Day 0: April 25th, 2149

Today is a day that none of us has ever thought would happen. Today we woke up in the skybox, as usual, but today we go to sleep on Earth. That's right. Earth. Ever since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with the planet below us on the Ark with the stories that my mother use to tell me. I have always wanted to know what it was like on the planet's surface and now we know. Now we know why they were giving us those Earth survival courses the past couple of weeks. I'm so glad that I had paid attention to the classes. I guess that's why Carter picked me for our "graduation" ceremony.

We woke up as normal, but soon the guards came into our cells and we all were escorted to the drop ship. Got another gut punch from the guards because I had to put up a little bit of resistance. I can't make their job completely easy now can I? But we were strapped into our jump seats on the ship and that was the last we probably will ever see of the Ark.

The freefall was, as one can expect, a terrifying experience and one that I never want to experience again. In mid freefall, we get a message from Chancellor Dickhole that basically says that we are going to Earth to see if it is viable for life because we are, in a word, expendable. And as a reward for risking our lives, we are pardoned for our crimes. Basically, I get pardoned for being born. What a fucking tool. The only thing that was useful was word that food and supplies were at Mount Weather.

Anyway, we made it safely to the ground and in one piece though two dumb asses died when we entered the atmosphere after they left their seats when we were weightless. Some people threw up and others got some minor injuries from what I heard. But anyway, we get unstrapped and I'm chosen to be the canary and get to be the first one to step foot on Earth in 97 years. That was something that I never thought that I would get to do. I also was the first one to vomit on Earth in 97 years.

After the initial shock and awe dissipated, I realized that we weren't on a mountain. We weren't where the supplies were. I tried to ask Grey, but it seems like he didn't care much. We're going to need those supplies. I did some scouting and, after climbing a tree, I found Mount Weather to be a couple miles to the west.

I don't know how, but we're going to have to go and get those supplies if we're going to survive. I know we're just kids and they don't care about it at the moment, but they're going to start caring when they get hungry. I don't want to be that guy, but having to rely on myself in the skybox tells me that I'm going to have to do it on my own if I have to. If it comes down to that, I'll head to Mount Weather and never come back. I'll make it my own place and survive on my own or with whoever actually cares enough to take the trip with me.

I know it's a dream come true for me and I should be enjoying my time here on the planet that I've dreamed about for so long, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Especially since no one else seems to be doing it. I'll start drafting a plan tomorrow.
