said "Operation Harvest phase 2? Where they at?" He looked around and looked to Tink and Cole seeing if they could skirt to the console if Grant was at gunpoint. What he didn't do was walk in front of the gunline.

Kai eases into the room, but she's got no interest in questioning Grant personally, instead skirting him with the intention of scouting out the door at the opposite side of the room and leaving the questioning in the hands of others.

"Madelyn…" Quinn glances briefly towards the girl, shaking her head at her, "Don't protect them…he didn't do shit to save any of us." She glances briefly towards Grant, then turns her attention back to watching the hallway, her jaw set.

"He knows where my people are being kept." Wren glowers. "He will tell us where they are being caged. Or I will let him," he nods at Asher, "start at the feet. And I will start with the hands. You will share the information we seek to find my people. The people you stole from us. Maybe then, you will live." Then a snort. "Answer quickly, my patience is short."

"Ms. Baker, Ms. Keats, Ms. Mercer, Mr. Rawlins, and Mr. Itawa did not survive phase II of the harvesting," Grant tells Grey bluntly as he sits there and observes the team that comes through the door. He makes a point of addressing the Arkers, not the ones dressed as Outsiders, "Ms. Petrie, thank you for your concern. I'm sure we can all be reasonable here. Since your friends are not here, may I suggest you move along. I am expecting some guards soon and your group looks a little worse for wear." Still looking at Grey, "I do not have the means to release the Outsiders. May I suggest you drop by Security…they can open the cages."

"I have a couple questions to ask him after you get info on our people, and I swear to Eden if you people kill him before I get my answer, I'll … I don't know. It'll be something." Then Cameron freezes, turning and staring at Grant for a long moment. He's stepping forward before he's even aware of it, lifting up his gun and taking aim. "You fucking murdered Cookie?!" He's totally going to shoot the guy.

"No!" Madelyn screams, rushing toward Grant. "You're lying! Just… Just like you said everyone else was dead. Where are they?" she demands, setting her jaw and glaring up at him.

Grey keeps walking along the long infirmary, pointing to the door on the opposite side of the room, "According to Lip, they're in there, Wre — " His words cut off at Grey's response, and he very carefully slings his assault rifle. That's a good sign, right? Oh no, it's not. The shock baton is out with a snap and a crackle, and now he's not advancing across the room, but straight at Grant. "You're a dead man."

Morgan follows the others into the infirmary and immediately aims his rifle at the mountain man. Did not survive phase II? "Kill him."

Morgan adds "Slowly."

"Just shoot him and move on." Quinn glances back towards the others, shaking her head, "We don't have time to exact slow and wonderful revenge on every fucker in here if we're hoping to get out of here. Just move on."

When they walk into the room with Grant, Max looks back from where he stands, keeping an eye on the hallway. There's a flicker of his expression, and then a slight furrow of his brow that grows into a frown. He looks at Grant for several long moments, especially when the answer comes that Hanne and Cookie are dead. There's a burning in his eyes, and a tension throughout his entire body as he just stares at Grant, as though he can't quite reconcile the clinical way that the answer is given. He reaches toward Madelyn as she goes to rush toward Grant, but he's not fast enough. He watches the others converging on the man, and then just turns away, back to Quinn and the hall, keeping an eye out for arriving guards.

<FS3> Reno rolls Persuasion: Success. (8 4 6 2 5 3)

Wren listens for a long moment, he doesn't know all the words, but he knows enough to figure that he's saying isn't good. WHich only just bristles him more. More death. Even if it's Skaikru, it's death that is unforgivable. "Then you are meat, animal." Wren doesn't bother saying anything more, swinging his axe.

Reno holds up a finer and said "Hang on…" He set the pillowcase down and walked over to Grant stopping a bit away, again, not in front of the guns and said "The coat please." He could be reasonable. His jaw was tightened from hearing that Adam Itawa, Rollins… Hanne and Cookie didn't survive… Ruth he knew. His chest tightened but he was adamant.

"I did not murder anyone. I'm a lab tech, I analyze results," Grant tells all of them calmly, looking at the folks as they seem to getting upset. He looks at all of them and there's little reaction in the man's face.

Gideon does not hesitate, she has already got the arrow drawn back. She lifts the arrow just a hair, and then releases so that it is aimed right at Grant's throat. Her expression is ice cold, but she sees no reason to draw another arrow. After all… in the Trikru… every villager gets to administer a cut.

Cameron's eyes are pure rage and pain: Cookie is dead. The others are, too. But Cookie is dead. These monsters bled her. All he can do is think of what he saw on the video camera, those two grounders hung upside down being bled. If he knew what really happened to her, his rage might just drive him into that place where he's completely insane. But he's got enough rage going for now, "She lived her entire life only to make people happy, to cook for them, to take care of them. That's who you drained, so YOU could live an easier life. You stole her life from her, you vampire. Hanne was kind and gentle and did nothing to anyone but try to help. You stole her life from her, you vampire. Die." And he aims and shoots— and this is a very good shot. He doesn't even flinch. Probably because he's crying. Just tears, but crying. Cam doesn't cry.

Grant keeps his hands above his head and looks straight ahead as Gideon releases her arrow and hits his neck. His lab coat is sprayed with blood as he winces from the pain of being shot there. Then Cameron steps in and shoots him in the chest. The man isn't wearing any armor so the fresh bloom of red appears there. At no time does he put down his hands as the two attack him. If anything he look at Cameron and there's a world weariness of a man that's seen too much, "I never touched her. I didn't do the procedure. I just read the results and put them in the computer. I'm not the one the kills Mr. Scott. I'm just the record keeper, but if it gives you a measure of satisfaction to kill me for a job I was born into then so be it." He doesn't put his arms down. He sits there and takes the shot in his chest, staggering off his chair and leaning against the wall, "But I suppose since you can't kill the good doctor, I'll have to do." There's a quiet resignation that there's little he can do in this situation. Rather than beg and plead for his life, he takes it, calmly with poise of a wounded man and looks damn good while doing it.

Kai prowls up to the solid door at the far end of the room, pressing her ear against it to try and listen to the room beyond. It seems that while murdering guards that had tried to kill them was one thing in her book, she deems that there's already a long list of people willing to visit death upon Grant without her help. And really, her wounds hurt. So she sheathes her machete temporarily and paces over to the nearest bed, electing to tear back the blanket and stab the sheet with her knife so she can break some of it up into strips to stuff in her armor.

When Grant staggers away from the arrow and the shot, Grey follows close behind, crossing the distance in a couple of short strides. He doesn't yell anything, he doesn't hesitate, he doesn't try to just tap the Maunon with the tip of the shock baton. No, he tries to club him with it, triggering the electric charge as he sweeps the baton down toward the lab tech's torso from above.

Wren says nothing. He's been standing rather still the entire time, holding his axe in his good hand. Gideon, then Cam, now Grey, and then finally him. He sets a hand on Kai's before he moves forward. There's a just a look at him. "<In Trigedasleng> Blood must have blood." he growls out in venomous tone. His axe, already covered in blood as it is, gets raised and brings it down in quick, but perhaps vaguely merciful swipe, burying it in Grant's chest. He gives it one hard push forward, letting it sink deeper, before being sure he's dead, using a foot to press against the lab tech's shoulder and withdrawing the weapon with a visceral, meaty sound. "We're done. Keep moving." he states evenly.

Grant hisses as he feels the lightning of the shock baton course through his body and almost drops him to his knees. He feels himself loose control of his bodily functions and gives a dry laugh. And then his executioner arrives, the big Outsider with the axe that seems to be baring down on him. Rather than look at the Wren who's bringing his axe down on him, he looks at Cameron and there's a moment of guilt there that passes as he thinks of someone, someone that he still manages to care for despite the ice that's around his heart, "Scarlett…she's not dead Mr. Scott. I know I don't have any favors left to ask but help her…they're going to…" And then the axe slices into his chest, dimming the light in the tech's eyes who's last thought was to do right by Scarlett.

"You're part of medical, your duty is to heal. You're part of what killed them. You could have done the right thing. You didn't. You're guilty. Don't you fucking dare die thinking you're merely a bystander in this, you're a monster and an enabler, an accomplice, a participant of the murder of my friends, my family, my people." Cameron hisses through clenched teeth in response to Grant, his fury making him tremble with a certain wildness that he's only shown once. He doesn't take it well when he loses someone close to him. Maybe Grant heard it, maybe he didn't. Cam has to say it. Even as he lowers his hand. The look he gives Wren and Gideon is not pleased, though. Not pleased by half. To both he has dark, angry looks.

"Stop, for fuck's sake! This isn't going to bring anyone back!" Madelyn pleads, as Wren strikes the killing blow. "I hate all of you. You're all fucking… fucking animals. He was unarmed. He wasn't even… wasn't even the one…" The slight girl sputters and shakes, tears of rage rolling down her cheeks.

"Then we're all fucking animals. Save the dramatics for after we're out of here." Quinn responds with a frown, shaking her head just a bit taking a step away from the door, "Let's go." Someone, this being Quinn, does not want to get stuck in the mountain, clearly.

Grey should really stop. But he doesn't. No, the shock baton rises and falls, again and again. Energy crackles and arcs, even if it's into a dead or dying man. If Madelyn hated him for hitting the man in the first place, she probably hates him a great deal more by now. He's also delaying their escape, which — according to Lip — is right through the door on the far side of the infirmary.

Gideon kom Skaikru steps forward, grabbing hard onto the back of Gray's armored jacket with both hands, aiming to pull him back. "We have no time!" The archer flashes her gaze between those present. "We need to move, and we need to move now. We have the living." Her jaw sets. "We go, we go now." When Cameron gives her a look, she flashes him her teeth. "There are still Trikru here, but we must get our people out now." She nods to the doors leading back the way Lip says they need to go.

Kai isn't getting near the killing field, the tearing of cloth is followed by the prying of her damaged armor from her skin in order to stuff the clean near-white of the material up between her skin and the wound to try and staunch it. Another strip is taken as she pries open the top of her armor and carefully shoves another wad of material against the other hole before lacing her armor up tight again,"We need a keycard over here." the grey-eyed girl rasps, taking a moment to lean against the wall and steel herself, just a little more. Just a little further. She can do it, the mental talk goes, she's had worse. What's a little blood loss? Grey might be taking his rage out on Grant's corpse, but it's him that she has a dark look for, lips pursed behind her face cloth.

Max keeps his back to the entire procedings. Whatever he thinks of it all, he keeps it as tightly controlled as possible. His gaze is focused on the hall behind them and whoever might come rushing toward the infirmary from outside. Only once the other's start moving does he pull away from the door. He doesn't look in Grant's direction. He just turns and heads for the doors at the back of the infirmary, keeping his eye on the door behind them.

Tink leans over one of the sinks in the infirmary and throws up, dry heaving into the sink after the display of her friends killing the unarmed tech. She can't look as the last blow lands in the man's chest but she knows he's dead. And it's not like in the hall when they were fighting for their lives. This guy was executed for being on the medical staff. AFter she throws up, she wipes the back of her sleeve with arm, "Yeah…we got to go. The guy said that guards were coming."

"They're all dead. Every mother, father, son, daughter taken cry for vengeance. Forty years and more of pain and suffering. I will not stop until this place is smoking ruin. And leave it as a reminder for any that should do what has been done." Wren's tone is vicious. The burning rage would not evident if it couldn't be heard in his voice. "The innocent spare, the guilty die." There is not grey here. Either you live or you die. And large hulking Trikru warrior is moving for the back of the infirmary. "We move. Now."

Reno just watched and then let his hand drop. Madelyn wasn't wrong. Instead of complying though Reno walked over to Grant and scooped his RFID card and turned to the computer console. "Cole. We are finding Scarlett." He looked to them and said "Well we know you can get out by going down and we can lock out the doors to Infirmary if… we are clever." He moved to the console using what memorized paths he and Cole had before and started to type as fast as his fingers would allow him. He was going to figure out how to get her out of here. He couldn't save their own now, but that… they could do something about.

"Fuck right, we're getting Scarlett." Cole nods, having had passed Cassandra off to Asher when he came back to look in on her. Better him than the mechanic. "Let's fuckin go, man." Taking out the keycard that Reno had tossed him, he moves to the front, to unlock any door that he's going to have to need to use said keybard on.

When the far door is opened by someone with a Guard's keycode, it reveals what was once a horror-chamber. Lit by blue light from behind a grate in the ceiling, there are two dozen cages, sized for large dogs. And a couple of anklets on the end of chains hanging from the ceiling. There are four doors. Three of the four are now open. The one directly across the room from the infirmary is closed, but the largest one at the far end of the room opens to a mass of additional cages, mostly empty. There are a few Grounders still being herded toward the last door. It shuts, and there is a 'foomp' sound, and then opens again, and there are no more Grounders in the little room beyond. Apparently, that's the airlock to the disposal chute. More Grounders resume guiding the last of the Grounder prisoners into the airlock, then follow themselves, nodding to the incoming Skaikru. One points to a button, "Use that." Apparently, it operates the chute.

"You will NOT burn this place, Wren kom Trikru, or I will kill you myself." Cameron, eyes wide with rage and hurt is adamant, "Or you will kill me first, I don't care which. This place will not burn. You have no idea, NO IDEA, the treasures held here. Yes. Kill every guilty son of a floating murderer there is, kill every one and I'll help you, but so help me if you try to destroy this place and the wonders it holds,… I'll stand against you to my last breath. The men are evil, kill them. The treasure trove of the Mountain will be protected, though, I swear on my blood to my last breath." And he adds, "And there are innocent people who aren't just children here. Some helped us. Warned us. I won't let anyone kill Scarlett either." That said, he moves forward, but he's still giving Wren dark looks. More Wren than Gideon after that 'smoking ruin' comment. Burn down the Storage Archives? Over Cam's dead body.

Grey does not fight Gideon when she pulls him back, for all that tears stream down his face and blood spatters his features. The baton crackles for a moment longer, and then retracts. "We have living…" The words come out in a gasp as he struggles to catch his breath. The talk of going back for… someone he doesn't know, causes him to snarl, "Our people are here. Now. We don't know how many soldiers the Mountain has. People've already died to get you out. We're leaving now, before they kill us too."

"Agreed." Quinn throws her weight in behind Grey's words, letting her eyes scan from person to person, "I'm sorry about Scarlett, but she wont exactly survive going with us, right? So what the fuck do you expect to do for her?" She shakes her head, taking a step further in, shifting her grip on the gun, "Let's go. Before we all get slaughtered and everyone died for nothing."

"Boy…" Wren looks at Cam evenly. "For the sake your people, do not threaten me. I am not in the mood to listen to your childish pratling." Then he sniffs. "You wish to kill me? You are welcome to try." Either he's not impressed or he's not worrying about whatever one Skaikru may think, he has other things on his mind. He's moving for the back.

Reno turned a look to Grey and said flatly, "Look I don't expect you to understand, Grey, but without her we'd never have gotten that signal out. We'd all be dead and Cameron would have been here Hanne, Cookie, and Adam are now. They're going to punish her for doing the civil thing and aiding us. I can't in any good conscience leave her behind. No." he kept typing.

"This is not the time, nor the place," Gideon hisses at both Wren and Cameron. "We are not finished. The Twelve Clans are waiting, and we need to get out." Then she looks up in time to see that the Trikru have already arrived, helping the other Trikru out. She nods firmly at the words, and then she looks to the chute indicated. "Wounded after others have gone down… I will stay and make sure we are covered. Once you get into the tunnels, we move quickly… no hesitation."

Tink looks at all of them, all her friends, "We gotta go…now. I'm sorry but we don't have time. I think if we don't go now we might not get out." She motions to Cameron, Cole and Reno to follow her, "I can't stay here…not now. Not after everything that happened." She follows the others out, leaving whoever plans to hack at the computer. In this one instance, Tink is choosing to get out of there. Plus her head is ringing and there's no way she's in shape to try to hack.

"Tink." this from Kai, a gesture for the blond, though her attention is settled on Cameron as him and Wren exchange words, the grey-eyed girl leaving her machete sheathed but waiting for Wren to go ahead before following the blond girl in the direction of the chute. There's acknowledgment for the Trikru, relief, but apparently she's not interested in going looking for a Maunon in her current condition.

"We're not fuckin leaving her behind." Cole agrees with Reno. "We're going to find her, shove her in a suit, carry enough canned air to get her back to the Ark, and then…I dunno…build some kind of sterile room. But I am not leaving her behind. I owe her my life, we all do. She's the fuckin reason we got a goddamn message out." And he joins Reno at the computer station.

Cameron nods to Reno firmly in agreement, "Without Scarlett, they would have hung me up; she warned me about what was going on. But. Guys, we can't get her out now. We don't have a plan for how to keep her alive. She can't survive outside the mountain. She will die. The only way she lives to see tomorrow is to stay here, in the mountain. We can't bring her with us— that simply does not make sense. Its not saving her, its killing her. We have to go now. There's no reason for her people to kill her and we can … solve the problem of the Mountain's leadership later." Then he snorts at Wren, challengingly, "Don't try me. I don't die easy and the collections held here are worth my life." But he looks to the others, "No, Cole. It'll just kill her. She's already weak, hasn't she told you? She'll die faster then most of them. I'm not saying we don't save her, I'm saying right now we can't."

The rage between Cameron and Wren causes Grey to snarl again, and he does not look good snarling through a tear-streaked face. "Move, people. Now. We're getting the hell out of here. And we're coming back, with a thousand Trikru." And then the back of his right hand, spattered in blood, catches his eyes, and he tucks it under his left armpit, doing his best to wipe it off. Mostly it streaks. He starts toward Reno and Cole, "Do you know how many guards they got? 'cause if the Trikru've already been here to get their people, there's no more'n twenty of us in here. Maybe just us nine. We don't go, we die."

Reno tried a few attempts, fingers doing mach two. It was Tink saying she was leaving which did it. He whispered, "I'm sorry Scarlett. We'll come back." He grabbed the pillowcase of contraband and started towards the other end of the room when his heels stopped and there. THERE… hanging on the back of a chair, he grabbed it. "Cole we need a more secure console. I think we're going to need Montgomery's. You type. Try that file path you accessed last time." He moved off the keyboard to have room allotment for cole to type on while he took whatever he found and bundled it, stuffing it into the pillowcase. Coat achieved. Now… now finding Scarlett would have to be another ordeal. "Cole, patient and project roster?"

"Stop arguing…just go." Quinn's staying put, waiting on those that are going to go, which apparently includes Max since she gives him a jerk of her head after the others that are heading for the chute. "Reno, if you don't go, I'll drag you myself for Max's sake…so start walking."

Still shaking — clearly not used to speaking her mind so much, especially considering the circumstances, Madelyn goes back to helping Silas move.

"Fuck." Cole hates with when he knows he's wrong here. Though it may suck more hearing it from Grey. "Alright, fine. We come back, we're getting Scarlett." he looks Grey. "I swear to god, if she dies…." he slams a hand on the computer table. "Reno, we gotta go. I'm sorry, we fuckin gotta." he'll move to go then, looking like he absolutely hates himself right now. "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." Reluctantly, he follows the others.

Kai casts a look again at Cameron,"To get him, Cameron, you'll have to go through me, and I've got no interest in fighting you." is what the weary girl offers as she pulls down her mask at last, content to go down the death chute into the Reaper tunnels from hell. Hell, at this point.. they're kinda familiar.

"Reno, we have to go now. She is from here and we have no guarantee we can keep her alive even if we get enough air to get her back. Get out now. Do the calculations. Figure out a plan. But for now, she's safer here than she is out there," Max says to Reno. He then reaches out and he takes his brother's arm, grabbing him and saying, "Now. Don't make me bonk you over the head and drag you out of here…" Because he might just do it.

Apparently, Cameron isn't worth responding to because Wren's already walked out of the room.

Apparently, Grant wasn't lying, the sound of shouts sounds from outside the infirmary over the arguing from inside.

"The next person who dares threaten someone who risked their lives to enter this Hell to save them, and I will throw you down this chute without care if you land safely," Gideon growls at all the pettiness thrown around while she makes sure Asher goes down the chute, and then carefully gets Cassandra down after him.

Reno already had things in hand and Tink couldn't stay and he… was having a very hard time going into the room with the kill floor. He looked to Quinn and Max on the way. A hand went out to Cole giving his shoulder a squeeze, and well, as it was Reno in the end would chose Tink and Max over his principals. "Cam, we are no good to her dead. We gotta get a different plan. And a eco suit for her still." He closed his eyes and just ran into that horrible room after his own.

"And to get to the collections, Kai, he'll have to send you through me, and I've no interest in fighting you. I will not allow the Mountain to burn. You don't understand what's here." That said, Cameron isn't in any way staying behind. As one of the least wounded, Cam's just taking up the back. He waves people on, and moves to follow. "Hey, I'm not not-going, people. Eden preserve us, all the injured go first, those perfectly healthy go last. Stop yipping about going and just GO."

Quinn waits to make sure everyone's following, then glances behind her towards the shouts. "Move fast…we've got incoming." She calls, moving after everyone else, walking backwards just to make sure that no one comes through the door before everyone's down the chute.

Max falls in next to Quinn to cover their retreat, bringing up the gun once more and keeping it leveled at the doorway as he waits for the others to make their way down the chute. Uninjured, he keeps to the very back to make sure everyone gets out.

Madelyn helps Silas down the chute, then closes her eyes and tucks her skirt around herself before going down herself, making sure the pillowcases full of stolen treasure are secure.

Kai just grunts for Cameron,"I don't, and right now, I don't care. I'm beginning to lose feeling in my fingers and we've got a whole bunch of tunnels with our local friendly cannibal killers to walk through still." she cycles the button for the chute, apparently choosing to go after the rest of the caged Trikru and after Madelyn and Silas.

Each batch of escapees has the door closed in front of them, and then a hatch in the floor — helpfully outlined in yellow paint marred with old red stains — opens beneath them and they tumble out into a mining cart that someone thoughtfully padded with a foam mattress from the Ark. And they're greeted by a small team there, including Lip, who has had almost entirely 'Groundhogs' to deal with all day and is probably pretty looking forward to talking to 'real people.'

Grey settles in alongside Quinn, back to the escape route, to play rearguard. "Old times?" Not really. He even scrabbles together the presence of mind to get his assault rifle back up and pointed in the right direction. "…if this Mountain Woman dies, she won't be the first person the Mountain kills, Cole." As he and Quinn get back to the horror chamber beyond the Infirmary, he closes the door, then whips out the shock baton and gives the keypad reader a good jolt. Hopefully it will at least slow down any pursuit.

Tink is right there with Kai, getting her butt out of there. She looks over her shoulder to make sure the boys are following and then heads down the chute with Kai. When she sees Lip on the ground, she rushes forward to give that guy a big hug because even though folks were telling her that he wasn't dead, it really helps to see that Lip is there in the flesh.

"Grey…" Cole, climbs out of the mine cart once he's slide down, drawing out his pistol. "..I hear what you're saying. And maybe later I'll say thanks for it. Just…not fuckin right now, okay? I don't…can't hear it at this moment." That said he looks at one of the two rings, one on each hand. Each are important for two different reasons. But the one on his right hand, in his middle finger he looks at, then curling that hand into a fist, following along with everyone else.

Sliding down a chute, this is not so fun. Cameron isn't seriously wounded, buy its in a place that means every motion of his middle body hurts— and his middle body moves a lot when it slides down a chute. So he's grunting and cringing and gripping at his side at the end of the fall, wincing, "Eden's fires, ow. That was our intended escape route? On purpose?" he grumbles as he climbs out of the cart.

"Just like." Quinn agrees when Grey falls in alongside her, smirking just a fraction, waiting until he's bashed the keypad reader. She waits for Grey before moving again, letting the others head into the chute first. When it comes to her turn, she just takes a breath and slides down it.

Reno ran to Max and really didn't want to catch his breath. Not here. He muttered trying not to breathe in the stale air of the makeshift charnel room, "Max, wait up." There was that look. They were leaving and that meant going out there with… he didn't want to think about it. He was trying to be as brave and rational as he could and nothing about this situation was alright to anyone, sure. And he finally said the words Max was probably waiting to hear. "Wait up I'm coming with you." He hugged the bag of people's stuff. His and Tink's sure but a few other things that were important. Hey, paints were important too. He had a strange survival ethic. Hitting the bottom uncomfortably he looked around and found Tabitha and, "Lip!" He swallowed a deep breath and staggered over climbing out of the cart to stumble over and give him a hug. Group hug time. "Shit I thought they fed you to thing. You have no idea how glad we are to see you alive." He let him go and looked to max and then up at the chute waiting for the rest of them. There was Quinn… Cam… Cole… he looked around for Maddie.

Padding was good, but still Kai actually had to stop and lean up against the wall of the tunnel, sheet white under the ash and blood. It's not the bleeding rifle wound to the chest.. or the one to the abdomen.. or the head wound, or the mangled left hand.. or that bits of her are still dodgy from earlier fights, it's the combination of all the above that mandates that rather than simply walk it off she actually take a long moment in an out of the way place to screw some veneer of calm over the bits of her that make their love of the abuse very audibly known to her. But well, not a good spot to rest and eventually she manages to get herself under control to limp along with the rest of them towards escape.

Gideon, Quinn, and Cole make the last trip down the disposal chute, and when they land, Grey 'oofs' loudly and then notes, "I'm pretty sure neither of you are supposed to be pokin' me. So what's that in my leg?" Just a scabbard or arrow or rifle barrel, no harm, no foul. Except for the nice knot on his head where he hit the side of the cart through the padding and the . Clambering slowly down, he adds to the group, "We got a two day walk ahead of us, but we got healers and medtechs a day out. We ain't outta this yet, folks. Let's go."

Cameron grunts and nods his head, "Yeah, let's… man I was just thinking of my tent. I want to be back at the Dropship Camp and wake up tomorrow in my tent. I suppose its burned to dust now. I have no idea what world I'm going back to. I want my tent, with my people, my one hundred." He hesitates, "So many are gone now." He says this softly, more to himself, "The One Hundred are becoming shadows upon the wind." He doesn't even know how many they are. But he's not weak. His expression is firm, steady. Cool. He might long for that time of bliss— when every day was a struggle of his own and it was just he and his own fighting for every meal— but he'll go find what newness is there for… Arkers. Is he an Arker? He doesn't feel like one. Not at all. Not anymore. "Let's go." he agrees.

Quinn climbs out of the cart, settling the rifle in her hands before she moves over to check on Max. She gives him a brief nudge, and a faint grin before she waits on the rescuers to lead the way out.

Max, who was also covering the rear, ends up at the bottom of the chute and, making sure that everyone is there, he nods to Quinn when she comes to check on him. He's okay. "Let's get out of here, huh?" he says to her with the faintest of smiles before giving her a return nudge, gently, given that she's injured, and follows out.

"Forty." at least by Kai's counting,"There's nothing left at the dropship.. Alpha survived Arkfall.. most of the rest of them are there." she offers to Cameron in a tight voice,"When you get there can you tell Eli that I'll be at the Healing House at Tondc?" she presses a hand to her side,"If we don't catch up before you guys head back."

<FS3> Cameron rolls Resolve: Good Success. (3 6 4 8 5 7)

Reno saw what he needed to see; their people make it into the shafts and into that stinky passage. He held the pillowcases close and walked somewhere between Tabitha and Max letting them catch up with Kai and Quinn. They were going back outside which was bizarrely somehow safer than inside in the recent week. Nothing was safe. Everything was broken. Five people were dead… maybe six. He was grateful to be out but had no room in his heart to celebrate it. His feet obediently carried him forward.

Cameron stumbles a moment there. Fifty? He keeps his cool though, and he nods to Kai, "Of course." he says with the sort of tone that is better then any oath. Fifty. Fifty. The number rings in Cam's mind and its shock rejects it. It can't be Fifty. But Kai wouldn't lie. Cameron pales a little, haunted. Seeing Morgan, he thought maybe everyone survived. That should be more. Fifty. … Fifty. Half of Cameron's family is dead.

"Yeah, let's get out of here." Quinn agrees, glancing back upwards with a bit of a frown before she turns her attention back to Max, "You know what I'm looking forward to the most…" She keeps her voice low, and her attention on the rest of the group, and the back, since she's also slightly paranoid about getting trapped again.

"Fifty-one." It's a sad, harsh correction from Grey, even as he quickly adds, "Including you, Kai. Farm and Factory made it down too, but we haven't hooked up with them yet. Peace with the Trikru, at least for now, and they've been workin' with us real good on takin' down the Mountain." And, Grey's being a great deal more open about his status with Gideon, considering the Guard moves over to help her walk on her wounded leg, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and squeezing lightly. Quinn's cliffhanger demands an answer, at least from Grey, and he supplies, "Hot shower."

Max glances over in Grey's direction as he takes in that updated information of what is going on, how many are left, that there is peace with the Trikru. All of it is taken in and processed on top of the events of the last couple of days. He then looks back over toward Quinn and lifts a brow quizzically.

Kai grunts acknowledgment for Grey's correction, isn't that even more depressing. Though she can't help but fire a look his way, shaking her head grimly as she continues along with the rest of them. It's going to be slow going but she'll make it, she hasn't died yet, afterall.

"The sky." Quinn corrects Grey, shaking her head, "I've had plenty of the showers and shit…but I don't want any more of the whole locked in a box shit. I'm done." She then just shakes her head, falling silent, letting the rest of the conversations, or the silence, wash over her.

Reno just walked quietly behind his brother keeping an eye on Tink and her headwound. He closed his eyes and tears stung his cheeks. Nothing in the world made sense right now and it wasn't apt to anytime soon. Quinn got her sky. At least someone got something out of all of this.

It takes a little longer than Quinn might hope, but no more than about fifteen minutes. And then light begins to grow ahead of them beyond the red-tinged flashlights brought with the rescuers. It's still just late afternoon or early evening, and as they begin to descend down the mountain, bare this high up, but with the treeline just below them, they can see smoke rising from the summit of Mount Weather.
