Delinquent Camp
The camp.
Day 27

Day begins to fade into dusk, and as the sun creeps behind the trees and mountains to the west of the Delinquent camp, forms begin to move within the trees. The last rays of the sun still shine on the tops of the trees on the eastern side of the clearing when the forms get closer, stopping half-over the various hills and dells surrounding the camp. Grounders. Far more than the 50 that they were told were with Sonia. Then again, it's been days. One of them, a big burly man with huge shoulders, and a heavy two-handed axe slung over his shoulders steps forward more clearly, standing on the trail leading north from the gate. He raises his voice, bellowing out in Gonasleng, his words easily audible to those standing on the walls to either side of the gate and to those behind it, "This is your last chance, Skaikru. Surrender yourselves to judg —"

<FS3> Opposed Roll — Rifle=18 Vs Grounder=5
< Rifle: Great Success Grounder: Good Success
< Net Result: Rifle wins - Solid Victory

And that's as far as he gets. His throat explodes in a welter of blood, and the crack of a rifle fills the clearing. He begins to sink down, and a shout of dismay and anger rises from the Grounders around the camp.

Grey was on his way up to the walls, festooned with weapons including his knife, his makeshift baton, and his assault rifle, the one with the little 'LG' carved into the stock that he keeps drawing from the armory. With his cauterized wounds feeling a good bit better, he's taken to wearing his fatigue t-shirt again under his Grounder-armor jacket. Hauling himself up to the wall-walk to the left of the gate and shifting the seat-cushion and seat-belt messenger bag at his left hip, he looks out at the gathering Grounders, turning his head back, "Everybody up! Up! Weapons and gear! Prep the dropship doors to close if we gotta! Looks like they're comin'!" And then the Grounder's bellow rolls over his words, and Grey looks forward again, crouching down behind the parapet to listen. The shot causes him to jump a little, "Who fired? Who fired?" This is the problem with having 24 rifles in the hands of criminals…

Max, sitting on the dropship ramp talking with Ruth and Tink says to Tink, "He's going to be okay. He's going to make it." He gives her shoulder a little bit of a reassuring squeeze and then gets to his feet, reaching for the grounder armor he had taken off to fiddle with his bandages. When the call goes out, he hastily begins to get the missing pieces back on and get his knife to his hip. He looks over at Tink then and says, "Maybe.." There's a look in Ruth's direction and he smirks, "Not sure how any of that doesn't give him credit for his part of things. Just taking responsibility for mine." He then pushes away from the ramp and begins to make his way closer to the wall.

Cole was already on the wall, wearing the newest fashion in Grounder-wear. Being some light armor that Silas had managed to cobble together. Epoch, the blade of personal destiny that was forged to him by Que is gripped on his hand. It's a strange looking blade, half blade, half handle and all sorts of nasty looking. But his head swivels when he hears the call and then the shot go out. "Oh fuck. Marksmen to the walls! We got incoming!" Not much the mechanic can do, he doesn't have a rifle, and he's not about to jump over the wall to meet them.

Cameron is, as always lately, in his armor and fully geared up. That includes his knife sword hanging from his side, his newly acquired grounder knife tucked into his belt, his pistol tucked into his belt as well, and his holey grounder armor. He's been a bit grim since the water trip and the four they lost, but they have water now, so that's something. Having just come out of the cook tent to visit Cookie and get his portion of their heavily rationed food, he's still chewing when Grey calls out. So he promptly runs to the wall after going to where the rifles are kept and getting his. He's looking around for Morgan to make sure he ends up near— if they're gonna die, they're going to die together. "Let's teach them a lesson! FOR THE ONE HUNDRED."

"Oh, shit." Ruth voices, stirring from her place near Max against the dropship. If she were less physically impaired, she might have already been on her feet by now. As it stands, though, her hand simply reaches into her bag in automatic reaction to find her sling, loading it at the ready and pressing the makeshift weapon into her palm. "What's going on?" A stupid question, but one that she can't seem to contain. "Max, wait!" She starts to rise, still braced against the ship, but it's slow going. "You're /injured/, you dimwit! Get away from there!"

Stone has been taking a lot of watches on the Sniper's Perch since he got back from the shitshow that was his first leading experience. Four dead on your conscience will lend one to brooding and hoping to shoot something certainly. Sometimes though, he's been joined up there by the ones planning to spot for him if the battle ever occurs, the injured Shi and Ari, and the Sonia-recognizing Cassandra. For his part he's probably first to see that mass of bodies moving towards them before the wall and so it was he who roared out, throat raw from arrow-wound and screaming orders during the convoy, so sounding like rocks rolling down a mountain again. "INCOMING! FUDGING LOTS OF INCOMING!!!!" After which, he was folding forward into the cover at the top of the perch, taking bead on the big bastard who's axe he totally wants to steal someday….and just before pulling trigger, someone else did it! To Grey's sudden cries from below, the giant shooter is calling out below. "Wasn't me! Trying to figure it out!"

It's the crack of the rifle. Nature noises have started to sound normal, but the rifle stills stands out. Silver was inside the dropship, but at the sound of the rifle and the beginning of shouting from outside, she jogs to the mouth of the ship to confirm for herself. She doesn't have any inspiring things to say, or weapons, or any ability to use them, for that matter. But she ducks briefly back inside, grabbing a few of the makeshift medical supplies. Somebody's bound to start bleeding any minute now.

Sleep has not exactly been easy to find, but she's been doing an excellent job of resting her eyes when not actively doing something. And so she's found meditating, sleeping, catnapping…or whatever anyone wants to call it when shit starts. Her eyes snap open right away and she gets to her feet, the rifle that's become a constant companion is grabbed, the sword at her waist is checked, and then she's running for the wall as fast as she can move.

<FS3> Stone rolls Wit+Firearms: Good Success.

Morgan wasn't on watch but after he got back from the trip to get water and Stone had a little talk with the other Guard wannabes, he arranged with a couple of other Delinquents who do usually stand watch that if/when the moment comes, one of them will pass off the rifle to him. After all, he's had actual practice shooting people and the rumour of him blowing someone's head off probably got around camp. Not to mention it means they won't be getting shot at. When he hears it's happening, he quickly throw on his armor and runs out of the dropship. Spotting one of the Delinquents, he runs over to get his rifle and send him back out of range where it's safer. At least till Grounder swordsmen get inside.

Tink looks to Max and Ruth with a look of fear, "I'm not armed…" She then starts running away from the group towards the drop ship where the guns are stowed. She needs to get armed if she's going to handle what's going on out there. The girl does her best to dodge others that are running towards the wall. Nope, going in the opposite direction at the moment.

Cassandra has made no secret of how sour she's been feeling at not being allowed a gun, and that doesn't change now. There is one benefit to all of this: for once, she can't be blamed for things going wrong (yet). She strides across the camp grounds with a thin wooden short-bow across her back, geared in Grounder clothes and Grounder weapons; were she not so underfed and in dire need of an exercise regime, she would be easy in fact to mistake for a Grounder. "Wasn't me," she murmurs in reply to Grey, although amid all the din and chaos, it's more to herself than anything; she's unlikely to be heard. Asher's tent is behind her, from which she's only just emerged at the sound of an approaching army. Her dark, sunken gaze swerves around the area, trying to suss out what's happening, before turning upwards towards Stone's sniper perch. What the fuck am I doing? she might be asking herself. But she does it anyway, grabbing onto the rope he's sent down for her and hauling herself up, inch by inch and with a breathless huff.

The calls from Grey usher Silas to rather quickly crawl out and up from his tent, sword in hand as his eyes are wide and he's baring his teeth. "Fuck my life…" he growls under his breath, looking around for a moment to gauge the situation within the walls before he's jogging over to the wall. He's making his way up and along to meet near Grey and Cole as he looks between them and everyone else who begins to arrive with brows furrowed inwards, his breath heavy as he looks around for the shooter. When he can't spot them- probably due to not looking very hard, he simply looks back over to the massive force of Grounders assembled, who certainly aren't happy that one of their buds just got JFK'd. Silas, despite not having any firearms or ranged weapons, positions himself up and at the wall. They'll probably begin scaling it, so he may as well be up there.. Right?

Shi has up in the nest, trying to get a feel for where her tiny body can be and able to still watch her side of camp. So she was already kneeling down with her knives in place and a rifle next to her. When Stone yells, she turns her attention from the left and her eyes widen as she slips back down and shifts to the left, her rifle up and steady ad she takes a deep breath.

Alison heads for cover near the gates, she has her spear ready, "Diplomacy was never gonna work." The red haired electrician mutters. She reaches a hand to her neck, drawing up the panther fang and lamprey tooth she took as trophies. "Cannot hurt." She says and kisses the for luck. A look of longing is given the neigh impenetrable space ship. "I wish we had made grenades."

Ariadne was in the crow's nest from the drop ship. When the fighting starts she's leaning against the wall with her eyes closed. The first shots make her jump up with alarm. She's still injured from the water run, and her arm is in a sling, but that's not for lack of being able to use it. It's to alleviate the pain with every small movement. She immediately slides her arm out of the makeshift sling and she grabs for the bow that's leaning against the wall. She slings the quiver over her shoulder and moves closer to Stone and Shi. There is pain in her eyes, but determination in the set of her lips. If she's going down, she's going down fighting.

Ladies and gentlemen (or what passes — or doesn't pass — as such), the kitchen is now closed! While shots are fired, there is some shuffling, and clanking, and clanging coming from within the Cook Tent as Cookie and her crew hasten to pack up what they can to haul it (and their asses) to the dropship.

A handful of moments, a breath in, and a breath out - Lark had been on watch during the opening of all of this - where she had spent most of the last couple days, really. Already kinda finding a spot in the wall where she can rest her rifle against, she was drawing a bead on the grounder leader, when… someone else fires. Lark jerks in place, drawing a bead on another Grounder as they start drawing out of the woods. "Get it over with," she says to herself, grumbling. "Just get it damn /over/ with," she says, squinting through the sights.

Britt is in the trees, somewhere, with the small group of archers led by her old friend. The archer's distinctive red hair has been bound back and blackened with soot or something dark. Streaks of the same stuff also blacken her cheeks and forehead — a primitive camouflage. She jumps a little when the rifle cuts off the Grounder's warning, still not used to the sound of gunfire, and her eyes narrow. She notches an arrow, scanning for targets on the wall, but doesn't fire yet.

A strange thing happens once Cassandra hauls herself up into that sniper perch, and the cry of one of her least favourite people reaches her ears: for the one hundred. For the moment, she doesn't even pause to think about the fact that it's Cameron shouting, and that he once tried to have her strung up for murder. Hot blood gushes through her veins and ignites her capillaries, sending a flush across her dusky complexion. The sound is ringing all around. Hunched beside Stone, Ariadne and Shi, she unslings her bow, punches her fist through the air and abruptly yells in tune: "FOR THE ONE HUNDRED!"

Maybe it's hearing Cass of all people do it, but Stone snorts without shifting his aim he's taking and roars out his own. "FOR THE ONE HUNDRED!!!"

Grey adds his own call, "We're all we've got!" There's a brief pause for others to join in, and he finishes, "We're all we need!"

Yelling? It might have an affect. But Quinn doesn't join in the yelling as she gets into position, doing her very best to actually block out any of the extra noise of things as she focuses in on what she is about to do.

"Goddamn the torpedoes!" It almost sounds like singing, but it's not exactly. More like a chant. "It's time to runaway with the sideshow! Full speed right ahead! Don't stop you can sleep when you're dead!" Yeah, it sounds more like a rallying chant. Nothing Cole can do for the moment until Grounders start climbing the walls. "Snipers! Remember where we placed the mine! Take your shot when they're clustered together!" He says, dodging a little more behind the wall when an arrow thunks against it, clearly meant for it.

As the Grounders sweep forward, firing and ducking behind trees as they come, the light shifts oddly in the camp. It's subtle at first, easily lost in the crackle of rifle-fire and shouts from both sides. Arrows and bolts come streaking into the camp from outside, although most of them miss their targets or strike the walls. Arrows and bullets go flying out from the camp as well, and again, most of them miss their targets or strike trees. The Grounders, despite their anger, seem to mostly be flowing away from the areas where caltrops, punji-pits, and other traps were placed… although that does mean that they're flowing toward the mined areas.

Ariadne lets the first of the arrows loose toward the grounders and doesn't wait to see if it hits. She glances briefly and reaches for another arrow. She mumbles as she does this. A cold sweat breaks out on her face from the pain but she prepares to fire again.

Just as Quinn squeezes the trigger she's hit with the arrow, and it causes her to miss, or she missed without there being cause. Depends on the view, either way the arrow that she sticking out of her chest causes her to scream in a mix of pain and anger. Instead of ducking back down, she just raises the rifle again, and takes aim.

Cover is Silver's dear, good friend. There's nothing the med-tech would like more than to be safely ensconced inside the dropship right now, but if everyone outside dies, then it's not going to stay safe in there for long. So she hovers just at the base of the wall, keeping an eye on the fighters of the 100, ready to render aid at need. Though the shouting does complicate the figuring out who needs help. Fog of war.

Since there's none clustered near the mines, Stone takes a shot at one of the early onrushing, aiming for the head, but growling as they snap behind a tree first. "Cass. Keep eye out for Sonia. Shi and Ari, let me know if they surge too much from other direction than I'm facing and I need to switch off." The raspy low words from the giant are soft, calm. As he's taking a particular aim at one of the mines a big group is onrushing towards. "A little further…a little further…"

Britt lets out a soft sigh as the battle begins in earnest. No turning back now. Her keen eyes pick out one of the Skaikru on the wall firing a rifle, and she draws back the arrow.

"Eden, just shut up!" Ruth spits when everyone starts their rally cries, her palms pressing close at her ears. She's a lot of fun at parties, and obviously doesn't understand that this is supposed to heat the blood, fuel adrenaline, etc etc and all that jazz. She just gets a headache. At least she's standing, though she seems very reluctant to get closer to the wall. For now, she hangs back in a lean against the dropship and watches with mute horror as a few arrows find their mark. Her sling remains unused for the moment.

Shi narrows her eyes slowly, one violet eyes moves to line the sights, and she is silent, veryvery silent, but she is taking a position that doesn't pull on her ribs, but the pain still flickers across her face as she keeps her aim, but at least she is watching her side while doing it.

Morgan isn't yelling. He never yells. The shouts of the others just wash over him as marks his target and takes aim. Gently, he squeezes the trigger and it would have been a perfect shot too if not for the branch the Grounder was hiding behind. Which makes it not quite perfect by definition. Damn it. Giving Cam a quick glance to make sure he's okay, he turns back to fire again.

Arrows and guns can cause a lot of confusion. So when Silas begins hearing stuff hitting the wall- his instincts scream to him that obviously something's coming up. Raising his weapon and swinging- he hits nothing more than air and the edge of the wall as he blindly swings. When he takes a glance, he realizes that they're quite far away. Far away to the point that he probably looked like he was swatting a fly or something to the Grounders. Furrowing his brows, Silas lets out a loud shout, "Fuck my life I just wanted sleep!" as he goes back to ducking below cover.

Crouching behind the cover the wall provides, Cameron peeks out to to take aim, and the bullet goes wild and doesn't hit his target. Instead he glances at Morgan, gives him a tight smile even though it's not especially a happy one, and leans out more to take more careful aim.

Tink gets into the drop ship, leaving the view of the others as she scrambles to find the assault rifle and ammo. She then grabs two of them, knowing others on the ground might not be armed and as much ammo as she can stuff into her belt pouch that is normally used for housing her tools. She swears under her breath, "Should have just been fucking walking around with these rifles, not just sitting there jawing away."

From the wall walk, several delinquents are throwing spears, firing bows, and shooting assault rifles. The latter weapons create a cacophony of noise through the otherwise serene forests, sending flocks of twilight songbirds into the trees in a panic to escape the chaos. The first shots fired and spears thrown do not do much in the way of damage toward the assaulting Grounders, and one delinquent on the wall opposite of this portion of the battlefield has taken a crossbow bolt to the shoulder.

Max remains on the ground for the time being, keeping his eye out to see if any of the Grounders start to make their way over the wall. "Fall back if you need triage," he calls out to those who are hit. He'll do what he can to patch people up until there is someone in reach of his knives, apparently.

Cassandra leans forward in her perch, raising a hand to her brow to sweep the area. She knows exactly what she's hear to do, and by golly, she's going to do it. The Ark will be singing her praises for generations: Cassandra, Sonia Spotter, the girl who directly lead to the fall of the Wicked Witch of the East… Coast. That's what she intends to do, anyway, until the whistle of an arrow abruptly whizzes her way and nearly skewers her neck. Even two weeks ago, it would have found its mark, just like the one that cracked her skull, but this time, she is prepared. She remembers. The girl ducks sideways and into Stone's shoulder just in time, wincing, and there's panic racking her form for a moment. "Fuck," she says. "They're shooting at us, Stone! I can't see shit!" But what she can see, when she turns her eyes back in the direction of the arrow that just flew her way, is a Grounder with a bow. Two can play at this game. She narrows her eyes, recalling every bit of training Gideon gave her before she draws an arrow from her quiver, nocks and swiftly lets loose. It may not find its mark, but the next one will, of that she's sure. "I can't spot them if they're shooting at me!" she stressfully notes, arms quivering.

Grey keeps down low as he brings the rifle butt up to his shoulder, sighting down the barrel and sweeping over the advancing Grounders. "Shit. They know where the traps are." And then he finds a crossbow-woman… woah, pointing the weapon right at him. He flinches, barely resisting losing his sight-line, but the bolt buries itself in the wall in front of him, and he holds his bead, "Here they come… pick your targets!"

Lark's shot strikes home, and in that moment, in that single moment, she smiles - making a sighing sound as if in relief. People call out their cries, and Lark draws in another breath - finds her tension again, and lets her rifle track along the trees, watching for movement. Spotting movement, she releases a breath - tracks along it, her shoulders tensing as she draws another bead. Blood on his neck. She aims a little higher, shifting her feet beneath herself in preparation for moving her position.

Alison waits where she is, trying to hold her breath steady. She listens, waiting for the breach. "Be careful." She mutters at her fellow miscreant from space. Then she starts to work towards the gate, creeping and darting to stay beneath the barriers. The irony that she has primitive trophies around her neck and a spear in her hand is totally not lost on the tech.

Ari takes aim at another grounder and and lets loose another arrow. It thunks into his chest, but bounces off the armor. She lets out an angry cry and reaches for another arrow. The flash of the mine rings in her ears and she glances at Stone and gives him a lopsided grin. Her eyes then search for Shi and when she sees they are both uninjured she immediately returns her attention to the fight.

As the sun drops down beneath Mount Weather and the rest of the Blue Ridge mountains, light still remains, although it is far fainter than the sun. A blaze of fire in the west, traveling east with deceptive slowness.

Cameron, leaning up and not really being good with hiding behind cover? Actually manages to hit a Grounder, and his cool eyes hiss out a, "Got one! Floating savages." Just how long ago was he talking about trying to make peace with these people? Well. That said, he ducks back behind cover this time, taking aim again but more carefully.

"Of course they're fudging shootin' at us Cass!! It's war! Just keep your head down and eyes out for fudge sakes!" Stone growls out quick aside to Cass as she's jostling him. Not enough though for causing him to miss his mark entirely though as he's inhaling, steadying, and pulling the trigger just in time to duck sideways as a second arrow flies at his head. KABOOOOOM!!!! The explosion rips through the forest like nothing the Delinquents have probably ever seen before and that the Grounders probably have only had nightmares of in talk of Mountain Man missiles. A fireball the size of a small house that flings people and bits of wood at high velocity, the entire line of Grounders left bloody, at least one not getting up at all. "I think I need to kiss Cole on the lips, Shi. Just sayin'!" He waits to see how the grounders will take that turn of events while lining up to see if he can take another shot individually until they are closer to the next mine set.

Morgan lines up his rifle for another shot when he notices one of the Grounders looking right at him. Oh, look. An arrow pointed at him. It's only fair he offer a gift in return but neither is delivered which is good and bad respectively. And then one of the mine goes off and he instinctively ducks. "Holy shit." Perking through a firing hole, he looks impressed. "SONIA!" he shouts. "Letting your people do your job for you? Some leader you are, too scared to fight."

Tink comes running out into the yard, carrying an assault rifle. She makes a beeline to Cole who's standing there with a sword, waiting for the guys to come over the wall. She start at the sound of the explosions and yells out to Cole, "Holy shit that's loud!" And gives him a salute, letting him know that she's glad he made some awesome bombs.

Shi misses, she reallyreally hates missing, but there are arrows sliding towards the cover of that nests and she is shaking gently as she shifts her attention to Stone at his words, and she can't help it, she flickers a grin. "As long as I get to watch!" She winks at Ari as her attention is pulled back to the incoming and she once more shifts the rifle into place, hoping for better freaking aim, she did train for night fighting after all!

Max moves over to one of the injured who stops long enough to let him get a bandage on, skipping over those who are still fighting for the time being. He moves to work quickly, getting her patched up so that she can get back into the fight again. The earth-shattering-kaboom makes him wince and duck, crouching down a bit lower and muttering something under his breath. Once the bandage is on, he lets his charge return to fighting and keeps an eye on the wall for a breach.

The explosion makes her squint, and Quinn ducks quickly to give her head a shake, trying to knock the spots out of her eyes and the bells out of her ears. "Goddamn…" She mutters, waiting that split second to make sure everything is back in order before she straightens, taking aim once more.

Silver winces at the boom of the grenades going off, ducking down instinctively. Once her ears are ringing a little less, she forces herself to straighten up enough to look over the walls, checking for injuries. So far, so good. But that doesn't seem to be helping the growing knot in her stomach.

Grey's target ducks back behind the tree to reload his crossbow just as Grey pulls the trigger, and he curses under his breath, looking for another target — only to be completely distracted by the detonation of one of the mines. He ducks back behind the parapet as chunks of wood and dirt sprinkle the ground. He looks around briefly, opening and closing his mouth to try to get his hearing working again, "Maup… maup…" Someone told him that's the sound you make to get your hearing back. Shaking his head, he looks for another target, saying more than a bit too loud, "Good, Cam, get another one."

There's a distinct cackling when Cole sees the mine go off. A manical, almost giddy kind of laughter that echoes out. Perhaps he's not happy about the mine explosion, but rather the fact that it blew. "IT WORKED. HOLY SHIT IT FUCKIN WORKED, A-HAHAHAHAHA!" he cackles, and then looking over at Tink who's suddenly joined him.

Make that arrows, guns, and fucking explosions. Silas' eyes widen as he clenches his eyes shut as he hears the explosion. When the booming sound of the explosion is heard and (probably) follows through with the shrapnel induced screams of pain. Looking over his shoulder, peeking up beyond the wall to see the damage, Silas looks over to Cole before he lets out a nervous laugh, "Dude holy FUCK! You're our fuckin' Emm-Vee-Pee!". Silas grunts as he sinks back into his spot against the cover of the wall, gripping his sword tightly as he breaths heavy, anticipating the arrival of wall climbing grounders fairly soon.

Lark pauses, as fire converges upon the Grounder she wounded.

A snort comes from her - an arrow striking the walls near her making her flinch. Whatever. Eyes flicker to the still form of the grounder she had seen before - and she draws her eyes away for the moment, butterflies dancing in her stomach.

Breath in, breath out, and she draws a bead upon another Grounder.

Britt's arrow finds its target, albeit in the hand instead of the center of mass. Must be rusty. But then the grenade goes off and the archer jolts visibly. Mouth gaping open, she just stares at the location of the fiery explosion for a moment. "Holy shit," she breathes. She's been in a lot of battles, but she's never seen anything like that before.

A scream sounds from just outside the dropship, and those within and stragglers near the wall would likely hear it clear as day. The explosion that occurs just outside the wall is new, and it's not one Ruth is very much enjoying. "What the hell was that?" she demands over the gunfire, cackling, shouting, and pseudo-profanity that's rather prevalent in the crowd of scared and hype delinquents.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Resolve: Good Success.
<FS3> Cassandra rolls Alertness: Success.

Cassandra is a coward; there is no denying that fact. She would like to, but she likes not dying more and knows the assessment is correct, which is why she doesn't trouble. Let others play the heroes: she will keep her skin instead. And so when she lets loose her second arrow, which misses once again, only to receive a return-fire that actually hits — she quails. For a moment she fancies that she might be locking eyes with her opponent beneath that grisly metal mask he's wearing, before Stone pegs the hydrazine mine and sends everything up in a cloud of smoke. She clings to his arm without even realising she's doing it and turns her eyes to scan the battlefield. "I… I think it's…" Her attention tears away from the Grounder attacking her towards another, trusting that others will protect her, but in the mad haze of battle, she cannot spot Sonia correctly. She shakes her head. And as a dim afterthought, she suddenly remembers that an arrow is sticking out of her chest, only that for some reason, it doesn't hurt. It's with some delay that she prises it free, shaking, and makes a mental note to thank Silas later. Hopefully not with the means she guaranteed in her efforts to persuade him to part his masterpiece armour with her, and not some other, worthier fighter.

The Grounders slow in the face of the explosion, many of them struggling to their feet, although some stay down. Around at the back of the camp, another of the mines goes off, once more sending Grounders — and shrapnel — firing. The rush toward the walls hesitates in the area of the mines, uncertainty flickering through the ranks of the Grounders, but elsewhere, they keep pressing closer.

The light-fragment splits away as the sun continues to fade behind the mountains, growing brighter and longer as it inches its way across the western sky. What was previously a single spot begins to taper like a tear-drop. For anyone watching it closely… while there are similarities to the three previous re-entries, this one is definitely different.

"FUCK!" Seriously? One to the chest, and one to the arm are enough to send Quinn behind cover, and searching for someone or something to both remove the arrows and stop the bleeding. She is, honestly, not too egotistical to admit that she's not in a very good spot.

Ariadne shoots and misses yet again. She growls and kicks the side of the drop ship and then yelps in pain as she does. She glances around the immediate area to see that nobody is injured and she steps closer to Shi. She leans in to whisper. "If you get hit, I'm treating you. No questions asked. If Stone gets hit, we hold him down if we have to, damn it." She gives Shi a lopsided grin and raises her bow again while pulling an arrow from the quiver over her shoulder.

And now they get close. The delinquents start to take hits, and Silver can't just stay at the mouth of the dropship any longer. Ducking and weaving as she runs, she moves toward Quinn, breaking out a few bandages. "Don't die, don't die, don't die," she mutters under her breath, belatedly looking up at the guard as she deals with the arrow. "That was for me. You'll be fine. Mostly. This won't kill you." Battle bedside manners: Needs work.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Alertness: Good Success.
<FS3> Cassandra rolls Resolve: Good Success.

Steeling herself, Cassandra wraps her dusky fingers around the haft of her wooden bow, so tightly that her knuckles turn white. Her other hand rises to her forehead and scans the horizon once again, and suddenly her eyebrows go shooting upwards. "THERE!" she yells. "THERE, THAT ONE!" She lowers her hand and thrusts a finger out towards the battlefield, pointing directly at a tall, broad-shouldered Grounder with dark hair. "Shoot her!" she shouts to Stone. "Shoot her, damnit! Sonia kom Trikru!"

<FS3> Ruth rolls Resolve: Great Success.

Back by the dropship, there are medtechs readying for mass triage, non-com stragglers gathering up their weapons and heading into the dropship, and a few like Ruth who can't tear their gazes away from the wall, but also can't seem to gather up the nerve to engage. It's glance up towards the sky that stirs Ruth from this reverie, that light in the sky tracked with narrowed eyes and a slightly parted mouth. "What…" She blinks back towards the wall, up to the sky, and back again. Something clicks. Ruth presses her mouth into a line, moving to the wall at a pained trot and making to ascend it with some aid from those not actively engaged in battle. The person nearest her atop the wall, which happens to be Ariadne, might hear her hoarse cry. "Look up! Look up!"

Max manages to get one bandage on just in time for another blow to come, and so he pauses in his retreat to help the girl with her other wound, urging her to duck down as low as she can behind the wall for as much cover as she can get. He looks over toward Quinn and sees Silver rushing to her side, and confident that Silver has it covered, he focuses on the girl next to him until she's patched up before looking for either another patient to treat, or a Grounder to stab. He's entirely focused on what is going on around the wall and on the ground to notice anything going on in the sky save incoming arrows.

Morgan has the Grounder in his sights when, out of the corner of his eyes, he sees the fire going across the sky and starting to take on a shape. Now is so not the time. He turns back but can't quite stop looking at the sky so misses his shot. Focus, Morgan. Focus. And then Cass spots the bitch. A look over his shoulder to see where she's pointing and he follows the direction of her finger.

<FS3> Tink rolls Resolve: Success.

Tink stays with Cole, covering him and Max as needed as she takes a shop and misses, "Fuck…I totally suck with a rifle." But that's not going to stop the Tech from aiming and trying to get a shop in. She glances over at Cole, "Worst case…I run out of bullets and can use this as a club?"

Cameron hears the call about the leader, but really, he wants to kill the guy who is shooting at Morgan, because that is simply not allowed. "Yes!" He hisses again as his bullet takes the guy in the neck. With more excitement then he usually uses, he leans up out of cover again to take more careful aim at the fellow. Or lady. Who knows? "HELLO YOU SAVAGES, THE SKY PEOPLE BID YOU WELCOME. NOW FLOAT YOURSELF AND DIE." Okay this is not at all the usual cool Cameron. He might be having an excess amount of testosterone surging through his veins at the moment. But he does keep his cool enough to aim careful. Even if he should really stop leaning out of cover every other shot.

"That's probably the best case scenario, Pix." Cole remarks at Tink, who's more or less been spending his time holding Epoch in his hands, waiting for the moment when he's going to have to get his hands dirty, much to his chagrin. "Just aim an shoot, Tink." Since he's not one of the people, he is keeping an eye on the Grounders, but Cassandra's pointing out their leader does make him pause, looking where she's indicating. "Her! There she is! Somebody snipe that bitch!"

Shi glances at Ari and is about to say something, but then Cass is pointing in a direction, and her eyes flicker there. But with so many arrows coming and going, and knowing her chances of hitting, she is staying on target as it were. At Ruth's yell, she can't make most of it out, but she glances behind her and frowns her eyes narrowing before they snap back to the combat from her side.

Silas grunts as he begins to turn somewhat to stop planting his back against the wall as he holds his sword tight in his grasp, raising it somewhat to lean the back of the blad against his shoulder as his brows furrow and he quietly awaits for the Grounders to scale up the wall so he may meet them. However, Ruths cries of looking up cause him to look over and up- causing his jaw to drop somewhat and his eyes to widen as he watches a fiery descent of something from the sky. He stares for a few seconds before he grunts and looks back around to glance at Cole and Tink. "Smack the shit out of them with it." He says in response to her as he rests his side against his side of the wall- ready to start swinging at anyone who happens upon him as he quietly grumbles under his heavy breaths. "Lets fuckin' kill 'em all…"

<FS3> Ariadne rolls Alertness: Failure.
<FS3> Stone rolls Alertness: Good Success.

Stone grunts in a satisfied sort of way when this bullet finds its mark, quipping aside to Ari's comment. "Hold me down? Kinky." What HAVE the girls done to the Boy Scout? But then Cassandra's excitement has him catching his dark eyes up to her, growling out. "Details Cass! Fudgin' details to go on!" Still, the big sniper is moving his sightline along her pointing hand, scanning for someone of what he'd presume is bearing of the one he's heard about and heard vague description of, rifle tracking from female target to female target until he's growling out. "Got her! Thick shoulders? Looks like she's got a stick rammed up her tush?" Well, let's hope it's her, cause the giant is taking careful aim, muttering. "Don't jostle me if you can avoid it."

Morgan has the Grounder in his sights when, out of the corner of his eyes, he sees the fire going across the sky and starting to take on a shape. Now is so not the time. He turns back but can't quite stop looking at the sky so misses his shot. Focus, Morgan. Focus. And then Cass spots the bitch and he glances over his shoulder to see where she's pointing. Sonia. But first things first.

Britt puts another arrow into the Delinquent with the rifle, and frowns when they still don't go down. Well, they're stubborn… she'll give them that. She notches another arrow and takes a breath to steady herself before loosing it.

Another shot - another squeeze of the trigger. Another tracking of her eyes across the Grounders as a whole. Lark purses her lips, the back of her mind telling her that they weren't doing enough damage, quickly enough. There was a cry from the camp. Above? Lark draws a breath in, and out. Focus. They were probably lobbing something in there.

"Worse comes to worse, it hits you, and this is all over," she says, her voice low and murmuring.

Grey studies the Grounder archer charging in and firing, and then he drops his aim just a touch, putting a bullet through the man's leg instead of his chest. It was… almost intentional. There's more screaming from atop the dropship, but it's too far away for him to make out the words, and then Ruth's words cause him to look upward for a moment, "Wait, didn't the sun set alrea — " he's cut off as an arrow whistles past nearby, and he bends himself to his task, "They're gettin' close now! Pick your targets, light 'em up!"

Cassandra's proudly sharp eyes continue to roam the battlefield. Now that she has Sonia in her sights, and is confident she can identify her again, it's time to take stock of just what is going on. First things first, because bless her lying heart: she cares. Where is Asher? Although she doesn't spot him, she does spot an attractive blonde ex-C, Quinn, bleeding and running for cover, and her gaze soon follows towards some Grounder bastard who's shooting at one of her very few friends. There is an object moving fast through the sky, but right now she refuses to be distracted. Her bow rises, another arrow nocked to furiously fire at Quinn's aggressor. If people are trying to identify Sonia based on where Cass is shooting, they're going to shoot the wrong Grounder. "Black braids. Tall. Her face is exposed, she has the weird black eye make-up around it. Long face — I mean that literally. She has a scar on her neck, do you see it?" she answers Stone, but is watching her arrow fly towards a different mark.

Behind the skirmish line of archers and crossbow people comes a wave of Grounders with melee weapons, ladders, and grapnels, They sprint forward, zigging and zagging as best as they can… but in their efforts to avoid the areas where mines have detonated, a few of them stumble into the edges of the trapped areas. One takes a tumble in a shallow hole, screaming as a spike within pierces his foot, and another starts hopping around, trying to pry caltrops from her foot. A third tumbles on a tripwire, and that's just in the area before the gates. Another mine goes up, the third, and once more a section of the Grounder line hesitates.

<FS3> Alison rolls Alertness: Good Success.
<FS3> Alison rolls Science: Success. (Physics)

Alison looks up to the sky, "That's great timing." She mutters and starts to join the ground fight. Her thoughts play briefly over the sky, "So close." Then she rushes into the melee combat, "Stupid savage, this changes nothing. Except you and I die. Come on then." She waits for her chance, set to poke the first grounder she can spear.

The delinquent being treat by Max offers a soft murmur of thanks, but before he can even start with the first syllable, he gets shot again in the hand holding onto the assault rifle, and he nearly drops it. The other delinquents are not doing so hot either, some scrambling down from the wall to catch their breaths.

As the fiery spike in the sky continues it's slow path from the west, it grows and grows, starting to spread across the sky. It now looks something like a mushroom made of fire, a blaze expanding outward from its 'front' and a trail of fire following behind. It has quickly expanded to a relative size greater than the just-set sun, and it seems to be moving much faster than it did when it was first visible.

Ariadne does not let an arrow loose this round. She glances first to Stone and Shi and takes a deep breath, letting it exhale slowly. She simply concentrates on the figure that Cassandra has pointed to. She takes a deep breath and prepares to fire. There is searing pain in her chest as she pulls back the bowstring, but the endorphins have numbed her to it.

Since she's already up on the wall and has a loaded sling in her hand, why not try to nail one of them in the head. She has a limited range of motion, and can't do a complete follow through with all the people that are crowding the wall (she might sock one of them in the face by accident instead) so it's all to easy for her shot to go wide. Paired with the wide eyed alarm present in her slack-jawed face when she once more looks up towards the sky, she's not doing too hot. "Blackwood!" she cries out, her alto momentarily a piercing soprano. "Sully!" It's not exactly that she's trying to divert their attention, really; it's more of her wanting to know that it's not just her seeing it.

As Cameron's bullet takes down the grounder he was shooting, he nods his head, satisfied. A quick glance over to Morgan, then he's ducking back behind cover to take careful aim on the next guy on his hitlist.

Shi is getting very tired of missing, but as long as it seems the one attacker she can see well is aiming towards the top of the nest, well, she tries to at least keep making him miss by throwing bullets pass the face, neck and crouch, because well, you never know where missing bullets, really miss.

Stone is trying to fall into the zone of focus, keeping a moving bead on Sonia, even rising up to one knee above his cover to keep proper tracking on her. He _does_ manage to murmur out without shaking his stance. "Cass. After I shoot, yell out Sonia's description to the people below if you can. Everything you can, the braids, the heavy armor, all of it. I doubt one bullet's gonna put her down."

Silver tries to shut down the part of her brain that's panicking, letting her hands do what they're supposed to do as she snaps the crossbow bolt in Quinn's arm, quickly pushing it out and bandaging around it. She eyes the other one in her chest, then shakes her head, simply wrapping some spare material around the shaft. "Too dangerous to treat that here and now," she offers in brief explanation. "Live long enough to let me take it out without nicking a lung." And with those words of encouragement, she's moving back to better cover.

Britt curses under her breath when her arrow hits the wall instead of the rifleman. And now he's finally figured out who was shooting at him and is taking potshots back. The bullet glances off a tree and is further slowed by her vest, but Britt still lets out a sharp hiss at the sting of the wound. Not so different from an arrow. "<In Trigedasleng> You all right?" her friend calls over to her, concerned. "<In Trigedasleng> Yeah, fine," she grits back, annoyed at her poor aim. She takes aim at the troublesome Skaikru once again.

Max makes his way back down toward the ground and off the wall, falling back to take stock of the battle, first to those who might require treatment, and then toward the wall itself, once more scanning for breaches. It's only then that he notices the fire in the sky and for a moment he merely stands there on the ground staring up at it. There's a mixture of emotions that flicker across his features for just a moment, and then the immediacy of their current situation draws him back to the fight at hand.

Damn it. Missed again. Morgan was doing so much better against the other Grounders. He must be doing something wrong. Hearing his name gets him to look over and flicks a look into the sky again. Yeah, they can't do anything right. Moving to the side a bit to get a better shot, he takes aim on another Grounder since Cam took down the one shooting at him.

"I don't plan on dying." Quinn replies to Silver, remaining still while the girl works on the wounds, gritting her teeth against the pain. As soon as she's mostly cleared she moves back into a position to fire, still very aware of the fact she's sporting an arrow in her chest. She doesn't bother with hiding behind cover this time, trying to instead position herself for a clearer shot at one of the grounders.

Grey's look upwards throws off his shot — well, that and the dodginess of the Grounder — and the bullet cracks down-range to bury itself in ground rather than Grounder. "Someone tell me what's going on up there… I can't look up." Instead of switching targets again, he tracks his current one, an archer that he's sure isn't familiar, "And someone's gonna have to take those climbers too, or things are gonna get sticky."

Tink tries to hit the Grounder that's in her sights but she's distracted by the mushroom made of fire, a blaze expanding outward from its 'front' and a trail of fire following behind. She pauses as she looks up and asks Cole, "What the hell is that?" She for a moment forgets she's standing there in a battlefield with people getting shot around her.

Silas is quiet as he carefully listens- furrowing his brows as he tries to focus on the sounds of enemy movement coming closer through the sound of gunfire. Silas looks over his shoulder, his brows furrowing as he looks back to catch a bit more of descent of the ball of fire. "…Eden.." he lets out in a bit of a gasp as his eyes widen as they trail its slow fall. He blinks as the sounds of gunfire draw him back to reality and he's pressing himself against the wall again. Silas looks over towards Cole, staring at him with furrowed brows as he speaks up. "Hey— Cole." He pauses for a moment as the thud of an arrow slamming into the wall nearby cuts him off for a moment before he continues. "I just wanna say, sorry for being an insufferable dick. I don't feel like dying on bad terms." he says before Grey's question catches his ear and he looks over. "Something else is falling." he says, firmly before he goes back to waiting to gank someone with Cole.

Gideon kom Trikru's lessons were not for naught. Cassandra has been practicing near every day despite her head injury, firing arrows at Cole's wall (no one tell him, please) and rigorously training even after she nearly sliced her hand doing so. When finally her third arrow flies true and finds its mark, propelling itself with a satisfying gush of blood at the side of the Grounder's neck — which just an inch to the left or a steadier breeze would have taken out her windpipe — she smirks. So much for her pacifistic, anti-murder ways. "That was for Quinn, you hairy rat-bastard," she informs her from afar in a low, sharp tone of voice, but then is brought back into focus by Stone's orders. People say that she can't take them… okay, most of the time she can't… but she nods her head sharply right now.

"BLACK BRAIDS. WHITE SKIN. CRAZY BLACK EYE MAKE-UP. BUTCH BROAD. SONIA KOM TRIKRU UP AHEAD," Cassandra shouts in swift staccato, for all around the Dropship to hear. "TWELVE O'CLOCK." And fortunately for everyone trying to follow her directions, she now sees that her prior mark has been distracted enough that she's no longer shooting at her friend — so she takes aim at whom she should actually be shooting instead. Diverting the aim of her bow, another arrow is nocked, and she lets fly at Sonia kom Trikru.

Cole finally starts to look up, giving himself a quick moment to see what everyone else has been talking about. His eyes bulge a bit, apparently taken aback by the enormity of it. "Holy fuck…" he utters. "I…no fuckin clue. I mean…kinda can't think about that right now, Pix." he replies to Tink, doing his best to stay the hell out of arrow range, continuing to duck down under the wall from his spot on the walk. "They're gonna be on us, soon!" he calls out, seeing the Grounders starting to bring ladders up to the wall. "Get ready!"

Several of the archers and crossbowpeople look up as the blaze spreads across the sky, their weapons drooping and their attention caught up by the pyrotechnic display. Sonia and her melee fighters with their climbing tools do not slow, however, keeping their attention down. Sonia herself is in amidst a group of fighters with heavier armor, her shoulders bulked up and a metal helmet protecting her head — although she does indeed have black braids dancing behind her helmet and ash smeared around her eyes.

<FS3> Ruth rolls Alertness: Success.

They were shouting up above her - and Lark hisses as a ladder strikes the wall nearish her.

"They're coming over the walls!" she calls out - although… she pauses a moment. A blossom of fire in the sky. The only thing in space was… "The Ark! Just gotta hold out until that dropship…" she begins, although the discrepancies in that statement cause her pause.

Alison glances back to the sky, then she grits her teeth scowling. The waiting, watching arrows fly past. "The Ark is landing." Crashing, really. The red haired tech grips her spear two handed, "The Ark is coming down."

As the flaming form descends it begins to spread… to break up? Pieces, some small, some large, tumble free, most of them falling… faster? Indeed, that bloom of flame continues to burn at the head of the shape, and the small chunks breaking free fall ahead of the main shape. And then a larger chunk breaks off, and it too slows, although it wobbles and spins, and then twists out of control, spiraling off trailing a plume of fire. Another large chunk breaks free, its descent more controlled than the last.

Cass' original pointing didn't do much to narrow down the field of potential targets so Morgan didn't even try after a quick look. Now, when she's describing what the woman looks like, he takes another look. Her. It must be her. "Cam! That's her!" He's lining up to take another shot her as well.

Silver looks up just in time to see the Ark start to break apart, breath catching. "Son of a bitch," she breathes, pulling back a little bit further as the grounders get closer to the wall. They're a lot scarier when they're so close you can hear them over the gunfire.

Cameron finally looks up, and briefly pauses, staring, shouting over to his side, "Eden preserve us, the hell? — That's got to be the Ark, Morgan." Cuz that's waaaay not a dropship and what else can it be? But. At the moment, not dying is higher on Cameron's list then freaking out about his dad. Then he hears Morgan, and he blinks, and he takes aim as well.

<FS3> Ariadne rolls Alertness: Good Success.

Ariadne catches sight of the ark heading for the ground and she cries out in alarm. "Guys! Look! It's the ark! It's falling!" She looks toward Shi and there is mixed feelings in her eyes. Sure they'll bring help, but they'll also bring pasts, and there's no guarantee that they won't be treated poorly because of their past crimes. She looks toward Stone and says, quieter this time, "The ark is falling." Then she shakes her head and pulls an arrow from the quiver and fires off an arrow at Sonia once again.

"Fuck.." Quinn mutters to herself, although she remains pretty well focused on trying to pick off Grounders from her position. She doesn't look up, she could care less right now. Those coming down can't do a damn thing to help her, and like she said…she has no plans to die.

Shi shifts again, but as her shot makes contact, she takes a deep breath and then looks over her shoulder again, her eyes pick up the fireball and they widen slowly, and then she shudders before she turns back to scene below, once more trying to pick off those who are shooting the areas. But her whisper gets to those close. "Let's.. worry about that later, we need to get out of this alive first…"

Max continues to wait on the ground for those who might come over the wall, or their own who fall back for bandaging. He's aware of the fire in the sky, but for the moment his entire focus is on the battle at hand, the Grounders that he can hear outside. He looks to Quinn, keeping an eye on her condition, but Silver is closer, and he doesn't immediately go running over, at least for now. He grumbles something under his breath but it's inaudible.

Another of Britt's arrows thunks into the wall harmlessly. Hearing her hissed oath, her friend smirks. "<In Trigedasleng> That what you're teaching those kids in Polis?" Britt's eyes narrow, but she doesn't take her eyes off her target. "<In Trigedasleng> Ass," she mumbles, and shoots again. Focused on her opponent, she doesn't pay any heed to the pyrotechnics in the sky. They pale in comparison to the ones just recently going off on the ground anyway.

"THE ONE IN HEAVY ARMOR BLEEDING FROM HER THROAT IS SONIA!!!" Stone's horrible raw voice roars out trailing a truly satisfying shot that doesn't drop the tough bitch, but probably tickled an awful lot. It's all the focus he spares though for that, hoping his addition helps more target her. For meanwhile, the giant sniper is slipping back down to his cover of rim of the perch, and taking aim on the mine nearest to Sonia's heavy-clad group.

<FS3> Cassandra rolls Resolve: Good Success.

Panic starts to set back into Cassandra's gaze and posture. Lest anyone forget: she is not an ex-C. She is not a hero. She is not combat trained. She's a girl who (supposedly?) boned the Earth Skills teacher, lied a lot to get her daddy and sugar-daddy floated, and has spent most of her time on Earth avoiding trouble and danger to save her own skin, even while others volunteered theirs. But it's not the Grounders throwing grappling hooks to the top of the wall that has her freezing — it's the shouts from the Delinquents around her, that the Ark is coming down. Stone takes over her duties as a spotter and for now, her mind blanks and she just stops thinking. She continues shooting, because what else can she do? An arrow finds its mark in Sonia's leg. Okay. It doesn't actually bleed her, but Cass will figure out the concept of armour later. She nocks another arrow in her bowstring and fires, numbly, one after the other, and is just going to keep doing so until either the bitch falls or someone snaps her out of her auto-pilot, fight-or-flight, hazy adrenaline daze. Underneath Silas' finely-crafted armour, she's sweating.

Tink takes another shot and misses, swearing under her breath, "Fucking stand still so I can shoot you." She really needs more rifle practice. And then someone shouts out it's the Ark that is falling. That gets her attention as she looks up to see what they're talking about and her jaw drops at the pyrotechnical display that's going on in the sky, "That's…that's not a drop ship Cole…"

<FS3> Ruth rolls Resolve-1: Success.

Ruth's eyes don't leave the sky, even with the looming threat of death by grounder. "That's the Ark," she croaks in shock, her fingers brushing along her jawline to soothe a bruise that's starting to form. Who knows where she got it from? Likely from the ascent; there are too many fighting right now to tell. "Shit. That's… without them, we can't do any of this. This is just the start." A short laugh is voiced, flat and unamused. "Shit. Alright. That's… how this is going to go. Okay." With the approach of the grounders towards the wall, an enlivened Ruth stows her sling and retrieves her knife from her belt. It's about to get funky.

The melee Grounders are getting closer, much closer. In fact, the first grapnel comes whirling up at the wall, only to fall just short, the thrower getting a shove from his nearest fellow and running to pick the hook up. However, they're also crossing into last-ditch territory…

Sonia takes a pair of shots, staggering and nearly falling before she continues forward, now behind the first rank of attackers. Her blood is bright on her chest and abdomen, pouring from neck and stomach, but it is not the arterial pulse of a deadly bleeder.

Wait, what? Grey's half-turning back to the news being spread behind him, "The what?" And then a crossbow bolt comes whipping past his nose, and he flinches back, his shot missing his target quite completely. "The Ark?" And then the first grapnel comes all too close, and Grey shakes his head, "Oh hell no." And his thumb moves, flicking the fire selector switch in a move that he expressly forbade any of his students from making, setting it to burst fire.

Huddling up against his bit of wall, Silas finds himself ignoring the words of the falling ark as he grumbles to his, "I'm gonna kill them, I'm gonna kill them, I'm gonna kill them…" with furrowed brows and bared teeth as both of his hands come along to fasten onto the handle of his sword. And then something seems to kinda just let loose inside Silas as he begins yelling, "COME ON ALREADY!" he screams, as his brows dip. "GET OVER HERE ALREADY! I'LL KILL YOU, AND THEN I'LL KILL YOUR FUCKIN' FAMILY, AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TREE FUCKS WHOSE NAME STARTS WITH THE LETTER S!" After that's done, Silas is tapping the the back of his blade against his shoulder anxiously- a mix of anxiousness and anger making up his expression as he shouts again, "I WONT LET YOU FUCKING KILL MY FRIENDS, YOU MUD SLURPING CUNTS!"

"Kinda busy right now, Tink!" Cole says over at the other techie, trying push whatever ladders are clanking against the wall or pulling free any grapples as he sees them. There's not much else he can do. "No, not my wall you arseholes! Not today, not ever!" It's his wall, goddamnit. It's his baby, and he's put far too much time and work to see it all pulled down at once. No siree, he's going to defend his work if it kills. Which it probably will.

More and more pieces of the colossal object in the sky begin to break off as it… continues to slow its descent. It should be impossible, but it's happening right before the eyes of… well… just about everyone in Trikru territory, and beyond. Several of those pieces are scattering far and wide, and some of them are large. Some of those large pieces are slowing also, now with their own plumes of fire. What was once the main piece is now very little bigger than some of the larger pieces scattering about as gravity, friction, winds, and physics take them. That main piece, however… continues to grow in size, looking like it might come down somewhere close to the middle of Trikru territory, somewhere between Tondc and the Delinquent camp."

Another tremendous explosion rips through the Grounder lines, much, much, much closer to the wall. In fact, the wall-walk itself shakes with the force of the explosion.

"SILAS! WATCH YOUR FILTHY FUDGIN' MOUTH MAN!" Yeah the giant four stories up heard that and apparently felt he needed to chide him about it in an equally loud roar. And yeah, it's likely just gonna get Silas and half the other Delinquents shouting obscenities up at _him_, but it's the principal of the thing. The Boy Scout's tarnished, but he's not gone yet apparently. And he just needed to take that extra breath to take aim and steadily pull the trigger. CRACKABOOOOOM!!!! Another hydrazine mine goes off in a brilliant burst of Cole's ingenuity in action. Another gigantic fireball right next to Sonia's group, a few of them going down bloody and cut from flying fragments and burned by the flames. But most important is Sonia, who after taking some bullets, caught a fragment hard enough to the head to crack her helmet probably, dropping her out flat. "Crap, she's still moving after that!!!" He exclaims as she's starting to get up. Gritting his teeth, he scans over the hopeless odds of the field, glances up at the fire in the sky he was trying his damnedest to ignore, and focuses attentions again on finding next target.

There's a quiet whoop of victory when she lands the shot on the grounder, then Quinn's shifting her focus towards another target. The ex-C is at least staying focused on what she's doing, eyes squeezing shut when the next mine explodes. But this time she doesn't duck back down, just opens her eyes once more to aim.

Silver actually yelps when there's an explosion closer to the wall. Maybe someone will mistake it for a war cry. Maybe. From the base of the wall, she watches the fighters above, checking for any injured badly enough to stop fighting. "Shout out if someone's down!" she calls up. Because no way is she running up there for a closer look unless she has to. Nope. There are sharp objects up there.

Shi shakes her head at the sounds, it's getting harder to tell what is what, but she stays on her side of the perch and keeps an eye on things, but as more move into view, she curses under her breath before she calls out. "More archers joining the lines…"

"Fuck!" Ariadne curses as the arrow misses yet again. She's growling as she says, "I'm just wasting arrows!" She kicks the drop ship wall once again, and then hops a few times as she stubs a toe while doing it. The new archers draw her attention and she takes aim at one of them randomly. Hell, she may as well keep trying. If they lose she won't need the arrows anyway.

Max moves toward the wall, pulling himself up somewhere near Quinn so that he can help start taking off fingers if and when the Grounders start coming over it. It may also be to keep an eye on her just a little bit. He remains as behind cover as he can, focusing on the wall and those along it, one knife in his hand and the other close by.

Morgan smiles grimly as he hits Sonia again. They might not make it through this but he's determined to make sure that she doesn't either. She started all this and doesn't get to live to see what happens. Oh so gently, he squeezes the trigger for another shot.

"I'll send them down to you if it comes to tha-a-at!" Ruth calls down to Silver, her voice gaining a nervous tremor when the wall walk shudders with the force of the explosion. The sapling she's currently affixed to is not going to be freed from her clutches anytime soon, it seems. "Will this wall hold?" she shouts in earnest to those close by.

Cameron flinches at the second bomb goes off, ducking behind cover to breath for a moment, a self-satisfied grin on his face as his bullet took that bitch Sonia out. When he perks up to look for a new target, and sees she isn't taken out, "I hate that woman." he hisses coldly, but he turns his gun at someone else, because again, someone shot at Morgan. This is intolerable. Don't they know the rules? His boyfriend is off limits

The Ark. The Ark was falling.

That thought was in the back of Lark's mind, shouted by some of the other Delinquents. It had come to that. Someone had brought it out of the sky. They were all that was left. And they were dying.

A breath in, a breath out. Aim - fire - just like practice. Push them back into the trees, right? Lark starts backing down the path of the wall as she goes. They would be over it soon.

Tink makes a sound of surprise as a crossbow bolt grazes over her shoulder, just barely missing her. She raises her rifle and takes a shot at her attacker, looking almost green as she hits him in the chest. It's the first time in the universe Tink has ever wounded another individual. While she knows that it's us or them, she still feels a little sick to her stomach when Quinn finishes the grounder off with a much better shot.

Britt's arrow finally finds its mark, taking the Skaikru youth in the cheek, and yet the bugger is still standing. "<In Trigedasleng> Fuck me, the kid just won't go down." Her words about the human pincushion are equal part aggravation and admiration. Her friend grunts and says. "<In Trigedasleng> They aren't pushovers, I'll give them that. What the hell is that? More dropships?" Only then does Britt finally notice the falling Ark. "<In Trigedasleng> No idea. Whatever it is — can't be good." But right now she can't worry about that. She draws another arrow.

Grey grabs the edge of the parapet as the platform beneath him sways and shakes, "Holy shit… those things ain't gonna to blow us up, are they?" Still, he's chuckling when he says it. Steadying the barrel of the rifle again, he leans forward slightly, spraying three bullets at one of the heavily-armored Grounders picking himself up from the mine's explosion. At least he clips the guy… or is it a girl? Hard to tell under that much armor.

Sonia takes fire from a wide variety of weapons, her armor soaking some of it, but other bullets getting through. She staggers, is knocked down by the explosion, and pulls herself slowly to her feet again, her helmet knocked askew and showing the stark, naked hatred on her bloody face. She gives a wild scream and charges forward again, although her movements are slowed and awkward as her limbs refuse to move as she wills them to.

The focusing of fire on Sonia actually means a slackening of fire on the rest of the assault, and it surges forward, ladders and grapnels going up. A few of them are thrown down again by Cole and others, but there are more assaulters than defenders on every stretch of the wall, and the Grounders begin to climb.

Behind the second wave comes a third, mixed archers and melee fighters, rushing toward the wall with a few of them stopping to let off shots.

Ark falling? Silas ain't got no time for that. He's furrowing his brows as he bangs the flat of his sword against the wall, sneering as he quietly listens and waits for the grounders to climb and make it up to him. Stones yell seems to fall on deaf ears as Silas bellows out again, "I'LL CHOP DOWN YOUR TREES AND SALT YOUR FIELDS YOU TWATS! I'M GOING TO SACK YOU SO HARD THE ROMANS WILL FUCKIN' BLUSH!" he yells as he lets out a heavy breath, "I won't let my people die here!" he growls as he watches a ladder come up and slam against the wall in front of him, looking to his sides as he sees a few others go up- one near Cole as he pushes it down. Silas looks over to the ladder in front of himself and grabs the side as he pushes it forward and back, "Stay fucking down!" he says as he looks over to a Grounder coming up and beginning to scale up via a rope on Coles side. Silas looks over to the man in question as shouts, "Cole! Your right!" as he begins to head off left to another ladder, getting ready to swing as the Grounder begins to poke his head up.

Cassandra has one job, and if anyone were to ask her now, in the heat of battle, where plans become realities laid before your eyes — it is a stupid job. She isn't even sure why she's shooting at Sonia now, and even feels a pang of guilt as the woman is knocked down, only to rise up with a blood-curdling scream and charge forward again. In another lifetime, these two could have been friends, honey-badger women born to two very different bodies, roles and nations. The dusky-skinned delinquent's expression is queasy, gaining pallor — she really, as it happens, does not want to kill this woman… but that's her job. It's her only job. "Sonia kom Trikru!" she shouts down to the woman below. "Stand down! We don't want to hurt you!" Even as she says it, though, she nocks another arrow into her bow, aiming it down at the Grounder leader's chest to tighten her sparse arm-muscles and fire yet again. She hopes the woman's armour will absorb the blow, when knocked down. Maybe this time she'll stay down. Maybe then they can talk.

Cole has able to get rid of one or two grappling hooks and ladders, but it wasn't much. At best, it was a delaying tactic. "They're on the wall! Cut'em the fuck down! Don't let them into the camp!" Epoch is gripped with a renewed energy. There was a point where the mechanic was afraid that he wouldn't be able to really commit to this, be able to really deal with enormity of it all. The prevailing theory of fight or flight, and it's really only when you encounter it for the first time is when you realize which one you really are. You're either a coward or you face the fire. And for once, Cole doesn't flinch. He'll deal with mental scars later when the images of explosions from bombs he build killed more than a couple people, by his hand. Doesn't matter. The sword made by Que is lifted and thrust downward, trying to jam the attack back onto the ground.

<COMBAT> Delinquent2 has been KO'd!

<COMBAT> Quinn spends a luck point to keep fighting!

The arrow to the hand nearly causes Quinn to drop the rifle she's been holding, and it's bad enough that she once more ducks for cover, glaring at the arrow as though it personally has offended her beyond all human recognition. But she's not out…well, not out of the fight entirely, just for the time being until she can get the big damn arrow out of her hand.

Silas runs by as he raises his sword overhead somewhat, lowering his chin as he takes in a sharp breath before lets out a bellowing roar as he runs by and goes in for a swing. The Grounder upon the ladder leans back somewhat, avoiding Silas' cleave to the face and instead earning a light cut to the arm as Silas moves by- slamming a foot into the ground to turn around on his heels and watch as the Grounder manages to get up and onto the wall. "Just take the blade, man… Death is sweet and quick." Hoping to take the initiative, Silas bares his teeth and lets out a roar again as he rushes forward and goes to attack him or her.

Shi shifts slightly and that is all it takes for her to miss, the tiny pale girl closes her eyes for a moment, not long but enough to try and refocus. It's clear if Stone had not taken her on the Water Run(tm), she would be a freaking mess right now, but after a moment, those tiny shoulders are squared again and she leans back down into position, this time she aims much more carefully at the closer Archer.

Max crouches down next to Quinn when she gets hit and takes a hold of her arm as soon as she's behind cover. "This is going to hurt," he says steadily, and gets the crossbow bolt out of her hand and begins to wrap it up as quickly as he can before any of the Grounders come up on them. He works with deft fingers, wrapping, tying off, and briefly checking that the treating of the wounds that Silver had done was still holding.

As more and more pieces break off from the descending space station, the first of the 'smaller' sections still large enough to survive reentry being to strike the ground. They crater in, but do not explode like the dropship did, hitting home with kinetic energy alone. The largest of the pieces continue to slow their descent in blazes of flame, although one chunk, somewhere to the south, runs out of fuel, and tumbles the rest of the way to the ground without its protective deceleration. The main section continues to grow… it looks like it won't quite make it to Tondc… but it could still hit anywhere between there and the Delinquent camp.

<FS3> Ruth rolls Resolve: Success.

Ruth is driven by desperation, her attempt at a slash over the wall severely hampered by the fact that she refuses to relinquish hold on one of the saplings keeping it together. "Oo-o-oh no," she wheezes, her fingers flexing about the handle of her grounder-looted knife as the masked figure all too easily dodges her attempts and keeps climbing. She scrambles back and over, crying out with growled frustration when her midsection is jostled through the jerkin she secured so tightly earlier in the afternoon. "Help me down! I'm not doing any good up here!"

Seeing the Grounders climbing the wall, Morgan takes aim at one. The angle is bad though and he misses. Since an arrow whizzed by his head, he looks around for the archer and has a new target once he's found.

A breath in, hold for four seconds, a breath out, hold for four seconds.

Where Lark's mind was, it wasn't here in the present. As Grounders start to swarm the walls, she couldn't… pay attention to the fact that her death was likely imminent. But she could pay attention to her aiming. A round firing, tearing against the neck of one of the grounders. An arrow comes, and she ducks at the last moment - that was unnecessary, though. It hits the wall beneath her position. Get the ones holding melee weapons. The bow people would continue to shoot, but those would come in.

And they were in. From her position, she fires down at one wielding a spear, fighting the urge to vomit.

Silver watches the Ark break apart in the background, unable to avoid seeing it as she watches up on the wall. "Please don't land on anyone," she winces. "Not if we survive this…"

"Eden! They're coming up!" And with Morgan firing, Cam lets his rifle swing behind his back, lifting up his sword and attacking the nearest grounder. Since he's better at this, he darts away from Morgan to go get 'im.

Stone rises up again out of cover, intent on getting a clear as possible shot on the mine he's aiming at. One perfectly lined up for the group of archers and melee that just entered the fray further back. ASPLODEY SOUND!!!! Another gigantic fireball, this one timed well to do terrible damage in their ranks, throwing bodies everywhere, though they all seem unfortunately to still be moving. They build these damned Grounders TOUGH! "Gah. Last mine in this quadrant! Keep an eye out for overruns and other sections." Stone's murmuring to his sniper perch companions, grimacing as he catches sight once more for the ragged, but still severely scary Sonia rushing the wall. He stays out of his cover for the lining up of the shot, using his height for angle on her, gritting his teeth with focus.

Tink feels another arrow pass by as the young woman's luck seems to hold out. She takes careful aim this time and then gets off a shot that hits the grounder in the arm. It's a solid shot and she murmurs, "Yes!" As she tries her best not to look at the sky as the Ark falls down around them.

Britt nocks an arrow and draws the string back to her ear. An instant after loosing it, the Skaikru's return fire hits her in the head with the force of a club. It knocks her flat on her ass, and she lets out a pitiful groan as she clutches at her bleeding face, writhing on the ground. Stunned, but conscious. Barely. "<In Trigedasleng> Britt!" her friend Erson calls, loosing an arrow of his own before rushing to her side to check on her.

Ariadne misses yet again. "Dammit!" She exclaims and continues the volley of arrows, unwilling to give up quite yet. She watches the ark's descent from the corner of her eye and she mutters to Shi and Stone, "If that fucking ark comes down on top of us…." Death, basically.

Grey pumps out another three quick shots at the Grounder swarming up the ladder in front of him, and then he sweeps his rifle down and away, cursing under his breath again, "Shit, fuck, damn… stupid… stupid… Grey…" Reaching up over his shoulder with a wince, he snaps the long metal rod free of its holster, whipping it out to his right in an ingrained motion that makes a whole lot more sense with an extendable shock baton than it does with a club. "Okay asshole, now we dance."

Cassandra might just have shot at Sonia kom Trikru, might just have entertained her delusions of being able to talk the black-braided bitch down, but when Quinn goes down, so does her bow. "QUINN!" shouts the selfish delinquent, who weeks prior, cared for nobody other than herself. Her lips peel back with fright, but when she sees that Max is tending to her friend as is, she turns her hazy eyes back to the battlefield. She's scanning, searching for… something. Someone? Beside her, Stone can very well see her shaking, and it's not just out of terror — even in the heat of combat, she is actually fidgeting, nervous. She tries to steady her arm just about enough to shoot at her one target again, because there is nothing she can do about Quinn right now, nor about the Ark coming down, or anything else that's on her mind. She can only do what she said she'll do.

Cole can feel the bite of his sword connect with that jabbing thrust downward. Epoch finds itself bloodied for the first time. And while he can't push the man completely off the wall, he'll have for giving him a decent wound on the neck. No fear now, he's sdden battle, and now he's a part of it. And the lessons Kai had been giving him, how to shoot, how to fight, they're remembered. They might just keep him alive. There's roar of challenge and he comes back at the Grounder, griping the unique looking weapon his hands before swinging it in arc, practically leaping across the wall walk at him. From hell's heart, one would suppose.

All around the camp, Grounders are reaching the top of the wall. Another mine goes off, and another. The traps have lamed dozens of Grounders trying to avoid the mines, and have funneled dozens more into the mines themselves. The Delinquents semi-accurate fire has dropped dozens more, but they're still coming in their masses.

Alison watches, briefly stunned by the deceleration of the parts. They might survive? Her parents might make it. She rushes up to the wall distracted by the Ark's descent, only there does she recall she might not. "Die you stupid evil savages! Look you home is destroyed because attacked us. Die, die." She shrieks, then starts to stab, and dodge. "Tell your ancestors you died for nothing, you failed and you were stupid!"

As Cameron stabs his sword into the grounder's chest, ripping it free with a bloody wound as he or she moves to try to attack, let's say John Doe, he also flinches when the hard pang of an arrow slams into the edge of the wall right next to him, "Morgan! Cover me from whoever is shooting at me and I'll watch your back!" He calls out.

Tink takes aim at the grounder she's got her eye on again, just as he releases his arrow at her. The shock of getting hit, just a knick really, but it's enough to throw her shot off and she misses. She cries out and lowers her gun for a moment, "You hit…you fucking shot my neck." She looks really pissed off and raises her weapon to start aiming again. This pixie is going to get this ground if it's the last thing she does.

Morgan smiles as the archer who was shooting at him drops. He's been keeping an eye on Sonia but now she's decided to try to get into the camp, she's become an even larger target. "Cam, take cover for a minute. I've got Sonia in my sights."

There's a very quickly bitten back sound when that arrow is pulled out of her hand, but Quinn just waits for it to be wrapped up, then she swings the rifle onto her back before she grabs Max for a quick kiss. Luck, right? Or maybe just the last thing she'll get to enjoy before she's on her feet again, this time reaching for her sword as she heads to try and get to the top of the walls and the Grounders there.

Ruth's descent from the wall is more of a tumble as she's slashed at with the sword of a grounder with impressive reach. It's hard to tell whether her fall was fortunate or not - on one hand, she ends up sprawled on the ground with a wheeze that signifies the air has briefly escaped her lungs. On the other one, the blunt of that sword found itself meeting leather rather than flesh. She scrambles away on three limbs, one arm pressed snug over her midsection. It's impossible to tell at current if she's resumed bleeding, but it's bloody likely. She can't find the air to speak. At least she's off the shuddering wall.

Breathing heavily as he charges, Silas sucks in a breath as he lets out a bellowing shout that's cut off as the Grounder he's attacking thrusts the end of his club into Silas' stomach and sticks a foot out to trip the young man. Silas falls with a thud, hitting the ground and gasping in a breath full of hair that was punched out of him as he grunts and rolls to dodge a club slamming down into the floor of the wall next to him, following the role with a swing of his sword that cuts through but is stopped by his attackers armor. Silas rolls away before he scrambles to his feet and takes up position once again, panting heavily with furrowed brows as he glares with a toothy sneer before he growls as he goes in for another two-handed swing.

Aiming aiming and then the grounder goes down and Shi simply closes her eyes for another moment, she doesn't curse enough to upset Stone, but she is under her breath as she takes the time for not aiming to move her eyes around the grounds again, picking up anything she might have been missing before, and then turns back to take aim at another Archer.

Max winces as he isn't able to get the wound treated as well as he'd like, but is distracted momentarily by the kiss. He grabs Quinn's elbow and holds on for just a moment longer to return the kiss in kind before they both begin moving toward the Grounders scaling the walls, swapping out bandages for his knife and attacking the first one to get within arm's reach.

Ariadne lets out a satisfied "Woop!" as the grounder she fired at goes down. She elbows Shi and gives her a grin. Yes, she's celebrating someone's potential death. She takes a breath and says, "I was wondering if the dam bow was broken!" Then she takes aim again, and prepares to fire into the grounders pouring over the wall.

Cole jerks to the side, letting the spear whiff over him where his head was. Epoch does much the same, racking against the other's weapon. Nobody gains any ground, and the mechanic doesn't even notice the fact that Lark is taking pot shots at the other. Doesn't matter, he's found his groove for the moment, and he's not going to lose it. Stutter step forward, feinting a stab, but the weapon moves, jerking back and slicing at horizontal angle, to spill the other entrails over the wall walk.

Silver keeps an eye on the fight above, trying to sort the shouts of combat from the sounds of pain and injury, watching for the first sight of grounders making it over the wall. "They're on the wall!" she calls back to the dropship and the non-combatants there.

One huge chunk of the Ark… for that's what it is falling through the sky, goes spiraling off to the north, and another falls relatively close by to the north, each of them slowing before they hit the ground. And the main section? It slows further and further, passing over the Delinquent camp with a roar, over Indra's war camp further east, and then impacts between there and Tondc. The impact is muted, however, more a blast of fire than the fist of god striking the earth. Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom.

A round fired - a round hit the Grounder that she was targeting, Lark noticing the 'thump' of the bullet against the helmet. Hopefully, that would knock them off balance long enough for… someone else to handle. Drawing into a crouch, and hugging the wall a little more thoroughly - arrows - arrows seemed to be most of the problem. When the aim on the speargrounder gets fuzzy, she targets another with a weapon inside the walls, hissing as she draws a bead on him.

Stone's got his bead, he's tracking her perfectly, he's inhaling and squeezing the trigger gently. BOOM HEADSHOT! But wait! Sonia is _STILL_ moving! She turned just slighty at the last second, the bullet cutting across one eye and out a cheekbone. A burst of blood, but no melon-ball of asploding heads. "Fudgebuckets! That witch is tough!" He snarls out before glancing over to see the look on Cass's face, leaving him murmuring out her way as comforting as his ragged gravel-voice can be, knowing who she's looking for. "He maybe is inside too injured to join the fight, Cass. I haven't seen him yet and I've been lookin'." Who the he is isn't mentioned, as the giant's taking up another aim on another Grounder, adding as he does. "Nice shot, hon." To Ari's direction. Then immediately after. "Shi, be ready to help evac Ari if we get overrun and need to get down to the dropship entrance. This is getting hairy." Captain Understatement strikes again.

Sonia disappears behind the wall, leaving Cass to survey the field of battle again and take stock of what is happening. She can't help but grin at the sight of Quinn getting back up to her feet in time for a quick smooch with her guy. Hey: really living, even in the midst of all this, is better than even outright not dying. Her attention doesn't linger for overly long — that would be creepy, and people are still dying. Spotting a spearman firing at Cole, she takes aim again with her bow, letting loose at the Grounder targeting their techie.

<FS3> Shi rolls Alertness: Failure.

That is totally a different feeling, Alison watches the well placed spear tip find a hole in Grounder's throat. It wasn't like the panther, not like the river snake. Her mind struggles to recover, to save some piece of the man in her mind. She steps back, pulling the spear tip. The red head spins about quickly though, taking another target. Her eyes start to water a little, but she presses into the next target.

Grey evidently should have started with the club. Not that he could have reached anyone with it until now. As the big Grounder in his heavy armor comes over the wall, Grey swings the baton like a golf club, right up between the big man's legs. The result is like a tree, if a tree swing an axe into the back of your ribs first. Grey is knocked against the wall, bleeding even through his armor, and struggling back to his feet, but the Grounder falls over the wall and to the ground. Looking around, Grey goes rushing along the wall-walk toward the Grounder attacking Cole as well, moving painfully, but with purpose. "Get 'em off the wall! Hold the wall! Hold the wall!"

The Grounders meet ferocity with ferocity on the walls, but numbers do tell, and several of them are forced back, even toppled over. But there are always more, apparently. Another wave comes from the trees, several archers taking aim at the snipers up on top of the dropship, while a group of Grounders with melee weapons extricate themselves from a nest of tripwires and log traps and push forward. Some of them are young, bright faces wild with bloodlust, fear, or excitement.

"Can't, Morgan!" calls Cameron, as his sword slashes against the Grounder, but the armor deflects any damage. Fortunately, John totally gets him with the spear and takes him out, "One of them got up the wall nearby. But we're clear for now." And he's crouching down and looking over carefully, looking to take aim, and preparing to fire once again. S

Max leaves a long gash along the arm of the Grounder trying to scale the wall in front of him, and when it doesn't suffice to knock the armor-clad sword-wielding attacker back into the crowd, he goes in for another slash, keeping near to Quinn as they fight their way along the wall.

Shi shifted just enough to have the arrow aimed at her to thunk into the nest, this does cause a growl from the tiny girl and she shifts again to bring her rifle up, "They have found the nest range, I can't see anything but bodies over the wall.." She informs Stone, Ari and Cass. Her shifting brings her closer to Ari and she tugs the other girl down behind Stone a bit more before turning and moving to aim again. "Ari, stay down, if we need to move, it will be fast, you need to rest while you can.." Her voice is concerned, even if the other girl is almost twice her size, it's almost like she thinks Ari will listen to her.

When Ari searches for a target she sees an archer with his bow trained at her. She pulls the string back, but then thinks better of it. She ducks behind Stone with a squeak and says, "Sorry! If I get hit again you'll be carrying me out of here!" Maybe not, but they may very well be carrying her down the ladder out of the crow's nest anyway. As Stone dodges the arrow and it clatters to the floor of the drop ship she rests an arm on his shoulder and moves back to the opening with her bow raised.

The grounder Ruth had tried so hard to subdue has been felled by someone else, so Ruth is left catching her breath a few feet from the base of the wall, her fingers splayed over her stomach as though she's about to spew. "Kennedy," she calls out, eyes fretfully scanning the passing faces (some of them not at all friendly) for Silver as she shakily rises.

One down, a million and a thousand fucking more to go. Quinn doesn't let that little thought stick, though. She just turns her attention to the next Grounder, moving forward to try and find another target.

Tink takes a shot to the stomach from this archer that she seems to be in mortal combat with. She feels some satisfaction as her aim is true and she sinks another round into the bastard that is turning her into a pin cushion. She sees Cole take a hit from a grounder and shouts, "Fuck! No!" But then he downs the asshole and she forces herself to focus back on the fight. Trying to edge her way to Cole so she can give him cover while he defends the wall.

"Shout if you need me!" Morgan calls back. Cam needing him takes precedence even over killing Sonia. One of the Grounder arrows flies over his head though he's not the target and then he leans out of the wall to look down at Sonia. Pointing his rifle at her, he meets her eyes before squeezing the trigger and putting a round into her chest. Which doesn't stop her. The bitch is tough, he'll give her that.

"<In Trigedasleng> Stay down," Erson urges Britt as the archer dazedly tries to sit up. He places a strong hand on her shoulder to punctuate the words as he takes stock of the wound on her cheek. It's bleeding profusely, but her head's still attached so that's a bonus. He wads up a piece of cloth and presses it against the gash to staunch the bleeding, eliciting a muted groan. Taking her hand, Erson moves it over top of the cloth. "<In Trigedasleng> Hold here," he tells her, then picks up his bow once more and returns to the fight. Britt is stubborn, though, so almost as soon as Erson's gone back to the line, she's rolling over and pulling herself back up onto her knees. Shit, where's her bow? Everything is slightly out of focus, but she finds the weapon where she'd dropped it. Trying to ignore the burning pain in her face, she leans heavily against the tree and draws a bead on another Skaikru target.

Cole has never felt pain before. Or at least, pain like this. The tip of the spear digs through the armor he wars, plunging into his chest. There's a staggered cry in pain, which only turns to rage. A hand grips around the shaft of the spear that's stabbing him, able to weild Epoch with one hand, holding it by the balanced haft. The shot by Grey helps, and he's not going to say no to the help, but the blade of his sword comes down on the other's hand, severing it from his arm. Which must've been the last thing he needed to do, because the Grounder falls to the ground, off the wall walk. There's a grunt, a look of almost utter fascination, but he manages to pull the spear out of his chest and toss it aside. Ragged breathing, but he's not done, finding another target, going in for another swing.

Silas pants quietly as he stares at the Grounder for a few seconds before he begins to take a few long steps towards his opponent, bringing his sword over as he raises it diagonally overhead and swings it down- only to shallowly cut at his targets hand before he narrowly ducks under a swing from their club and steps away. When Quinn comes around and gets involved, he offers her a genuine smile, "Fuck, for once I'm so happy to see you." he says before the grounder is struck in the chest with an arrow and finally lets out their death throes as they fall back. Quietly, Silas looks over to Quinn as he begins to see her heading off and says, "Kill that bitch." before he turns back and begins to head off in the opposite direction to find a new opponent as well.

"Not a lot of room for people to pull back!" Silver shouts back to Ruth, though she jogs a few steps closer to the embattled wall when she hears her name. She sees people getting hit, but if they can't stop fighting back long enough to get treated, then she's only going to be in the way up on the wall. "I'm watching!"

It's not that Cassandra didn't hear Stone's words — it's that she wasn't listening; these are two different things. He distracts her enough that she misses her shot, but the techie she was defending seems to be doing a good enough job of sticking up for himself. A shiver shakes her arms as she watches Cole cut down his opponent with Epoch in hand, even as he takes a cut in kind, but she has no time to process any of this, because suddenly an arrow is flying at her head. She ducks just in time, biting her lip, and turns her gaze towards the plucky young Grounder shooting at her. "Just remember our deal," she finally answers to Stone. "You made a deal, okay? If you see him…" She hauls her shoulders to one sight, trying to remain behind cover, and cocks her bow diagonally to let another arrow fly, this one at the newest enemy she never asked for.

Grounders fall left or right. Was the wall clear? Lark didn't know. Was there more coming up the wall? Lark didn't know.

What she knew was that her rifle was likely running low on bullets.

Lifting her eyes from the bloodbath on the wall - her eyes track towards Cole briefly, seeing the wound on his chest. Somehow, she had avoided getting hit so far. Twisting around so that she was kneeling against the wall, and using the wall itself to steady her shot, she takes aim at one of the archers as they make themselves apparent. Whispering a silent prayer, she squeezes the trigger.

Stone sees the next wave of archers, and pulls back behind cover again, still leaning out to take a shot at the archer aiming at Cameron, a leg shot that drops them along with other attacks from nearby Delinquents. After a moment, he's scanning the wall ridge for the head he knows is going to pop there, intent on ending that seemingly indestructible advance leader of this battle. Giving it up to the melee people though, he sighs and takes aim on an archer aiming toward them on the sniper perch.

Asher had tried to rest. Honestly, he did. Siver said something like, if you go fight, your heart will explode. Luckily for Asher, he has no heart, so it can't explode. He'd been in the drop ship, trying to ignore the sounds of the battle outside. Finally though, he can't take anymore. Asher grabs a rifle, ducks out of the dropship and rushes to his tent. He comes out about twelve seconds later with his axe on his hip and his sword across his back before running off towards the wall. Asher climbs the ladder, unslings his axe and moves in defend the wall with the others. "Let's fucking do this!" he bellows out. Sure, everyone else probably already did war cries earlier, but he just got here. Yeesh. Stop being so judgmental. He points his axe off in the direction of one of the Grounders climbing the wall and rushes off towards him. He has an axe too. Asher likes symmetry.

Grey can't quite make it to the man fighting Cole fast enough, but as the bloody spear withdraws, he swings his club sideways, slamming it into the back of the man's neck. Along with Cole's own blow, it tumbles the man, and Grey glances to the mechanic a moment, "You okay, Cole? Get some help if you need it, man." Evidently all animosities are set aside in the heat of battle. And then he's looking back to the wall, hustling over to where a Grounder woman is climbing a grapnel and just getting her hand onto the top of the wall.

Alison watches another fall to her pointy stick, and a few of her allies. She shifts back, stepping on a fallen foe to put her in position reach higher on her nest target. For now, she is in the battle, the Ark is no longer a priority. "Just leave, stupid savage.. RUN, or die for nothing but attacking children. No honor for your fallen."

Sonia should really be down on the ground already. One of her eyes is a mess of blood, bone, and less identifiable grisly bits, and she has been pierced time and again by bullets and arrows. Still, she hauls herself onto the wall, raising up her sword and calling, "Jus Drein Jus Daun!" She repeats the phrase, and it begins to spread around the Grounder lines in a harsh chant. And then Morgan and Quinn are coming after her, and she scowls at them through a mask of blood.

So it's a light wound, but Ariadna cheers anyway. Sonia goes down and she gives a satisfied growl, then watches her rise again. "She just won't die!" She says this in frustration and aims for her again with the bow.

"HEY YOU GUUUYYYYYYYYYYYS!"

The Loquacious Lip shows up out of nowhere. Where has he been all this time? Who knows. Probably hiding and trying to figure out why in the holy hell he's not out there with everyone else. He also could've been somewhere trying to talk himself into joining the others. He's always talked a big game and now is the time to actually step up and he's what? Hiding?!?! Hell no!

Besides. Hiders Don't Get Babes.

Anyway, THE LIPTACTULAR LIP makes his arrival known with absolutely no armor whatsoever! He stands tall and proud as he makes his arrival even more known by raising his SKAI-SPEAR into the air as if lightning from Castle Grey's Skull is going to strike him and make him turn into HE-LIP and the DELINQUENTS OF THE ARKVERSE. This is really making no sense whatsoever, is it?

Either way, Lip looks up to his faithful companion. "Peepers! I need eyes! Talk to me!" And the Feralkeet is already flying off in the direction of these combative shenanigans to… keep flying. Away. Far, far away.

"STUPID BIRD!"

Tink feels another arrow move past her neck as she takes another glancing shot off the grounder in her sights. The man is freaking superhero because she keeps unloading bullets and the man is still standing, "What is it going to take to down you?" She sees Cameron hit the same guy and he just keeps going, "Fucking die already!" She takes another shot at the grounder that just won't go down!

Silas marches up as his eyes trail over to Asher who's moving in on the same target. Offering the man a nod he looks back over to the ascending axe grounder as he brings his hands to grasp the handle of his sword. Silas' lags somewhat, his footing staggering somewhat as fatigue is evident on his face- letting Asher go in for his usual destruction, but Silas makes it in time to go in for a stab upon the enemy. "Hey, I'm goin' to go murder some bush bitches." he says, looking over to Asher with a quiet breath, "You headin' my way?" he asks, pulling the sword out from his enemy as he begins to turn and head along over to Sonia and the bulk of the rest of them.

Max continues to attack the grounder attempting to climb over the wall in front of him. He watches as Quinn goes after Sonia, but then quickly turns his attention back to the one in front of him even as arrows go whizzing by dangerously close. He tucks his left arm in against his body, almost reflexively. He'd only just recently taken the bandages off of it, after all. He looks out over the Grounders, seeing only more and more of them. He takes a deep breath and then lets it out again in a whoosh before taking another stab.

"I'm fine. Either I die now or I die later, Grey. And I'd just like this one fuckin time we get along." Cole remarks, realizing this wound is either going to look really fuckin sweet or it's going to bother him for the rest of his days. Probably both. Still, Epoch cuts at air, hitting nothing. But, not going to bother worrying about that. Might as well put the old college try into it, when he literally leaps forward, trying to drive his weapon deep into the Grounder's chest. Cry havoc? Yes, indeed.

Why are there so many of them? Where are they all coming from? Why aren't they all dead yet? Silver hovers at the base of the wall, watching for delinquents who can't keep fighting and trying desperately not to let her nervous system decide that puking is her best chance at survival. It really isn't.

Cameron's bullet hits true, getting the guy good in the leg, but he's lifting another bow to shoot another guy, so jeez. At least Morgan took care of — he didn't! Staring wide eyed at Sonia, "Is that her?! How holey is she?!" But there's enough people trying to take her down, it'd be a waste of bullets, so he takes aim down at one of the bowmen again.

When new grounders climb the wall… Ruth is practically already gone, in all honesty. With one last apologetic grimace spared Silver, she's moving back at a rather fast pace to the dropship to hold the fort down there. She's not feeling too hot… but this certainly doesn't mean she's retreating or anything like that. No, she's just biding her time or something. Whether or not she's successful at convincing herself that this is a Morally Good Decision(tm) is another story.

"Will you not fucking DIE!?" Quinn growls when she misses, but Morgan lands a wound and the bitch still gets back up. For all the differences she sometimes has with Morgan, and all the agreements sometimes too, one thing she knows right now is that she's not walking away until one or the both of them knock Sonia down for good.

Asher's axe connects on his first strike of the day. It lands with a meaty thunk into the same Grounder that Silas was going after. After Silas's sword enters the same Grounder, Asher plants his foot on the grounder and rips his axe out with a spray of blood. Whoever landed the killing blow, said Grounder falls to the ground with a thud. Asher nods to Silas, slips his Axe to his belt and slings his rifle and takes aim, "Her dance card's pretty full…Best to shoot a bitch in the back…" Of course, Asher barely knows how to shoot his gun, so it's probably a lot of talk.

Once Sonia makes it over the wall, Morgan slings his rifle over his shoulder and pulls his sword and approaches her. "Blood demands blood." he agrees grimly. He's known that since he was 13 when they floated his father. "The village was an accident and not our fault. But this is yours. All your people are dying because of you." Then he parries her sword and slashes her chest with his own. More blood flows but this time, he's not going to offer a Grounder any mercy and prepares to attack again.

Stone's rifle ratchets off a triple burst at one of the archers who by some miracle manages to dive out of way of all three, leaving him to snarl out something very, very close to swearing. Of course, at this point, he's catching sight of the melee below and Sonia's zombie reanimation. "What in the heck is that woman on! She just won't go down!" Stone sees that its well under control though, and so is taking a bead on an archer and sliding behind the protective edge of the perch as he fires.

Cassandra lets out a grunt as yet another arrow strikes her in the chest, only to be mitigated again by Silas' armour. She prises it free with an angry scowl, but as she hears Sonia's battle-cry, a fire ignites her eyes. It's not that the strike doesn't hurt — the impact winds her, even though it doesn't pierce her flesh — but staring down the plucky young Grounder archer from her perch, right now, all it does is embolden her. "Jus Drein Jus Daun," she spits out in echo of the black-braided menace, at her own, Trikru opponent. She takes the man's own arrow, holds it up for him to see, and then nocks it into the bowstring to either shoot him in the throat or send him booking.

There was something karmic about this.

Lark draws a bead on the archer, and with a squeeze of the trigger - she can see the effect of her bullet. The bullet rips through the grounder's arm, and the guy yells in pain, twisting and falling to the ground. But she didn't see the arrow he loosed.

She felt it, burning red hot as it sinks into her thigh, a cry of pain breaking the focus she had encouraged so far.

And she glances over her shoulder. She must have had blood loss, as Lip was sauntering unto the field. Rising up to a stand in spite of the blood drooling down her leg, Lark fights to rise again through the pain, Lark steps back - aiming at one of the grounders climbing up the wall.

Grey brings his club down and strikes a glancing blow on the woman swarming up the grapnel, sending her staggering aside — but only after she makes it onto the wall-walk. "Let's make it later, Cole." He advances away from the other Delinquent, trying to drive his opponent back into Alison, "Might be about time to fall back, yeah?"

"<In Trigedasleng> Thought I told you to stay down," Erson grunts at Britt when he sees an arrow fly from her position. He shifts around his second quiver, having emptied the first one. "<In Trigedasleng> And let you hog all the glory?" Britt fires back, her voice thick and woozy sounding. Ow. Talking hurts. The arrow misses. Unsurprisingly, it's hard to shoot straight when you're having trouble seeing straight. "<In Trigedasleng> Blood will have blood," she mumbles. There may be no glory in this, but her perception of the battle may have been altered somewhat by nearly having her head blown off.

Shi tracks Stone's failed attack on the burst-dodging archer and sets up her aim on that one carefully, hoping to catch them flatfooted sooner.

Sonia flails somewhat wildly at Morgan with her sword, driven more than a little mad by pain and grief. She staggers back at the slash to her chest, her knees going weak for a moment as she sags back against the parapet, and then she's parrying Quinn's attack and wearily, angrily, pushing herself forward onto the attack again. "<In Trigedasleng> You killed them all!" She's not even together enough to speak Gonasleng at the moment.

<FS3> Morgan rolls Wit+wit: Good Success.

The third wave has hit the wall now, made it up the ladders and ropes, and now the fourth has already reached the bottom and started to climb up. And there's a fifth behind it. Across the gate, to the east, the Delinquents break, driven off the wall-walk. Some of them jump down to the inside of the camp, some of them fall, and Grounders start to swarm over the wall.

Alison is ready to turn her sphere into the next foe. She pokes him right in the chest plate, the tip of the arrow turned away. "Heh, you are a big one aren't you?" Well, Alison just decides to stab again backing up a little, but not running.

Tink aims, pulls the trigger and the bullet slams into his chest, causing the grounder to loose his aim and miss her but there's no signs of bleeding when it hits and it looks like the guy's armor absorbs it. Then Stone shoots at him and misses, "This must be the luckiest fucking grounder on the planet." Tink growls at frustration as she continues her assault on this grounder of many holes in him.

"Guys, they're over the other wall!" Silver shouts up, getting a lovely view of the rampaging horde from the other direction. "We're about to get stuck out here!"

Ruth manages to shoulder her way into the dropship, huddling up against the wall and catching her breath properly now that she doesn't have to bear witness to the screams, cries, and general anguish of battle. This is nothing like they saw in old videos and read in old books of war… well, maybe it's similar, but it's entirely different to experience it. Her head tilts back against the cool metal and she allows her eyes to slide shut. Of course, a few strange looks are leveled her way by med-techs and non-coms alike, but none disturb her. For all they know, this could be a psychotic break and it'd be rude to interrupt that sort of thing. Plus, she's covered in blood, and it's hard to tell how much of it is her own.

Hand shivering now, Lark's shot to the grounder head goes wild. It was Silver's shout that causes her to glance over her shoulder too. She wanted it over with. So perhaps… this was how it was going to end. Dropping down from the wallwalk sends new shivers of pain through her legs.

And she starts limping - fast as she can - towards the dropship. "We have to go!" she calls. "Or we won't be able to go at all!"

The combined effort, Cole stabbing Epoch into Grounder chest, and Grey going for the head, they seem to make a decent team when doing the teamup kinda thing. "I don't think we can keep this up much longer, Grey." Cole says, pulling his sword from the Grounder's chest and kicking her off the side of the wall walk. "We may have to pull back to the dropship. Fire the engines and hope to hell that burns everyone else outside." That was prepared, along with making sure the door was in proper working order. "But they just keep fuckin coming, man. And we got to be running low on bullets." There a shuddering breath, an attempt to catch it.

Silas is quiet, and his face gone grim with a lopsided scowl as he marches along the wall towards Sonia. He watches Morgan and Co. rain their attacks down onto Sonia and begins to step over as Sonia comes around and misses a swing at Quinn, and Silas begins to pick up speed as he runs towards her. Picking up speed and letting his eyes widen, his lips part as he bares his teeth as he begins to rush over towards her and both of his hands grip the handle of his sword. Coming in fast, Silas opens his mouth as he roars at her as he draws his sword around over his shoulder. Sucking in a breath through clenched teeth, Silas puts his weight into his swing as he sinks his blade into her neck, cleaving through but stopping short of completely cutting it off, prompting him to bring his left hand off the handle of his blade and push her head back as he pulls his blade out- letting her head flop back and barely hang from some muscle and skin. Staring at her, he circles around as he yells, "I'M COMING FOR THE REST OF YOU!" And without a moments delay begins moving off for his next target- clearly in some sort of state of 'gotta get d'em grounders.'
